There were investigated levels of pro-inflammatory and regulatory cytokines (IL-1b, IL-6 and IFN-g) in women of reproductive age in periods of exacerbation and remission of chronic infection caused by the herpes simplex virus in purpose to study the pathogenetic features of the course of HSV infection. It is shown that both the period of exacerbation, and the period of clinical remission of chronic herpes infection are characterized by increased production of IFN-g, IL-1b and IL-6. However, only the mean values of IL-1b were significantly different in periods of exacerbation and remission. Moreover, patients with chronic herpes infection revealed significant heterogeneity of individual values of measured cytokines (IL-1b, IL-6 and IFN-g), which does not depend on the period of clinical disease. 展开更多

In current article, results of the determination of the concentrations of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), and some interleukins (IL-4, IL-6, IL-10, IL-17А) in the vitreous of patients with proliferative diabetic retinopathy are presented. We have found that in the mechanism of development of diabetic retinopathy, significant role plays an activation of local inflammation process and vascular proliferation. This is evidenced by a significant increase in the vitreous concentration of IL-4, IL-6, IL-10, IL-17A and vascular endothelial growth factor. Identified correlations between VEGF and IL-17A, between VEGF and IL-4, and between IL-17A and IL-4 show the relationship of inflammation and proliferation processes in the pathogenesis of diabetic retinopathy. 展开更多

In the purpose of studing the pathogenetic features of the pathological process there were investigated cytokine levels with proinflammatory and anti-inflammatory activity, and also the indicators of endothelial dysfunction in blood serum women with moderate and severe preeclampsia. There were found high concentrations of pro-inflammatory cytokines IL-1β, IL-6 and IL-8, and vascular endothelial adhesion molecule-1 (sVCAM-1), which correlated with the severity of the process. Also a significant decrease in concentrations TGF-β2 and IL-10 insevere preeclampsia was indicated, which may testify the exhaustion of adaptive mechanisms and, apparently, can be an additional diagnostic criterion for the prediction and assessment of the severity of the pathological process. 展开更多
