Effects of hydrophobe content, polymer concentration, salinity and surfactant on rheologic...Acrylamide/2-acrylamido alkane sulfonic acid hydrophobic associating copolymers were synthesized by micellar copolymerization. Effects of hydrophobe content, polymer concentration, salinity and surfactant on rheological behavior of copolymers were investigated and the conformation of polymers in solution was studied by means of environmental scanning electronic microscopy and dynamic light scattering. The experimental results showed that in the dilute regime the hydrophobic parts could interact intramolecularly, while in the regime where the polymer concentration was higher than the critical association concentration, intermolecular hydrophobic association became predominant. Within the limit of the solubility, the critical association concentration of the polymer decreased with the increase of the salinity. The experimental results of the solution conformation indicated the presence of the three-dimensional network structure in deionized water and the size of the mesh in the network varied with the polymer concentration. In NaCl solution, above the critical association concentration, an increase in polymer concentration enhanced the intermolecular association and also enlarged the hydrodynamic radius. It would result in the improvement of the thickening power of polymers.展开更多

Experimental results indicated that the electric conductivity depends on the frequency of alternative current. Impedance arcs representing the conduction mechanism of grain interiors are displayed in the complex impedance plane, and the mechanism is dominated at high pressure. These arcs occur over the range of 10\+2-k×10\+5 Hz (k is the positive integer from 1 to 9). On the basis of our results and previous work, it is concluded that gabbro cannot form any high conductivity layer (HCL) in the middle\|lower crust.展开更多

There are some knowledge and thinking tasks that humans cannot perform as perfectly as they wish to or should be able to. These tasks are closely related to security and responsibility. A multitude of cognitive distortions have been well explored1 and present opportunities to use AI for powerful assistance in thinking tasks. The core of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 is the adoption of AI methods. This revolution has affected all aspects of human activities and medicine is one example. AI systems can usually include formal algorithms for subtasks that can be solved using logic, for example, a decision tree. The task solution process moves from logic point to logic point similar to a train on a railway. These algorithms are fast and have the ability to explain.展开更多
