Based on the domain reduction method,this study employs an SEM-FEM hybrid workflow which integrates the advantages of the spectral element method(SEM)for flexible and highly efficient simulation of seismic wave propag...Based on the domain reduction method,this study employs an SEM-FEM hybrid workflow which integrates the advantages of the spectral element method(SEM)for flexible and highly efficient simulation of seismic wave propagation in a three-dimensional(3D)regional-scale geophysics model and the finite element method(FEM)for fine simulation of structural response including soil-structure interaction,and performs a physics-based simulation from initial fault rupture on an ancient wood structure.After verification of the hybrid workflow,a large-scale model of an ancient wood structure in the Beijing area,The Tower of Buddhist Incense,is established and its responses under the 1665 Tongxian earthquake and the 1730 Yiheyuan earthquake are simulated.The results from the simulated ground motion and seismic response of the wood structure under the two earthquakes demonstrate that this hybrid workflow can be employed to efficiently provide insight into the relationships between geophysical parameters and the structural response,and is of great significance toward accurate input for seismic simulation of structures under specific site and fault conditions.展开更多

In this paper, a fire risk assessment index system is established from the perspective of regional characteristics, possible sources and factors which influence the occurrence of fire. Analytic hierarchy process(AHP)is used to obtain the weights of different indexes so as to reflect their effects on the final fire risk assessment. Then, the fire risk of CBD in Binhai New Area of Tianjin is assessed with the help of the proposed model and Arc GIS technique. Finally, the fire station layout is optimized based on the discrete location model, realizing the reasonable allocation of firefighting resources. According to the analysis, super high-rise buildings and underground spaces are main factors that cause high fire risk; furthermore, five firstlevel fire stations can satisfy the requirement of rescue response time.展开更多

This paper introduces the extended theory of planned behavior to explore the intentions of residents to participate in heritage preservation, and further explains the influencing factors. Seven historic districts in Tianjin are selected as case studies. The results show that the residents' intentions to preserve heritage are positively influenced by three subjective perception factors of heritage preservation attitude, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control, as well as two objective situational factors of environmental quality of historic district and policy guidance for heritage preservation. Furthermore, the objective situational factors indirectly influence heritage preservation intentions through the subjective perception factors. Based on these findings, this paper puts forward corresponding suggestions to enhance the heritage preservation intentions of community residents.展开更多

Using...At present, the planning of 15-minute community-life circle is being actively promoted in China. Taking Baoding City as an example, the status quo of service facilities layout was analyzed based on the POI data. Using the spatial accessibility algorithm, the ranges of 15-minute life circle of more than 1000 communities in Baoding were determined. By calculating the up-to-standard rates of public service facilities in each district, it is found that the allocation of medical facilities and commercial facilities in urban community life circle is relatively perfect, but the allocation of public cultural facilities and pension facilities is obviously inadequate. Based on this, optimization suggestions on the layout of public service facilities in the 15-minute life circle were put forward from three aspects: facilities sharing, function mixing and population structure and activity characteristics differentiation. It not only provides data and technical support for the planning and construction of community life circle in Baoding city, but also provides referable examples and promotable models for the community planning of third-tier cities.展开更多
We conducted a transient experimental investigation of steam–water direct contact condensation in the absence of noncondensible gas in a laboratory-scale column with the inner diameter of 325 mm and the height of 104...We conducted a transient experimental investigation of steam–water direct contact condensation in the absence of noncondensible gas in a laboratory-scale column with the inner diameter of 325 mm and the height of 1045 mm. We applied a new analysis method for the steam state equation to analyze the molar quantity change in steam over the course of the experiment and determined the transient steam variation. We also investigated the influence of flow rates and temperatures ofcooling water on the efficiency ofsteam condensation. Our experimental results show that appropriate increasing of the cooling water flow rate can significantly accelerate the steam condensation. We achieved a rapid increase in the total volumetric heat transfer coefficient by increasing the flow rate of cooling water, which indicated a higher thermal convection between the steam and the cooling water with higher flow rates. We found that the temperature ofcooling water did not play an important role on steam condensation. This method was confirmed to be effective for rapid recovering ofsteam.展开更多

Two new binary near-azeotropic mixtures named M1 and M2 were developed as the refrigerants of the high-temperature heat pump(HTHP).The experimental research was used to analyze and compare the performance of M1 and M2...Two new binary near-azeotropic mixtures named M1 and M2 were developed as the refrigerants of the high-temperature heat pump(HTHP).The experimental research was used to analyze and compare the performance of M1 and M2-based in the HTHP in different running conditions.The results demonstrated the feasibility and reliability of M1 and M2 as new high-temperature refrigerants.Additionally,the exploration and analyses of the support vector machine(SVM)and back propagation(BP)neural network models were made to find a practical way to predict the performance of HTHP system.The results showed that SVM-Linear,SVM-RBF and BP models shared the similar ability to predict the heat capacity and power input with high accuracy.SVM-RBF demonstrated better stability for coefficient of performance prediction.Finally,the proposed SVM model was used to assess the potential of the M1 and M2.The results indicated that the HTHP system using M1 could produce heat at the temperature of 130°C with good performance.展开更多

In this paper, a physical and mathematical model is built according to the design of Shenyang subway (line 1), the boundary conditions of the model are defined by the design and experiments, the numerical analysis of ventilating scheme and air conditioning scheme is introduced individually, and the temperature field and air flow field of the two schemes are compared, so that the feasibility of using a ventilating scheme in subway of northeast cities is discussed. The collector temperature, the seawat...It is promising to simultaneously develop multiple products through the combined utilization of seawater by solar chimney technology. A small scale experimental system was set up. The collector temperature, the seawater temperature, and the temperature and humidity of the airflow under the collector were measured. Thermal network analysis of the system was carried out. The results show that the airflow is nearly saturated at the entrance of the chimney, and the mean dry-bulb and wet-bulb temperatures of the airflow have increased by 8.4 ℃ and 9.6 ℃, respectively. The radiation heat transfer between the collector and the sky is the biggest heat loss in the system, which is up to 29.1% on average of the solar energy. However, the water evaporation heat is about 23.6% on average of the solar energy. To reduce the heat loss and enhance the water evaporation, it is necessary to reduce the emissivity and thermal conductivity of the collector and increase the evaporation areas.展开更多
A novel hedonic model based on spatial accessibility is proposed.This model changes the traditional planar hedonic model from two dimensional to three dimensional(3 D).A 3 D model through space syntax and quantum geog...A novel hedonic model based on spatial accessibility is proposed.This model changes the traditional planar hedonic model from two dimensional to three dimensional(3 D).A 3 D model through space syntax and quantum geographic information system platform was developed.Then,this model was tested through an analysis of 174 residential areas in Tianjin’s central district.Accordingly,the impact of 3 D location characteristics on the property value was examined.The results suggest a positive correlation between spatial accessibility and property value on a city-wide scale.Mass transit may exert negative influences,such as traffic noise and air pollution.On submarket scales,the property value may be influenced by urban functions,historical background,and street layout.The negative correlation between the bedroom number and price reflects a higher real estate market investment value in the Heping District and the high demand for small and medium-sized houses in the Hongqiao and Hedong Districts.This study provides insights for improving neighborhood plans and housing design,and policy making concerned with promoting balanced progress of social,economic,and spatial priorities.展开更多

The Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation(APEC)comprises of the world’s largest producers and consumers of energy,accounting for 60.3%of primary energy supply,50.0%of final energy consumption,and 63.0%of electricity gene...The Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation(APEC)comprises of the world’s largest producers and consumers of energy,accounting for 60.3%of primary energy supply,50.0%of final energy consumption,and 63.0%of electricity generation worldwide in 2016.This study discusses the primary energy supply and final energy consumption situation of the APEC and analyzes the characteristics of electricity in terms of its generation structure based on fuel,consumption by the end-use sector,access to electricity,and so on.The renewable energy and electricity generation projections up to 2030 based on trends in the APEC are also assessed.It is seen that electricity in final energy consumption has been on an upward trend,with an average annual growth rate of about 4.8%during 2006–2016,in 2016,its share reached 24.3%.The industry sector consumes the largest share of electricity,accounting for about 45.5%in 2016.Coal supply and consumption peaked in 2011 and then began to decline,while renewable energy has been on an upward trend,with its primary energy supply share increasing from 4.80%in 2010 to 6.29%in 2016.Solar photovoltaic and onshore wind power are on the verge of costing less than the operating cost of existing coal-fired plants in 2018.In the APEC’s target scenario in which renewable energy is doubled,the predicted net growth from 2017 to 2030 of solar,wind,and hydro power is about 963,497,and 157 GW,respectively,and to reach this target,the APEC economies need to accelerate renewable energy development.展开更多

The results show that the airflow is nearly saturated at the entrance of the chimney, and the mean dry-bulb and wet-bulb temperatures of the airflow have increased by 8.4 ℃ and 9.6 ℃, respectively. The radiation heat transfer between the collector and the sky is the biggest heat loss in the system, which is up to 29.1% on average of the solar energy. However, the water evaporation heat is about 23.6% on average of the solar energy. To reduce the heat loss and enhance the water evaporation, it is necessary to reduce the emissivity and thermal conductivity of the collector and increase the evaporation areas.

文摘A novel hedonic model based on spatial accessibility is proposed.This model changes the traditional planar hedonic model from two dimensional to three dimensional(3 D).A 3 D model through space syntax and quantum geographic information system platform was developed.Then,this model was tested through an analysis of 174 residential areas in Tianjin’s central district.Accordingly,the impact of 3 D location characteristics on the property value was examined.The results suggest a positive correlation between spatial accessibility and property value on a city-wide scale.Mass transit may exert negative influences,such as traffic noise and air pollution.On submarket scales,the property value may be influenced by urban functions,historical background,and street layout.The negative correlation between the bedroom number and price reflects a higher real estate market investment value in the Heping District and the high demand for small and medium-sized houses in the Hongqiao and Hedong Districts.This study provides insights for improving neighborhood plans and housing design,and policy making concerned with promoting balanced progress of social,economic,and spatial priorities.

文摘After entering the 21 st century,under the influence of urbanization and industrial transformation,China's industrial heritage protection is faced with enormous challenges.In the next 10 years,China's urban planning will enter a turning period from increment planning to inventory planning.Among objects of effective land use,industrial use will stand in the breach,which pushes the industrial heritage to the crossroad of protection or non-protection.Therefore,it is essential to study how to effectively use industrial land under the premise of protecting industrial heritage value.In view of these issues,this paper presents some thoughts about how to protect cultural value of industrial heritage in the period of inventory planning.

文摘Based on the theory of system dynamics, the paper analyzes the mechanism of socio-economic benefits of highway projects and establishes the system dynamics model of regional economic-highway development. Then taking Jinji(Tianjin--Jixian) Highway of Tianjin as an example, the errors of system simulation are tested, and the system dynamics model built is verified to be quite stable, which has a high performance. Through the comparison of simulation results with and without Jinji Highway, the paper simulates and predicts the socio-economie benefit of each year from 2003 to 2013. Thus the quantification evaluation of socio-economic benefit of highway project is realized and will provide the theory instructions for similar projects in the future.

文摘Due to unique geographical position and climatic characteristics,there are more economic,social,resource,environmental and other problems in urban construction of arid region. Old urban block of Kashgar and typical block of Masdar ecological city of Abu Dhabi are taken as the research objects. Based on summarizing the characteristics of traditional block and newly built ecological block in arid region,comparative analysis on their space forms and environmental designs is conducted,and the association mechanism between ecological adaptability and space form is generalized. From the aspects of block layout,block space,open space and architectural form,ecological design strategy of the block in arid region is proposed,which could provide the reference for development and construction of ecological city in arid region of China.

文摘The Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation(APEC)comprises of the world’s largest producers and consumers of energy,accounting for 60.3%of primary energy supply,50.0%of final energy consumption,and 63.0%of electricity generation worldwide in 2016.This study discusses the primary energy supply and final energy consumption situation of the APEC and analyzes the characteristics of electricity in terms of its generation structure based on fuel,consumption by the end-use sector,access to electricity,and so on.The renewable energy and electricity generation projections up to 2030 based on trends in the APEC are also assessed.It is seen that electricity in final energy consumption has been on an upward trend,with an average annual growth rate of about 4.8%during 2006–2016,in 2016,its share reached 24.3%.The industry sector consumes the largest share of electricity,accounting for about 45.5%in 2016.Coal supply and consumption peaked in 2011 and then began to decline,while renewable energy has been on an upward trend,with its primary energy supply share increasing from 4.80%in 2010 to 6.29%in 2016.Solar photovoltaic and onshore wind power are on the verge of costing less than the operating cost of existing coal-fired plants in 2018.In the APEC’s target scenario in which renewable energy is doubled,the predicted net growth from 2017 to 2030 of solar,wind,and hydro power is about 963,497,and 157 GW,respectively,and to reach this target,the APEC economies need to accelerate renewable energy development.
