Wireless power transfer(WPT) is another promising technology to prolong the operation time of low-power wireless devices in the era of Internet of Things(IoT). However, the integration of WPT and UAV-enabled MEC systems is far from being well studied, especially in dynamic environments. In order to tackle this issue, this paper aims to investigate the stochastic computation offloading and trajectory scheduling for the UAV-enabled wireless powered MEC system. A UAV offers both RF wireless power transmission and computation services for IoT devices. Considering the stochastic task arrivals and random channel conditions, a long-term average energyefficiency(EE) minimization problem is formulated.Due to non-convexity and the time domain coupling of the variables in the formulated problem, a lowcomplexity online computation offloading and trajectory scheduling algorithm(OCOTSA) is proposed by exploiting Lyapunov optimization. Simulation results verify that there exists a balance between EE and the service delay, and demonstrate that the system EE performance obtained by the proposed scheme outperforms other benchmark schemes.展开更多

In particular, burst interference may occur only on data symbols but not on pilot symbols, which means that interference information cannot be premeasured. To cancel the burst interference, we first revisit the uplink multi-user system and develop a matrixform system model, where the covariance pattern and the low-rank property of the interference matrix is discussed. Then, we propose a turbo message passing based burst interference cancellation(TMP-BIC) algorithm to solve the data detection problem, where the constellation information of target data is fully exploited to refine its estimate. Furthermore, in the TMP-BIC algorithm, we design one module to cope with the interference matrix by exploiting its lowrank property. Numerical results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm can effectively mitigate the adverse effects of burst interference and approach the interference-free bound.展开更多

In the network virtualization environment, a set of heterogeneous virtual networks(VNs), isolated from each other, share the underlying resources of one or multiple substrate networks(SNs) according to the resource allocation strategy. However, the performance of UAV-assisted mobile relay communication system is limited by the capacity of wireless backhaul link between base station and UAV. In this paper, we consider a caching UAV-assisted decode-and-forward relay communication system in a downlink maritime communication. For the general case with multiple users, the optimal placement of UAV is obtained by solving the average achievable rate maximization problem through the one-dimensional linear search. For a special case with single user, we derive a semi closedform expression of the optimal placement of UAV. Simulation results confirm the accuracy of analytical results and show that the optimal placement of UAV and the average achievable rate significantly depend on the cache capacity at UAV. We also show the difference between the performances of the air-to-ground model and the air-to-sea model.展开更多

It is assumed that D2 D users reuse the downlink time-frequency resources of cellular links, and the base station(BS) is assumed to be equipped with multiple antennas. We investigate the ergodic achievable sum rate of the system when the interference cancellation(IC) precoding strategy is employed at the BS. The distributions of the received signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio(SINR) for each link are firstly analyzed, and an exact ergodic achievable sum rate of the whole system with closedform expressions is then derived. Furthermore, we present novel upper and lower bounds with simpler expressions, which are later verified to be fairly close to the Monte-Carlo simulations. All the expressions we presented are suitable for arbitrary network topology and arbitrary number of antennas at BS. Based on the derived bounds, the influence of the antennas at BS on system performance is then analyzed. We reveal that the system performance increases along with the number of antennas at BS in a logarithmic way. The accuracy of our analytical results is validated via comparisons with Monte-Carlo simulations.展开更多

Through virtualization, multiple customized virtual networks(VNs), requested by users, are allowed to coexist on the underlying substrate networks(SNs). In addition, the virtualization scheme contributes to sharing underlying physical resources simultaneously and seamlessly. However, multiple technical issues still stand in the way of NV successful implementation. One key technical issue is virtual network embedding(VNE), known as the resource allocation problem for NV. This paper conducts a survey of embedding algorithms for VNE problem. At first, the NV business model for VNE problem is presented. Then, the latest VNE problem description is presented. Main performance metrics for evaluating embedding algorithms are also involved. Afterwards, existing VNE algorithms are detailed, according to the novel proposed category approach. Next, key future research aspects of embedding algorithms are listed out. Finally, the paper is briefly concluded.展开更多

文摘Recently, due to the deployment flexibility of unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs), UAV-assisted mobile relay communication system has been widely used in the maritime communication. We also show the difference between the performances of the air-to-ground model and the air-to-sea model.

文摘Non-orthogonal multiple access(NOMA)is considered as one of the key technologies for the fifth generation(5G)wireless communications. The integration of NOMA and device-to-device(D2D)communications has recently attracted wide attention. In this paper,a relaying D2D communications assisted with cooperative relaying systems using NOMA(DRC-NOMA)is considered. We analyze the ergodic sum-rate for the proposed system and then derive the closed-form expressions. In addition,an optimal power allocation strategy maximizing the ergodic sum-rate is proposed based on these analysis results.Numerical results show the good agreement between the results of analysis and Monte Carlo method. The proposed DRC-NOMA has a great improvement of the ergodic sum-rate in the small regime of average channel gain of D2D pair.

文摘This paper investigates the device-to-device(D2 D) communication underlaying multi-user multi-input multi-output(MU-MIMO) cellular networks. The accuracy of our analytical results is validated via comparisons with Monte-Carlo simulations.

文摘In this paper,a reconfigurable intelligent surface(RIS)-assisted MIMO wireless secure communication system is considered,in which a base station(BS)equipped with multiple antennas exploits statistical channel state information to communicate with a legitimate multi-antenna user,in the presence of an eavesdropper, also equipped with multiple antennas. We firstly obtain an analytical expression of the ergodic secrecy rate based on the results of largedimensional random matrix theory. Then,a jointly alternating optimization algorithm with the method of Taylor series expansion and the projected gradient ascent method is proposed to design the transmit covariance matrix at the BS,as well as the diagonal phaseshifting matrix to maximize the ergodic secrecy rate.Simulations are conducted to demonstrate the accuracy of the derived analytical expressions,as well as the superior performance of our proposed algorithm.

文摘Network virtualization(NV) is pushed forward by its proponents as a crucial attribute of next generation network, aiming at overcoming the gradual ossification of current networks, particularly to the worldwide Internet. Finally, the paper is briefly concluded.

文摘The major challenge faced by the fifth generation(5G) mobile network is higher spectral efficiency and massive connectivity,i.e.,the target spectrum efficiency is 3 times over 4G,and the target connection density is one million devices per square kilometer. These requirements are difficult to be satisfied with orthogonal multiple access(OMA) schemes.Non-orthogonal multiple access(NOMA) has thus been proposed as a promising candidate to address some of the challenges for 5G.In this paper,a comprehensive survey of different candidate NOMA schemes for 5G is presented, where the usage scenarios of5 G and the application requirements for NOMA are firstly discussed.A general framework of NOMA scheme is established and the features of typical NOMA schemes are analyzed and compared. We focus on the recent progress and challenge of NOMA in standardization of international telecommunication union(ITU),and 3rd generation partnership project(3GPP).In addition, prototype development and future research directions are also provided respectively.

文摘Owing to the dramatic mobile IP growth, the emerging Internet of Things, and cloud-based applications, wireless networking is witnessing a paradigm shift.By fully exploiting spatial degrees of freedom, massive multiple-input-multiple-output(MIMO) systems promise significant gains in data rates and link reliability.Although the research community has recognized the theoretical benefits of these systems, building the hardware of such complex systems is a challenge in practice. This paper presents a time division duplex(TDD)-based 128-antenna massive MIMO prototype system from theory to reality.First,an analytical signal model is provided to facilitate the setup of a feasible massive MIMO prototype system.Second,a link-level simulation consistent with practical TDDbased massive MIMO systems is conducted to guide and validate the massive MIMO system design. We design and implement the TDDbased 128-antenna massive MIMO prototype system with the guidelines obtained from the link-level simulation.Uplink real-time video transmission and downlink data transmission under the configuration of multiple single-antenna users are achieved.Comparisons withstate-of-the-art prototypes demonstrate the advantages of the proposed system in terms of antenna number, bandwidth, latency, and throughput. The proposed system is also equipped with scalability, which makes the system applicable to a wide range of massive scenarios.

文摘Distributed transmit beamforming(DTB) is very efficient for extending the communication distance between a swarm of UAVs and the base, particularly when considering the constraints in weight and battery life for payloads on UAVs.In this paper,we review major function modules and potential solutions in realizing DTB in UAV systems, such as timing and carrier synchronization, phase drift tracking and compensation, and beamforming vector generation and updating. We then focus on beamforming vector generation and updating, and introduce a concatenated training scheme, together with a recursive channel estimation and updating algorithm. We also propose three approaches for tracking the variation of channels and updating the vectors. The effectiveness of these approaches is validated by simulation results.

文摘This paper proposes an approach called PC-CORP (Power Control based Cooperative Opportunistic Routing Protocol) for WSN (Wireless Sensor Networks), providing robustness to the random variations in network connectivity while ensuring better data forwarding efficiency in an energy efficient manner. Based on the realistic radio model, we combine the region-based routing, rendezvous scheme, sleep discipline and cooperative communication together to model data forwarding by cross layer design in WSN. At the same time, a lightweight transmission power control algorithm called PC-AIMD (Power Control Additive Increase Multiplicative Decrease) is introduced to utilize the co- operation of relay nodes to improve the forwarding efficiency performance and increase the robustness of the routing protocol. In the simulation, the performance of PC-COPR is investigated in terms of the adaptation of variations in network connectivity and satisfying the QoS requirements of application.
