BACKGROUND A significant relationship between gastric cancer(GC)and depression has been found in the last 20 years.However,there is no comprehensive information that helps researchers find popular and potential resear...BACKGROUND A significant relationship between gastric cancer(GC)and depression has been found in the last 20 years.However,there is no comprehensive information that helps researchers find popular and potential research directions on GC and depression.AIM To determine the research status and hotspots by bibliometric analysis of relevant publications on the relationship between GC and depression.METHODS We used the Web of Science Core Collection to search and collate the literature on GC and depression from 2000 to 2022 on 31 May,2023.Then,visualization analysis was performed using VOSviewer software(version 1.6.19)and the Bibliometrix package in R software.RESULTS We retrieved 153 pertinent publications from 2000 to 2022.The annual publication count showed an overall upward trend.China had the most prominent publications and significant contributions to this field(n=64,41.83%).Before 2020,most studies focused on“the effect of GC on the development and progression of depression in patients.”The latest research trends indicate that“the effect of depression on the occurrence and development of GC and its mechanism”will receive more attention in the future.CONCLUSION The study of“the effect of depression on the occurrence and development of GC and its mechanism”has emerged as a novel research theme over the past two years,which may become a research hotspot in this field.This study provides new insights into the hotpots and frontiers of the relationship between GC and depression,potentially guiding researchers toward hot research topics in the future.展开更多

Nevertheless, late recurrences of atrial fibrillation(LRAF) occurring during 3 to 12months are common, and the underlying mechanisms remain elusive. Circular RNAs(circ RNAs) in atrial tissue have been linked to the pathophysiological mechanisms and progression of PAF in a few studies. However, their expression patterns in peripheral blood and regulatory function in LRAF are not clear.METHODS In the present study, the expression profile of circulating circ RNAs in three paired nonvalvular PAF patients with or without LRAF was investigated by high-throughput sequencing and validated by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction(q RT-PCR). Bioinformatics analyses, including Gene Ontology(GO), Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG)pathway analysis, and circ RNA/mi RNA regulatory network, were performed to predict the functions and potential regulatory roles of differentially expressed(DE) circ RNAs.RESULTS A total of 12,834 circ RNAs, comprising 5,491 down-regulated and 7,343 up-regulated circ RNAs, were found to be DE in blood smaples from the two groups in peripheral blood between LRAF and non-recurrence control individuals. The most enriched GO categories in terms of molecular function, biological process, and cellular component features were catalytic activity,cellular metabolic process, and intracellular part, respectively. The KEGG enrichment study revealed that the most important metabolic process controlled by DE circ RNAs is endocytosis. In the circ RNA/micro RNAs interaction network, four up-regulated circ RNAs(hsa_circ_0002665, hsa_circ_0001953, hsa_circ_0003831, and hsa_circ_0040533) and one down-regulated circ RNA(hsa_circ_0041103) were predicted to play potential regulatory roles in the pathogenesis of LRAF.CONCLUSIONS This investigation discovered the expression pattern of circulating circ RNAs that is indicative of PAF late recurrence, which may serve as risk markers or therapeutic targets for LRAF after PVI.展开更多
AIM:To develop a useful diabetic retinopathy(DR)screening tool for patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM).METHODS:A DR prediction model based on the Logistic regression algorithm was established on the developme...AIM:To develop a useful diabetic retinopathy(DR)screening tool for patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM).METHODS:A DR prediction model based on the Logistic regression algorithm was established on the development dataset containing 778 samples(randomly assigned to the training dataset and the internal validation dataset at a ratio of 7:3).The generalization capability of the model was assessed using an external validation dataset containing 128 samples.The DR risk calculator was developed through We Chat Developer Tools using Java Script,which was embedded in the We Chat Mini Program.RESULTS:The model revealed risk factors(duration of diabetes,diabetic nephropathy,and creatinine level)and protective factors(annual DR screening and hyperlipidemia)for DR.In the internal and external validation,the recall ratios of the model were 0.92 and 0.89,respectively,and the area under the curve values were 0.82 and 0.70,respectively.CONCLUSION:The DR screening tool integrates education,risk prediction,and medical advice function,which could help clinicians in conducting DR risk assessments and providing recommendations for ophthalmic referral to increase the DR screening rate among patients with T2DM.展开更多
BACKGROUND The studies of laparoscopic-assisted transhiatal gastrectomy(LTG) in patients with Siewert type Ⅱ adenocarcinoma of the esophagogastric junction(AEG) are scarce.AIM To compare the surgical efficiency of LT...BACKGROUND The studies of laparoscopic-assisted transhiatal gastrectomy(LTG) in patients with Siewert type Ⅱ adenocarcinoma of the esophagogastric junction(AEG) are scarce.AIM To compare the surgical efficiency of LTG with the open transhiatal gastrectomy(OTG) for patients with Siewert type Ⅱ AEG.METHODS We retrospectively evaluated a total of 578 patients with Siewert type Ⅱ AEG who have undergone LTG or OTG at the First Medical Center of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army General Hospital from January 2014 to December 2019. The short-term and long-term outcomes were compared between the LTG(n = 382) and OTG(n = 196) groups.RESULTS Compared with the OTG group, the LTG group had a longer operative time but less blood loss, shorter length of abdominal incision and an increased number of harvested lymph nodes(P < 0.05). Patients in the LTG group were able to eat liquid food, ambulate, expel flatus and discharge sooner than the OTG group(P < 0.05). No significant differences were found in postoperative complications and R0 resection. The 3-year overall survival and disease-free survival performed better in the LTG group compared with that in the OTG group(88.2% vs 79.2%, P = 0.011;79.7% vs 73.0%, P = 0.002, respectively). In the stratified analysis, both overall survival and disease-free survival were better in the LTG group than those in the OTG group for stage Ⅱ/Ⅲ patients(P < 0.05) but not for stage I patients.CONCLUSION For patients with Siewert type Ⅱ AEG, LTG is associated with better short-term outcomes and similar oncology safety. In addition, patients with advanced stage AEG may benefit more from LTG in the long-term outcomes.展开更多
Biomass energy has become an important measure to alleviate ecological environment security and energy supply security in China.Emergy accounting method is used to analyze and evaluate economy,environment,and sustaina...Biomass energy has become an important measure to alleviate ecological environment security and energy supply security in China.Emergy accounting method is used to analyze and evaluate economy,environment,and sustainability of corn straw generation system,which includes corn planting subsystem,collection and transportation subsystem,and corn straw power generation subsystem.The key substances that need to be optimized in the system are identified by using sensitivity analysis.Based on the position of key substances in the system,emergy accounting optimization methodology is conducted.Corresponding optimization design scheme is proposed based on the '3R' (reduce,reuse,and recycle) principle of circular economy.Current study shows that emergy yield ratio,emergy investment ratio,environmental loading ratio,and emergy sustainability index of the corn straw power generation system are 3.69,2.68,1.61,and 2.29,respectively,which are better than wind power generation system and thermal power generation system.In addition,it is proposed that the fertilizer alternative plan and the transportation redesign plan can replace 50,000 tons potash and reduce equipment resources by 20% and energy resources input by 30%.Economy and sustainable development of the system is significantly improved.The optimization design method based on the '3R' principle proposed in this paper can provide a useful reference for the research in the field of resource recycling.展开更多

The aim of this study was to retrospectively determine and compare the detection rate of adenomas, advanced adenomas ...Background: Colorectal cancer (CRC) screening is effective in reducing CRC incidence and mortality. The aim of this study was to retrospectively determine and compare the detection rate of adenomas, advanced adenomas (AAs) and CRCs, and the number needed to screen (NNS) of individuals in an average-risk Chinese population of different ages and genders. Methods: This was a retrospective study performed at the Institute of Health Management, Chinese People’s Liberation Army General Hospital. Colonoscopy results were analyzed for 53,152 individuals finally enrolled from January 2013 to December 2019. The detection rate of adenomas, AAs, or CRCs was computed and the characteristics between men and women were compared using chi-squared test. Results: The average age was 48.8 years (standard deviation [SD], 8.5 years) for men and 50.0 years (SD, 9.0 years) for women, and the gender rate was 66.27% (35,226) vs . 33.73% (17,926). The detection rates of adenomas, AAs, serrated adenomas, and CRCs were 14.58% (7750), 3.09% (1641), 1.23% (653), and 0.59% (313), respectively. Men were statistically significantly associated with higher detection rates than women in adenomas (17.20% [6058/35,226], 95% confidence interval [CI] 16.74-17.53% vs . 9.44% [1692/17,926], 95% CI 8.94-9.79%, P < 0.001), AAs (3.72% [1309], 95% CI 3.47-3.87% vs . 1.85% [332], 95% CI 1.61-2.00%, P < 0.001), and serrated adenomas (1.56% [548], 95% CI 1.43-1.69% vs . 0.59% [105], 95% CI 0.47-0.70%, P < 0.001). The detection rate of AAs in individuals aged 45 to 49 years was 3.17% (270/8510, 95% CI 2.80-3.55%) in men and 1.69% (69/4091, 95% CI 1.12-1.86%) in women, and their NNS was 31.55 (95% CI 28.17-35.71) in men and 67.11 (95% CI 53.76-89.29) in women. The NNS for AAs in men aged 45 to 49 years was close to that in women aged 65 to 69 years (29.07 [95% CI 21.05-46.73]). Conclusions: The detection rates of adenomas, AAs, and serrated adenomas are high in the asymptomatic population undergoing a physical examination and are associated with gender and age. Our findings will provide important references for effective population-based CRC screening strategies in the future.展开更多

The detection rate of AAs in individuals aged 45 to 49 years was 3.17% (270/8510, 95% CI 2.80-3.55%) in men and 1.69% (69/4091, 95% CI 1.12-1.86%) in women, and their NNS was 31.55 (95% CI 28.17-35.71) in men and 67.11 (95% CI 53.76-89.29) in women. The NNS for AAs in men aged 45 to 49 years was close to that in women aged 65 to 69 years (29.07 [95% CI 21.05-46.73]). Conclusions: The detection rates of adenomas, AAs, and serrated adenomas are high in the asymptomatic population undergoing a physical examination and are associated with gender and age. Our findings will provide important references for effective population-based CRC screening strategies in the future.

文摘The coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19),caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2),is threatening public health.The human angiotensin-converting enzyme 2(ACE2)has a remarkably high affinity binding to SARS-CoV-2.This study explored whether certain populations,including obese and cancer patients,are susceptible to SARS-CoV-2.The expression pattern of ACE2 in normal and tumor tissues of cancer patients was compared by the search for network database and re-analysis of pubic data.The level of ACE2 expression in normal adipose tissue was higher than that in normal lung tissue,which indicated the adipose tissue might be vulnerable to SARS-CoV-2;the levels of ACE2 expressed by adipocytes and adipose progenitor cells were similar between non-obese individuals and obese individuals(BMI>29),but obese individuals have more adiposes so as to increase the number of ACE2-expressing cells;the expression of ACE2 in tumor tissues posed by five different types of cancers increased significantly compared with that in adjacent tissues.Therefore,we proposed the following hypothesis:the obese individuals and five types of cancer patients might have a higher risk of SARS-CoV-2 infection,which might become the target population of SARS-CoV-2 infection in the future.

文摘Triage management plays important roles in hospitalized patients for disease severity stratification and medical burden analysis.Although progression risks have been extensively researched for numbers of diseases,other crucial indicators that reflect patients’economic and time costs have not been systematically studied.To address the problems,we developed an automatic deep learning based Auto Triage Management(ATM)Framework capable of accurately modelling patients’disease progression risk and health economic evaluation.Based on them,we can first discover the relationship between disease progression and medical system cost,find potential features that can more precisely aid patient triage in resource allocation,and allow treatment plan searching that has cured patients.Applying ATM in COVID-19,we built a joint model to predict patients’risk,the total length of stay(Lo S)and cost when at-admission,and remaining Lo S and cost at a given hospitalized time point,with C-index0.930 and 0.869 for risk prediction,mean absolute error(MAE)of 5.61 and 5.90 days for total Lo S prediction in internal and external validation data.

文摘This study aimed to use the sample entropy(Samp En)method to compare the difference between normoxia and hypobaric hypoxia exposure in heart rate variability.Eight healthy male volunteers were included in this research.For each subject,electrocardiography and finger pulse signal were recorded to obtain the heart rate time series.The Sp O2 signal was collected at the same time.In normoxia or hypobaric hypoxia 4300 m section,the segment of RR time series from the second5 min episode(from the 6 th to the 10 th min)was chosen for the Samp En calculation.The differences between normoxia and hypobaric hypoxia states were analyzed.Results showed that a significant difference exists in Samp En between two states(normoxia 0.54±0.05 vs hypobaric hypoxia 4300 m exposure 0.46±0.05),indicating the regulatory mechanisms of autonomic nervous system from a nonlinear perspective.
