In this paper, we present a study of thermal, average power scaling, change in index of refraction and stress in photonic crystal fiber lasers with different pump schemes: forward pump scheme, backward pump scheme, forward pump scheme with reflection of 98%, backward pump scheme with reflection of 98% and bi-directional pump scheme. We show that management of thermal effects in fiber lasers will determine the efficiency and success of scaling-up efforts. In addition, we show that the most suitable scheme is the bi-directional. 展开更多

One of the difficulties encountered in the study of dusty plasmas is related to the knowledge of the size of the dust particles present. A variety of sources, physical and chemical mechanisms of formation, causes a wide variety of sizes and morphologies of dust. The diameter of a dust will not be unique but spread over several orders of magnitude. Its distribution in number, surface, mass or volume is called distribution. It is important to know this distribution in particle size because it strongly impacts the physical and radiative processes. To have a dust distribution in situ is very difficult;the reverse method can identify the particle populations from light extinction measures. In this study, we present an inversion procedure with a Tikhonov regularization dedicated to the determination of volume size distribution (V-PSD) from extinction measurements corresponding to the different wavelengths obtained by the Extinction Spectrometry technique. 展开更多

We study the evolution in time of the quantum Mathieu oscillator (QMO), according to the motion of a charged particle in a radio frequency Paul trap. We adopt non-perturbative treatment based on the quantized Floquet formalism together with the resonating averages method (RAM). We prove that we can develop solutions of the time-dependent Schr&#246;dinger equation of such a system, in terms of the simple harmonic oscillator wave functions. Numerical simulations of the analytical results are performed to show the coherence and the squeezed proprieties of the wave-packet of this system. 展开更多

The Comparative Study of the Temperature Distribution of Fiber Laser with Different Pump Schemes

Based on the structure of the long fiber laser (YDCFLs) with different pump schemes using high pump power, the nonlinear coupled and heat dissipation equations are solved numerically. Using the finite-difference method, we have determined the temperature distribution along the radial and axial directions of the fiber laser (YDCFLs) for the forward pump schemes of 200 W with reflection Rp2, backward pump schemes of 200 W with reflection Rp1 and for bidirectional pump scheme of 100 W each side. The results are: the temperature distribution for bidirectional pump mode is more even than that for forward pump with reflection Rp2 and than that for backward pump with reflection Rp1. The results show that the maximum temperature difference between different schemes is 57.51°C, and when the air-clad width decreases, the temperature in the core regions also decreases and does not affect to the cladding radius regions. We summarize that the temperature in the core and in cladding radius regions decreases when the outer radius cladding increases. 展开更多

In our investigation,we explore the quantum dynamics of charge-free scalar particles through the Klein–Gordon equation within the framework of rainbow gravity,considering the Bonnor–Melvin-Lambda(BML)space-time background.The BML solution is characterized by the magnetic field strength along the axis of the symmetry direction which is related to the cosmological constantΛand the topological parameterαof the geometry.The behavior of charge-free scalar particles described by the Klein–Gordon equation is investigated,utilizing two sets of rainbow functions:(i)f(χ)=■,h(χ)=1 and(ii)f(χ)=1,h(χ)=1+βХ/2.Here 0<(Х=■)≤1 with E representing the particle's energy,Ep is the Planck's energy,andβis the rainbow parameter.We obtain the approximate analytical solutions for the scalar particles and conduct a thorough analysis of the obtained results.Afterwards,we study the quantum dynamics of quantum oscillator fields within this BML space-time,employing the Klein–Gordon oscillator.Here also,we choose the same sets of rainbow functions and obtain the approximate eigenvalue solution for the oscillator fields.Notably,we demonstrate that the relativistic approximate energy profiles of charge-free scalar particles and oscillator fields get influenced by the topology of the geometry and the cosmological constant.Furthermore,we show that the energy profiles of scalar particles receive modifications from the rainbow parameter and the quantum oscillator fields by both the rainbow parameter and the frequency of oscillation. 展开更多

Detailed structural and dielectric properties of Lanthanum-doped barium titanate Ba_(1-x)La_(x)Tie_(1-x/4)O_(3)ceramic powders BLTx(where x=0:00;0.10;0.20;0.30 and 0.40)/BT,BLT10,BLT20,BLT30 and BLT40,synthesized by the sol gel process,calcined at 900℃for 3 h and sintered at 1250○C for 6 h,have been investigated.The phase formation and crystal structure of the samples were checked by X-ray diffraction(XRD)and Raman spectroscopy.The samples crystallize in the pure perovskite structure that transforms from tetragonal to pseudocubic under doping with La;results that have been confirmed by Rietveld Refinement technique.The estimated average crystallite size of the samples was about 23 nm.Dielectric parameters(dielectric permittivity and losses)were determined in the temperature range room temperature(RT)-280℃and in the frequency range 500 Hz-2 MHz.La doping gives rise to a strong decrease of the ferro-to-paraelectric transition temperature,and the frequency dependence of the permittivity shows that the samples with x=0.00 and x=0.10 reach their resonance frequency.The frequency dependence of impedance and electric modulus properties were studied over a wide frequency range from 1 kHz to 2MHz at various temperatures to confirm the contributions from grains and grain-boundaries.The complex impedance analysis data have been presented in the Nyquist plot which is used to identify the corresponding equivalent circuit and fundamental circuit parameters;it was found that the grain boundaries resistance is dominant at room temperature.The frequency dependence of the parameters permittivity,losses and AC conductivity reveals that the relaxation process is of the Maxwell-Wagner type of interfacial polarization. 展开更多

We propose an approach based on Floquet theorem combined with the resonating averages method (RAM), to solve the time-dependent Schr&#246;dinger equation with a time-periodic Hamiltonian. This approach provides an alternative way to determine directly the evolution operator, and then we deduct the wave functions and the corresponding quasi-energies, of quantum systems. An application is operated for the driven cubic or/and quatric anharmonic as well as for the Morse potential. Comparisons of our results with those of other authors are discussed, and numerical evaluations are performed, to determine the dissociation energy of (HCl) and (CO) molecules. 展开更多
