Effects of Tongluo Jiedu prescription on immune function and oxidative stress in patients with oral cancer

BACKGROUND Oral cancer,which is caused by mucous membrane variation,represents a prevalent malignant tumor in the oral and maxillofacial region,posing a significant threat to patients’lives and safety.While surgical intervention stands as a cornerstone treatment for oral cancer patients,it carries the risk of incomplete treatment or high rates of postoperative recurrence.Hence,a multifaceted approach incorporating diverse treatment modalities is essential to enhance patient prognosis.AIM To analyze the application effect of Tongluo Jiedu prescription as adjuvant therapy and its influence on patient prognosis in patients with oral cancer.METHODS Eighty oral cancer patients in our hospital were selected and divided into the observation group and control group by a random number table.The control group was treated with continuous arterial infusion chemotherapy of cisplatin and 5-fluorouracil.The observation group was additionally given Tongluo Jiadu prescription.The inflammatory stress level,peripheral blood T-cell subsets,and immune function of the two groups were subsequently observed.SPSS 21.0 was used for data analysis.RESULTS The observation group demonstrated lower levels of interleukin-6 and C-reactive protein,and a higher level of tumor necrosis factor in comparison to the control group.After treatment,the immune function in the observation group was significantly better than in the control group.CONCLUSION Tongluo Jiedu prescription can improve the immune function and oxidative stress level of patients with oral cancer and accelerate the recovery process. 展开更多

BACKGROUND The precise role of mitochondrial carrier homolog 2(MTCH2)in promoting malignancy in gastric mucosal cells and its involvement in gastric cancer cell metastasis have not been fully elucidated.AIM To determine the role of MTCH2 in gastric cancer.METHODS We collected 65 samples of poorly differentiated gastric cancer tissue and adjacent tissues,constructed MTCH2-overexpressing and MTCH2-knockdown cell models,and evaluated the proliferation,migration,and invasion of human gastric epithelial cells(GES-1)and human gastric cancer cells(AGS)cells.The mito-chondrial membrane potential(MMP),mitochondrial permeability transformation pore(mPTP)and ATP fluorescence probe were used to detect mitochondrial function.Mitochondrial function and ATP synthase protein levels were detected via Western blotting.RESULTS The expression of MTCH2 and ATP2A2 in gastric cancer tissues was significantly greater than that in adjacent tissues.Overexpression of MTCH2 promoted colony formation,invasion,migration,MMP expression and ATP production in GES-1 and AGS cells while upregulating ATP2A2 expression and inhibiting cell apoptosis;knockdown of MTCH2 had the opposite effect,promoting overactivation of the mPTP and promoting apoptosis.CONCLUSION MTCH2 can increase the malignant phenotype of GES-1 cells and promote the proliferation,invasion,and migration of gastric cancer cells by regulating mitochondrial function,providing a basis for targeted therapy for gastric cancer cells. 展开更多

BACKGROUND Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is a global popular malignant tumor,which is difficult to cure,and the current treatment is limited.AIM To analyze the impacts of stress granule(SG)genes on overall survival(OS),survival time,and prognosis in HCC.METHODS The combined The Cancer Genome Atlas-Liver Hepatocellular Carcinoma(TCGA-LIHC),GSE25097,and GSE36376 datasets were utilized to obtain genetic and clinical information.Optimal hub gene numbers and corresponding coefficients were determined using the Least absolute shrinkage and selection operator model approach,and genes for constructing risk scores and corresponding correlation coefficients were calculated according to multivariate Cox regression,respectively.The prognostic model’s receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve was produced and plotted utilizing the time ROC software package.Nomogram models were constructed to predict the outcomes at 1,3,and 5-year OS prognostications with good prediction accuracy.RESULTS We identified seven SG genes(DDX1,DKC1,BICC1,HNRNPUL1,CNOT6,DYRK3,CCDC124)having a prognostic significance and developed a risk score model.The findings of Kaplan-Meier analysis indicated that the group with a high risk exhibited significantly reduced OS in comparison with those of the low-risk group(P<0.001).The nomogram model’s findings indicate a significant enhancement in the accuracy of OS prediction for individuals with HCC in the TCGA-HCC cohort.Gene Ontology and Gene Set Enrichment Analysis suggested that these SGs might be involved in the cell cycle,RNA editing,and other biological processes.CONCLUSION Based on the impact of SG genes on HCC prognosis,in the future,it will be used as a biomarker as well as a unique therapeutic target for the identification and treatment of HCC. 展开更多

BACKGROUND The functions of infiltrating CD8^(+)T cells are often impaired due to tumor cells causing nutrient deprivation in the tumor microenvironment.Thus,the mechanisms of CD8^(+)T cell dysfunction have become a hot research topic,and there is increased interest on how changes in metabolomics correlate with CD8^(+)T cell dysfunction.AIM To investigate whether and how glutamine metabolism affects the function of infiltrating CD8^(+)T cells in hepatocellular carcinoma.METHODS Immunohistochemical staining and immunofluorescence were performed on surgically resected liver tissues from patients.Differentially expressed genes in infiltrating CD8^(+)T cells in hepatocellular carcinoma were detected using RNA sequencing.Activated CD8^(+)T cells were co-cultured with Huh-7 cells for 3 d.The function and mitochondrial status of CD8^(+)T cells were analyzed by flow cytometry,quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction,and transmission electron microscopy.Next,CD8^(+)T cells were treated with the mitochondrial protective and damaging agents.Functional alterations in CD8^(+)T cells were detected by flow cytometry.Then,complete medium without glutamine was used to culture cells and their functional changes and mitochondrial status were detected.RESULTS There were a large number of infiltrating PD-1+CD8^(+)T cells in liver cancer tissues.Next,we cocultured CD8^(+)T cells and Huh-7 cells to explore the regulatory effect of hepatoma cells on CD8^(+)T cells.Flow cytometry results revealed increased PD-1 expression and decreased secretion of perforin(PRF1)and granzyme B(GZMB)by CD8^(+)T cells in the co-culture group.Meanwhile,JC-1 staining was decreased and the levels of reactive oxygen species and apoptosis were increased in CD8^(+)T cells of the co-culture group;additionally,the mitochondria of these cells were swollen.When CD8^(+)T cells were treated with the mitochondrial protective and damaging agents,their function was restored and inhibited,respectively,through the mitochondrial damage and apoptotic pathways.Subsequently,complete medium without glutamine was used to culture cells.As expected,CD8^(+)T cells showed functional downregulation,mitochondrial damage,and apoptosis.CONCLUSION Glutamine deprivation impairs the function of infiltrating CD8^(+)T cells in hepatocellular carcinoma through the mitochondrial damage and apoptotic pathways. 展开更多

Objective:To observe the expressions and clinical significance of plasma ET-1 and IL-8 in patients with AECOPD merged with CHD.Methods: A total of 120 patients with AECOPD who were admitted in our hospital from February, 2015 to December, 2015 were included in the study and divided into observation 1 group (AECOPD merged with CHD) and observation 2 group (pure AECOPD) with 60 cases in each group. Moreover, 30 healthy individuals who came for physical examinations in the same period were served as the control group. ELISA was used to detect the plasma ET-1 and IL-8 levels, and their correlation was analyzed. The arterial blood gas and coagulation fibrinolysis indicators among the three groups were compared.Results: The plasma ET-1 and IL-8 levels in observation 1 and 2 groups were significantly higher than those in the control group. The plasma ET-1 and IL-8 levels in observation 1 group were significantly higher than those in observation 2 group. PaO2 in observation 1 and 2 groups was significantly lower than that in the control group, while PaCO2 was significantly higher than that in the control group. The comparison of PaO2 and PaCO2 between the two groups was not statistically significant. PT and APTT in observation 1 and 2 groups were significantly shortened when compared with the control group, while TT was significantly delayed. PT in observation 1 group was significantly shortened when compared with observation 2 group. Fbg and t-PA contents in observation 1 and 2 groups were significantly higher than those in the control group. Fbg, t-PA, and D-D contents in observation 1 group were significantly higher than those in observation 2 group.Conclusions:The hypercoagulation state is presenting in patients with AECOPD merged with CHD, with increased ET-1 and IL-8, both of which can play a synergistic effect, and are involved in the pathogenesis. 展开更多

Background:To explore diagnostic value and clinical significance of preoperative neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio(NLR)and platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio(PLR)combined with serum carbohydrate antigen(CA),including CA125,CA153 and CA199,in endometrial cancer(EC).Methods:The clinical data of 135 patients who underwent endometrial pathology examination in our hospital from January 2014 to June 2019 were retrospectively analyzed,including 65 cases of EC,40 cases of proliferative endometrial lesions and 50 cases of normal endometrium.Blood routine analyzer and electrochemical luminescence method were used to detect 5 parameters of NLR,PLR,CA125,CA153 and CA199 in these patients.The study explored the relationship between the five indicators and different levels of endometrial lesions,and analyzed their relationship with clinical pathological characteristics of EC patients.The diagnostic efficacy of NLR,PLR,CA,NLR combined CA,PLR combined CA was evaluated by receiver operating curve(ROC)combined with logistic regression equation.Results:The expression of the five parameters was different in different levels of endometrial lesions,and the expression level increased with the increase of endometrial lesion level.The difference among the three groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).CA125 level was related to International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics(FIGO)stage,lymph node metastasis and ki-67 index.CA153 level was related to ki-67 index.CA199 was related to FIGO stage,tissue differentiation and lymph node metastasis.NLR was related to FIGO stage,pathological type,tissue differentiation,myometrial invasion and lymph node metastasis.PLR was correlated with tissue differentiation,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The diagnosis of NLR combined with CA was the largest area under ROC curve(0.940),and its accuracy,sensitivity and specificity were higher than those of individual parameters and NLR combined with CA.Conclusion:NLR,PLR,CA125,CA153 and CA199 were highly expressed in EC and were correlated with clinical pathological data of EC patients respectively.NLR and PLR combined with CA could significantly improve the diagnostic efficiency of EC,providing clinical reference value for EC screening,therapeutic effect evaluation and disease progression evaluation. 展开更多

RT-PCR was used to detect the expressions of IL-1β and COX-2 in the gingiva tissues in each group.Results:The expression intensity of IL-1β and COX-2 in the estrogen therapy group was significantly lower than that in the castraction periodontitis group (P<0.05).Conclusions:Estrogen can significantly down regulate the expressions of IL-1β and COX-2 in order to alleviate the symptoms of periodontitis. 展开更多

To screen patients with early cervical lesions by analyzing the infection of high-risk Human papillomavirus (HR-HPV). Research Methods: The cervical exfoliated cell specimens and their clinical data were collected. The HPV infection types of the collected specimens were detected by fluorescence quantitative PCR, and the correlation between HPV infection and clinicopathological features was analyzed statistically. Results: 725 cases were HR-HPV positive from 2605 cases, including 15 high-risk types of HPV16, 18, 31, 33, 35, 39, 45, 51, 52, 53, 56, 58, 59, 66, 68. Different histological types ranged from NILM to HSIL, and the positive rate of HPV showed an increasing trend with the aggravation of cervical lesions. Conclusion: The positive rate of 15 high-risk HPV types in the collected specimens was 27.8%. Patients with early cervical lesions could be screened for 15 high-risk HPV infection types. 展开更多

BACKGROUND Crossed renal ectopia(CRE)occurs when one kidney crosses the midline from the primary side to the contralateral side while the ureter remains on the primary side.Rectal cancer,one of the most common malignant tumors of the digestive tract,refers to cancer from the dentate line to the rectosigmoid junction.The concurrent presentation of CRE alongside rectal cancer is an uncommon clinical observation.CASE SUMMARY Herein,we report a 69-year-old male patient with rectal cancer who was diagnosed with CRE via computed tomography during hospitalization.Following thorough preoperative evaluations,the patient underwent Dixon surgery.CONCLUSION We performed laparoscopic radical resection of rectal cancer and adequate lymph node removal in a patient with CRE with no postoperative discomfort. 展开更多

BACKGROUND Accurate assessment of the prognosis after colorectal cancer surgery is of great significance in patients with colorectal cancer.However,there is no systematic analysis of factors affecting the prognosis of colorectal cancer currently.AIM To systematically analyze the influence of clinical data and serological and histological indicators on the prognosis of patients with colorectal cancer,and to explore the indicators that can accurately assess the prognosis of patients with colorectal cancer.METHODS A total of 374 patients with colorectal cancer were enrolled.The clinical data,tumor-node-metastasis(TNM)stage,and Dukes stage were recorded.All patients received examinations including carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA),carbohydrate antigen 199,C-reactive protein,albumin,D-dimer,and fibrinogen as well as routine blood tests one week before surgery.The tumor location,size,depth of invasion,lymph node metastasis,and distant metastasis were recorded during surgery.The pathological tissue typing and expression of proliferating cell nuclear antigen(PCNA)and p53 were observed.All patients were followed for 3 years,and patients with endpoint events were defined as a poor prognosis group,and the remaining patients were defined as a good prognosis group.The differences in clinical data,serology,and histology were analyzed between the two groups.Multivariate COX regression was used to analyze the independent influencing factors for the prognosis of colorectal cancer.The receiver operating characteristic curve was used to evaluate the predictive value of each of the independent influencing factors and their combination for the prognosis of colorectal cancer.RESULTS The follow-up outcomes showed that 81 patients were in the good prognosis group and 274 patients in the poor prognosis group.The TNM stage,PCNA,Glasgow prognostic score(GPS),neutrophil-lymphocyte ratio(NLR),C-reactive protein/albumin ratio(CAR),D-dimer,and CEA were independent influencing factors for the prognosis of colorectal cancer(P=0.000).NLR had the highest predictive power for colorectal cancer prognosis[area under the receiver operating characteristic curve(AUC)=0.925],followed by D-dimer(AUC=0.879)and GPS(AUC=0.872).The accuracy of the combination of all indicators in predicting the prognosis of colorectal cancer was the highest(AUC=0.973),which was significantly higher than that of any of the indicators alone(P<0.05).The sensitivity and specificity of the combination were 92.59%and 90.51%,respectively.CONCLUSION The independent influence factors for the prognosis of colorectal cancer include TNM stage,PCNA,GPS,NLR,CAR,D-dimer,and CEA.The combined assessment of the independent factors is the most accurate predictor of the prognosis after colorectal cancer surgery. 展开更多

AIM To investigate the mechanism of chaperone-mediated autophagy(CMA)-induced resistance to irradiationtriggered apoptosis through regulation of the p53 protein in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC). METHODS Firstly, we detected expression of lysosome-associated membrane protein 2a(Lamp-2a), which is the key protein of CMA, by western blot in Hep G2 and SMMC7721 cells after irradiation. We further used sh RNA Lamp-2a HCC cells to verify the radioresistance induced by CMA. Next, we detected the HMGB1 and p53 expression after irradiation by western blot, and we further used RNA interference and ethyl pyruvate(EP), as a HMGB1 inhibitor, to observe changes of p53 expression. Finally, an immunoprecipitation assay was conducted to explore the interaction between Lamp-2a and HMGB1, and the data were analyzed. RESULTS We found the expression of Lamp-2a was increased on irradiation while apoptosis decreased in Hep G2 and SMMC7721 cells. The apoptosis was increased markedly in the sh RNA Lamp-2a Hep G2 and SMMC7721 cells as detected by western blot and colony formation assay. Next, we found p53 expression was gradually reduced on irradiation but obviously increased in sh RNA Lamp-2a cells. Furthermore, p53 increased the cell apoptosis on irradiation in Hep3B(p53-/-) cells. Finally, p53 levels were regulated by HMGB1 as measured through RNA interference and the EP treatment. HMGB1 was able to combine with Lamp-2a as seen by immunoprecipitation assay and was degraded via the CMA pathway. The decreased HMGB1 inhibited p53 expression induced by irradiation and further reduced the apoptosis in HCC cells. CONCLUSION CMA pathway activation appears to down-regulate the susceptibility of HCC to irradiation by degrading HMGB1 with further impact on p53 expression. These findings have clinical relevance for radiotherapy of HCC. 展开更多

Silicosis,a potentially fatal global occupational disease, is characterized by progressive deterioration of pulmonary function and irreversible fibrosis resulting from crystalline silicon dioxide or silica inhalation.Extensive pieces of evidence[1-3]manifest that inhaled silica particles could directly or indirectly cause excess generation of reactive oxygen species(ROS),which plays a key role in the pathogenesis of silicosis.In order to maintain the cellular redox balance,the main function of thioredoxin(Trx)/thioredoxin reductase(TrxR)systems is to scavenge the ROS. TrxR, as a reductase of Trx currently known only,has the function of antioxidation and scavenging free radicals[4].In addition, recent in vitro studies demonstrate that Trx interacts directly with and inhibits the activity of apoptosis-regulating kinase-1(ASK-1)[5].The damaged cell of lung tissue caused by ROS may be an important link to ASK-1 triggered cell apoptosis.Zhu et al.[1] reported that silica could aggravate oxidative stress and promote the development of silicosis in rat lungs after silica exposure by downregulating the expression of TrxR and poor Trx activity. The specific mechanism of imbalance of reduction/oxidation status in silicosis is poorly understood.Our previous studies[6]demonstrated that oxidative stress in rats induced by silica leads to increased peroxiredoxins(Prxs) protein reactivity to resist oxidative stress, and Trx as an electron donor is functionally associated with Prxs. Hence, we propose a hypothesis that silica exposure may lead to the disturbance of the function of the Trx/TrxR system,contributing to further oxidative damage. 展开更多

Objective:To guide the pregnancy and delivery of patients with abnormal uterus through analyzing the delivery outcomes of them.Methods:A total of 32 pregnant cases with abnormal uterus were collected in the North China University of Science and Technology Affiliated Hospital from 2011 to 2018.7615 cases with normal uterus who visited the hospital and delivered during the same period were also collected.The rate of abnormal fetal position,premature rupture of membranes,premature delivery,postpartum complications,and caesarean section,were compared between the two groups by the χ^2 test through SPSS.P values less than 0.05 were considered statistically significant.Results:There were significant differences in abnormal fetal position,premature rupture of membranes,premature delivery and spontaneous birth rate between the two groups(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference in the incidence of postpartum hemorrhage between the two groups(P>0.05).In the cause of cesarean section,there was significant difference in abnormal fetal position and scarred uterus(P<0.05),but no significant difference in placenta previa and other causes(P>0.05).Conclusion:Abnormal fetal position,premature rupture of membranes and premature delivery are more likely to occur in pregnant women with abnormal uterus than in normal ones.The rate of cesarean section in patients with abnormal uterus is significantly higher than that of normal uterus,due to the main reason of abnormal fetal position.Abnormal uterus is a high-risk factor for pregnant women,and patients with abnormal uterus should be strengthened the management of pregnancy and relaxed the indications of cesarean section. 展开更多

The effects of haploidentical rhG-CSF-mobilized blood and marrow transplantation(HBMT) on hematological malignances are well established. Previous prospective single-center studies have demonstrated better survival after HBMT versus haploidentical rhG-CSF-mobilized peripheral blood stem cell transplantation(HPBSCT) for acute leukemia(AL) not in remission(NR) or in more than the second complete remission(>CR2). To test the hypothesis that HBMT is still superior to HPBSCT for patients with AL, multiple myeloma(MM), or non-Hodgkin lymphoma(NHL) in CR1/CR2 and for patients with chronic myeloid leukemia in the first and second chronic phase lacking a matched donor, we designed a propensity score method-based multicenter study.Hematopoietic recovery, acute graft-versus-host disease(aGVHD), and chronic GVHD were comparable between the HBMT group(n=168) and the HPBSCT group(n=42). No significant differences were found in non-relapse mortality rate(20.17%±3.58%and 27.24%±7.16%, P=0.18) or relapse rate(19.96%±3.72% and 28.49%±8.25%, P=0.32) between the HBMT group and the HPBSCT group. HBMT recipients had better overall survival(65.0%±4.2% and 54.2%±8.3%, P=0.037) and disease-free survival(59.9%±4.6% and 44.3%±8.7%, P=0.051). Multivariate analysis showed that HPBSCT was associated with poorer DFS(HR(95%CI), 1.639(0.995–2.699), P=0.052). Our comparisons showed that HBMT was superior to HPBSCT as a post-remission treatment for patients lacking an identical donor. 展开更多

BACKGROUND Breast cancer is a common malignant tumor that seriously threatens women’s health.Breast cancer stem cell(CSC)-like cell population may be the main factor for breast cancer metastasis.Therefore,targeted therapy for CSCs has great potential significance.Hypoxia-inducible factor is a transcription factor widely expressed in tumors.Studies have shown that down-regulation of the hypoxia signaling pathway inhibits tumor stem cell self-renewal and increases the sensitivity of stem cells to radiotherapy and chemotherapy mediated by hypoxiainducible factor-2α(HIF-2α).However,the specific mechanism remains unclear and further research is necessary.AIM To investigate the effect of HIF-2αdown-regulation on stem cell markers,microsphere formation,and apoptosis in breast cancer cell line MDA-MB-231 under hypoxia and its possible mechanism.METHODS Immunohistochemistry was used to detect the expression of HIF-2αand CD44 in triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC)and non-TNBC tissues.Double-labeling immunofluorescence was applied to detect the co-expression of HIF-2αand CD44 in MDA-MB-231 cells and MCF-7 cells.HIF-2αwas silenced by RNA interference,and the expression of CD44 and transfection efficiency were detected by real-time fluorescent quantitative PCR.Further,flow cytometry,TdT-mediated X-dUTP nick end labeling,and mammosphere formation assays were used to evaluate the effect of HIF-2αon CSCs and apoptosis.The possible mechanisms were analyzed by Western blot.RESULTS The results of immunohistochemistry showed that HIF-2αwas highly expressed in both TNBC and non-TNBC,while the expression of CD44 in different molecular types of breast cancer cells was different.In in vitro experiments,it was found that HIF-2αand CD44 were expressed almost in the same cell.Compared with hypoxia+negative-sequence control,HIF-2αsmall interfering ribonucleic acid transfection can lower the expression of HIF-2αand CD44 mRNA(P<0.05),increase the percentage of apoptotic cells(P<0.05),and resulted in a reduction of CD44+/CD24−population(P<0.05)and mammosphere formation(P<0.05)in hypoxic MDA-MB-231 cells.Western blot analysis revealed that phosphorylated protein-serine-threonine kinase(p-AKT)and phosphorylated mammalian target of rapamycin(p-mTOR)levels in MDA-MB-231 decreased significantly after HIF-2αsilencing(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Down-regulation of HIF-2αexpression can inhibit the stemness of human breast cancer MDA-MB-231 cells and promote apoptosis,and its mechanism may be related to the CD44/phosphoinosmde-3-kinase/AKT/mTOR signaling pathway. 展开更多

Objective The aim of this study was to determine Neuropilin 1(NRP1)contribution to transforming growth factorβ1(TGF-β1)-induced epithelial mesenchymal transition(EMT)of HGC-27 gastric cancer cells and study its mechanism.Methods In this study,TGF-β1 was used to induce EMT in HGC-27 cells.Further,these cells were stably transfected with siRNA targeting NRP1.Wound healing and transwell assays were used to measure cell migration and invasion,respectively.NRP1 and EMT markers were measured using quantitative real time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction and western blotting.Results Exposure of TGF-β1 conferred a fibroblastic-like shape to cancer cells and significantly increased the expression of NRP1 in HGC-27 cells.TGF-β1 subsequently promoted migration and invasion of HGC-27 cells.Furthermore,silencing NRP1 inhibited the invasion and migration of TGF-β1-induced cells undergoing EMT.Conclusion Silencing NRP1 can inhibit cell migration,invasion,and metastasis and reverse the TGF-β1-induced EMT process of gastric cancer. 展开更多

Objective:To evaluate the effect of wrist-ankle acupuncture(WAA)in pain and functional recovery after total knee arthroplasty(TKA).Methods:From June to September 2020,94 participants were included from the Second Hospital of Tangshan and randomly assigned to the WAA group(47 cases)and the sham WAA group(47 cases)by a random number table,receiving real or sham WAA treatment,respectively.The primary outcome measure involved the visual analogue scale(VAS)scores at rest and in motion.The secondary outcomes involved the range of motion(ROM)of the knee joints,straight-leg raising time,postoperative weight-bearing time,sufentanil consumption within 48 h of patient-controlled analgesia(PCA)pump,length of hospital stay,and postoperative complications.Results:The VAS scores on the 3rd,5th,and 7th postoperative days at rest and in motion was significantly lower in the WAA group than that of the sham WAA group(P<0.01).The ROM on the 1st,2nd,and 3rd PODs was significantly higher in the WAA group than that of the sham WAA group(P<0.01).In comparison to the sham WAA group,the sufentanil consumption within 48 h of PCA pump was significantly less in the WAA group(156.3±12.2μg vs.128.8±9.8μg,P<0.01).There was no significant difference in active straight-leg raising time,postoperative weight-bearing time,length of hospital stay,and postoperative complications between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:WAA could alleviate post-TKA pain,improve knee joint function,and reduce the sufentanil consumption within 48 h of PCA pump.WAA is a safe and effective treatment in the perioperative analgesic management for TKA. 展开更多

This has facilitated rebuilding of some of its neurological function. In this study,80 such patients were followed up,including 20 patients with traumatic brain injury,32 patients with stroke,and 28 pediatric patients with cerebral palsy. After postoperative follow-up of 3 to 21 years,the efficacy rate of this operation was 100% and the excellent and good spasm relief rate was 82.5%. 展开更多

Objective:To clarify the clinical characteristics and pathogenic analysis after lower respiratory tract infection in patients with advanced lung cancer under different treatments.Methods:A retrospective analysis was adopted to collect 94 cases of patients with advanced lung cancer combined with lower respiratory tract infection from January 1,2018 to December 1,2020.Seventy-four cases were male and 20 cases were female.According to the different treatments,the patients were divided into 43 cases in the chemotherapy group and 51 cases in the chemoradiotherapy group.The pathogenic and serological indexes were compared between the two groups to provide ideas for the application of antibiotics.Results:In the comparison of general clinical data,the chemotherapy group had a shorter hospital stay than the chemoradiotherapy group and a higher body mass index level than the chemoradiotherapy group(p<0.05).In the comparison of serological indicators,procalcitonin,high-sensitive Creactive protein,erythrocyte sedimentation rate,and neutrophil percentage were lower in the chemotherapy group,and the lymphocyte was higher than that in the chemoradiotherapy group(p<0.05).There was no difference in hemoglobin,albumin,creatinine,and alanine transaminase between the two groups(p>0.05).In the comparison of pathogenicity,the chemotherapy group was more likely to have combined viral infections,while the chemoradiotherapy group was more likely to have Gram-negative bacterial infections(p<0.05).There was no difference between the two groups in terms of fungal infections(p>0.05).Besides,the chemoradiotherapy group was more likely to have combined infections(p>0.05).Conclusion:Patients with advanced lung cancer treated with chemoradiotherapy have a relatively poor prognosis after developing lower respiratory tract infections and are more likely to have mixed infections.Antibiotics need to be applied as early as possible.The common pathogens should be covered.Antiviral and antifungal drugs can be added as appropriate,and drug sensitivity tests should be completed as early as possible. 展开更多
