Primal-Dual Interior-Point Algorithms with Dynamic Step-Size Based on Kernel Functions for Linear Programming

In this paper, primal-dual interior-point algorithm with dynamic step size is implemented for linear programming （LP） problems. The algorithms are based on a few kernel functions, including both serf-regular functions and non-serf-regular ones. The dynamic step size is compared with fixed step size for the algorithms in inner iteration of Newton step. Numerical tests show that the algorithms with dynaraic step size are more efficient than those with fixed step size.

A Further Study on an Extended Nonlinear Ocean-Atmosphere Coupled Hydrodynamic Characteristic System and the Abrupt Feature of ENSO Events

An extended ocean-atmosphere coupled characteristic system including thermodynamic physical processes in ocean mixed layer is formulated in order to describe SST explicitly and remove possible limitation of ocean-atmosphere coupling assumption in hydrodynamic ENSO models. It is revealed that there is a kind of abrupt nonlinear characteristic behaviour, which relates to rapid onset and intermittency of El Nino events, on the second order slow time scale due to the nonlinear interaction between a linear unstable low-frequency primary eigen component of ocean-atmosphere coupled Kelvin wave and its higher order harmonic components under a strong ocean-atmosphere coupling background. And, on the other hand, there is a kind of finite amplitude nonlinear characteristic behaviour on the second order slow time scale due to the nonlinear interaction between the linear unstable primary eigen component and its higher order harmonic components under a weak ocean-atmosphere coupling background in this model system.

The Effects of Zonal Flow on Nonlinear Rossby Waves

In this paper, we using phase plane method have derived the stability criteria of linear and nonlinear Rossby waves under the conditions of semi-geostrophic approximation and have gotten the solutions and geostrophic vorticity of corresponding solitary Rossby waves. It is pointed out that the wave stability is connected with the distribution of zonal flow and when the zonal flow is different the solitary wave trough or ridge is formed.

BIFURCATION AND CHAOS OF THE CIRCULAR PLATES ON THE NONLINEAR ELASTIC FOUNDATION

According to the large amplitude equation of the circular plate on nonlinear elastic foundation , elastic resisting force has linear item , cubic nonlinear item and resisting bend elastic item. A nonlinear vibration equation is obtained with the method of Galerkin under the condition of fixed boundary. Floquet exponent at equilibrium point is obtained without external excitation. Its stability and condition of possible bifurcation is analysed. Possible chaotic vibration is analysed and studied with the method of Melnikov with external excitation . The critical curves of the chaotic region and phase figure under some foundation parameters are obtained with the method of digital artificial.

PERIODIC SOLUTIONS OF LINEAR NEUTRAL INTEGRO-DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS

Homotopy Continuation Method for Linear Complementarity Problems

It is well known that a linear complementarity problem (LCP) can be formulated as a system of nonsmooth equations F(x) = 0, where F is a map from Rninto itself. Using the aggregate function, we construct a smooth Newton homotopy H(x,t) = 0. Under certain assumptions, we prove the existence of a smooth path defined by the Newton homotopy which leads to a solution of the original problem, and study limiting properties of the homotopy path.

Identification of Modal Parameters with Linear Structure under Non-stationary Ambient Excitation

Empirical mode decomposition (EMD) is proposed to identify linear structure under non-stationary excitation,and non-white noise coefficient is introduced under the assumption of random signals consisting of white noise and non-white noise signals. The cross-correlation function of response signal is decomposed into mode functions and residue by EMD method. The identification technique of the modal parameters of single freedom degree is applied to each mode function to obtain natural frequencies, damping ratios and mode shapes. The results of identification of the five-degree freedom linear system demonstrate that the proposed method is effective in identifying the parameters of linear structures under non-stationary ambient excitation.

An Investigation on the Parabolic Subgroups of the General Linear Groups by Using GAP

A typical example for the algebraic groups is the general linear groups G=GL(n,F), we have studied the structure of such groups and paid special attention to its important substructures, namely the Parabolic subgroups. For a given G we computed all the Parabolic subgroups and determined their number, depending on the fact that any finite group has a composition series and the composition factors of a composition series are simple groups which are completely classified, we report here some investigations on the computed Parabolic subgroups. This has been done with the utility of GAP.

Research on Simulation and Test of the Nonlinear Responses for the Hydraulic Shock Absorber

Basically on the multi-body system dynamics,the virtual prototype of the hydraulic shock absorber for the bench test is developed in the ADAMS environment.Dynamic behaviors of the absorber are studied by both computer simulation and real test.Numerical predictions of dynamic responses are produced by the established virtual prototype of the absorber and compared with experimental results.It has been shown from the comparison that the vibration behaviors of the prototype with hysteretic damping characteristics are considered to be more identical with the bench test results than those of the same prototype with piecewise linear damping properties are.The current virtual prototype of the shock absorber is correct and can be a developing terrace for the optimizing design of the absorber and matching capability of the whole car.

Synthesis of Linear Alkylbenzene in a Novel Liquid-Solid Circulating Moving Bed Reactor

For the alkylation of benzene with long-chain olefins, using Hβ zeolite catalyst as replacement of HF or A1Cl3 has the advantages of no corrosion, less environmental pollution, and much more 2-phenyl isomer, which has the highest biodegradability and solubility, and better detergent properties among the related isomers. The characterization of the coke shows that the deactivation of catalyst is caused by the jam of bulkier molecules, such as naphthalene, indane and linear alkylbenzenes, which are too big to move quickly in the intracrystalline pores of catalyst. The deactivated catalyst can be regenerated by benzene washing at higher temperature. To make the processes of reaction and regeneration continuous, a novel moving bed reactor is developed. Comparing with the processes with fixed bed reactors, the processes in this work have the advantages of continuous operation, low temperature, low pressure, low mole ratio of benzene to olefins, and high weight hourly space velocity.Keywords t3 zeolite, alkylation, linear alkylbenzene, moving bed

针对基于开绕组永磁同步电机和双电池组驱动的电动汽车提出一种集成化充电拓扑,充电运行时将双逆变器和电机绕组复用为双PWM整流器及其输入侧滤波电感。在三相电压源型整流器(VSR)和开绕组永磁电机数学模型的基础上,将电网坐标系和电机坐标系相统一,分析了充电状态下的电磁转矩。实际运行时存在双电池剩余电量不相等的情况,导致充电时双通道功率不平衡,因此设计了一种准直接功率控制策略,以解决功率不平衡带来的转矩脉动问题。最后通过仿真和实验验证了该集成化充电拓扑的可行性。

CONSISTENT NONPARAMETRIC ESTIMATION OF ERROR DISTRIBUTIONS IN LINEAR MODEL'

MIXED MONOTONE ITERATIVE TECHNIQUES FOR SEMILINEAR EVOLUTION EQUATIONS IN BANACH SPACES

This paper is concerned with initial value problems for semilinear evolution equations in Banach spaces. The abstract iterative schemes are constructed by combining the theory of semigroups of linear operators and the method of mixed monotone iterations. Some existence results on minimal and maximal (quasi)solutions are established for abstract semilinear evolution equations with mixed monotone or mixed quasimonotone nonlinear terms. To illustrate the main results, applications to ordinary differential equations and partial differential equations are also given.

SLIM – a formalism for linear coupled systems
