Radial distribution of vapor local parameters, including local void fraction, interfacial velocity, bubblesize, bubble frequency and interfacial area concentration, are investigated through the measurement in an upwardboiling tube using dual-sensor optical probe. In addition, a new local parameter -"local bubble number concentra-tion" is developed on the basis of bubble frequency. The results show that: (1) theabrasion resistance can be improved by sub-critical heat treatment, which could be attributed to thedecrease of the retained austenite content; (2) both the abrasion resistance and hardness can beimproved by controlling the retained austenite content below 20 percent-30 percent and arrive at themaximum when the retained austenite content is reduced to about 10 percent; (3) the abrasionresistance decreases abruptly once the retained austenite content is lower than 10 percent, whichstems from both the in situ transformation of (Fe, Cr)_(23)C_6 to M_3C carbides and the formation ofpearlitic matrix. 展开更多

Artificial neural networks (ANNs) are applied successfully to analyze the critical heat flux (CHF) experimental data from some round tubes in this paper. A set of software adopting artificial neural network method for predicting CHF in round tube and a set of CHF database are gotten. Comparing with common CHF correlations and CHF look-up table, ANN method has stronger ability of allow-wrong and nice robustness. The CHF predicting software adopting artificial neural network technology can improve the predicting accuracy in a wider parameter range,and is easier to update and to use. The artificial neural nefwork method used in this paper can be applied to some similar physical problems. 展开更多

The effect of heat treatment on martensitic transformation behavior has been investigated in Ti44Ni47Nb9 alloy. The relation between transformation temperatures and critical stress of stress induced martensitic transformation is interpreted in terms of thermodynamic theory. It is shown that the decrease in transformation temperature in specimens of slow cooling rate or low temperature aging after solution heat treatment results from the changes of Ni/Ti ratio in the matrix. The increase of critical stress of stress induced martensitic transformation is a consequence of the decrease of transformation temperatures. 展开更多

Lubricated abrasive wear was found to be the cause of distributor failure. On the basis of selecting reasonably materials and surface strenthening methods of distributors, pump’s function tests under the condition of contamination were performed with actual distributors. The results showed that wear resistance and contaminant wear lifetime of TiN coated high-speed steel W18Cr4V distributor is the best and TiN coating technology can be used in manufacturing of pump’s distributor. 展开更多
