Genetic diversity plays a very important role in establishing core collection.In this study,A total of 405 Chinese soybean accessions was selected from the preliminary core collection,which had 5 different ecotypes from three cultivation regions,including northeastern spring sowing soybean(NSpSS),huanghuai summer sowing soybean(HSuSS),southern spring sowing soybean(SSpSS),southern summer sowing soybean(SSuSS),southern autumn sowing soybean(SAuSS).The genetic diversities and genetic relationship of five ecotypes were analyzed at DNA level by using SSR markers in order to provide information for establishemnt of Chinese soybean core collection.A set of 67 SSR primers were used to analyze these accessions,and detected 502 alleles with averaged 7.49 alleles per locus.SAuSS appeared to be the highest number of alleles,HSuSS had the biggest genetic diversity indexes and NSpSS were lowest for both numbers of alleles and genetic diversity indexes among 5 ecotypes.Since five ecotypes differentiated obviously,various sampling strategy for establishing core collection should be adaped for different ecotypes based on the number of alleles and genetic diversity indexes. 展开更多

New Rice Mutants(NR676 and NR827) Low in Nitrate Reduction

Mutants deficient in nitrate reductase(NR) were classfied into two groups,nia types are deficient in apoprotein and cnx types are lack of Mo-Co.This paper reports the characteristics of low NR mutants,which are not deficient in NR activity but 40%~60% of the NR activity of the wild type,Nipponbare.Mutants NR676 and NR827 were selected as seedings showing poor growth with nitrate as sole mitrogen source from M 2 population.They exhibited chlorate resistance.Genetic analysis in the F 1 and F 2 indicated that chlorate resistance in the mutants was transmitted by a single recessive nuclear gene and that NR676 and NR827 were induced by a mutation at a single locus.In the F2 population,all of the seedings showing yellow green leaves were resistant to chlorate and low in NR activity.Photosynthetic rate and mRNA expression of NR676 and NR827 were lower than wild type.These results suggested that low NR activity and chlorate resistance of NR676 and NR827 were caused by a defect in photosynthetic process. 展开更多

The endogenous polyamine levels were tested at every developmental stage in different ecotypes of the Chinese cabbage. The results showed that polyamincs (PAs) were decreased in the process of flower bud initiation and fornfation, but the floral stem formation and elongation were accompied by PAs increase. The level of Spm was related to the bolting date of Chinese cabbage. During the inducing of flower bud initiation and elongation of floral stem, and the changes of Spm were reversed between early bolting date and late bolting cultivars, but they have the same requirment for Spd for the starting of flower bud initiation and the starting of bolting. The level of Spd changed little during entire developmental stage for early bolting cultivars, but a lot for late bolting cultivars. The time that the highest level of Put appeared is related to the bolting date of Chinese cabbage. 展开更多

Twelve purebred Har Bai rabbits with a body weight of 3-4 kg were seleeted and divided in-to four groups at random.they were treated with FSH and hCG atfter the second estrus,The four groups of rabbits were killed at the beginning of estrus ,the beginning of ovulation,15h and 39 h after the beginning of ovulation respectively ,The follicles of 0.5-2 mm in diameter were dissected from the ovaries were fixed ,sectioned ,mounted and stained for examination under light and elec-tron microscopes,The results showed that blood micro-circulation of follicles at the onset of esturs was normal and cells of the theca interna and granular cells were active in metabolism in most of the follicles ,examined at the beginning of ovulation,the blood micro-circulation became disordered,the cells became not active in matbolism and follicular stigmaes appeared at the upper wall of the follicles .At 15 h after the beginning of ovulation ,the unovulated follicles whic were developing into follicular corpus luteam had normal blood micro-circulation,At 39 h after the beginning of ovulation most of the follicles began to degenerate,In was coneluded that there was a close relationship between blood micro-circulation of follicele and the ovulation. 展开更多
