However, most of the literature review tackled the implementation issues of portfolios in the language classroom and lacked of information about the ELP (European Language Portfolio) Project. In Europe, the CE (Council of Europe) promoted a series of projects for the coming of lifelong learning era. It was shown that nc-Si could be deposited from hydrogen diluted silane gas at a substrate temperature of 80℃ with a crystalline fraction up to 80% and a lateral grain size of around 50 nm. This was achieved by growing the nc-Si in a low pressure regime which ensured that mono-silyl species were the dominant deposition precursor. Furthermore, a high flux of energetic hydrogen ions was required to induce crystallisation of the silicon material through a chemical annealing process.展开更多

Genetic algorithms (GAs) are employed as the search tool for optimization because these algorithms are suitable for solving optimization problems involving multiple discrete variable combinations. The numerical computation packages, ANSYS and MATLAB, have been used to estimate the optimum stacking sequence of CLD laminated structures. MATLAB package is used to achieve GAs process, and ANSYS package is used to proceed the structural analysis. This study successfully developed a numerical simulation mechanism for optimizing CLD adhesion efficiency by implementing GAs and the finite element method. The loss coefficients of the CLD damping layer vary with vibration frequency and failure constraints of CLD laminated plates are considered in objective function. In addition, the modified plasticity analysis (MPA) is used to increase the search efficiency of GAs and simply plastic analysis.展开更多

Sediment samples from ten locations located between the river mouths and harbor entrance of northern Kaohsiung Harborwere collected quarterly in 2011 and characterized for Cr, aluminum, water content, organic matter, total nitrogen, total phosphorous, total grease, and grain size. Results showed that the Cr concentrations varied from 27.0 to361.9 mg/kgwith an average of (113.5 ± 87.0) mg/kg. High Cr concentrationwas observed near the Jen-Gen River mouth. The mean Cr concentrationwas high at 255.5 mg/kg,whichwas at least 2 to 7 times than that of other sites. This might imply significant Cr contribution from upstream receiving tannerieswastewater into the Jen-Gen River. The spatialdistribution of Cr reveals relatively high in the river mouth region, especially in Jen-Gen River, and graduallydiminishes toward the harbor entrance region. This indicates that the major sources of Cr pollution from upstream industrial and municipalwastewatersdischarged along the river bank; and Cr maydriftwith sea current and bedispersed into open sea. Moreover, Cr concentrations correlated closely to the physical-chemical properties of the sediments, which suggested the influence of industrial and municipalwastewatersdischarged from the neighboring industrial parks and river basins. Results from the enrichment factor andgeo-accumulation index analyses imply that the Jen-Gen River sediments can be characterized as moderate enrichment and none to medium accumulation of Cr, respectively. However, results of potential ecological risk index indicate that the sediment has low ecological potential risk. The results can provide valuable information todeveloping future strategies for the management of river mouth and harbor.展开更多
