The study of the hoisting and launching process is of great significance to ensure construction safety in actual projects. In this paper, a new launching technology is proposed that is based on the foundation of the three-bucket jacket for offshore wind turbine. A complete time domain simulation of the launching process of three-bucket jacket foundation is carried out by a theoretical analysis combined with hydrodynamic software Moses. At the same time, the effects of different initial air storage and sea conditions on the motion response of the structure and the hoisting cable tension are studied. The results show that the motion response of the structure is the highest when it is lowered to 1.5 times the bucket height. The natural period of each degree of freedom of the structure increases with the increase of the lowering depth. The structural motion response and the hoisting cable tension vary greatly in the early phases of Stages Ⅰ and Ⅲ, smaller in Stage Ⅱ, and gradually stabilize in the middle and late phases of Stage Ⅲ.展开更多

Finally, the fire station layout is optimized based on the discrete location model, realizing the reasonable allocation of firefighting resources. According to the analysis, super high-rise buildings and underground spaces are main factors that cause high fire risk; furthermore, five firstlevel fire stations can satisfy the requirement of rescue response time.展开更多

文摘The three-bucket jacket foundation is a new type of foundation for offshore wind turbine that has the advantages of fast construction speed and suitability for deep water. The structural motion response and the hoisting cable tension vary greatly in the early phases of Stages Ⅰ and Ⅲ, smaller in Stage Ⅱ, and gradually stabilize in the middle and late phases of Stage Ⅲ.

文摘Since its introduction, discontinuous deformation analysis(DDA)has been widely used in different areas of rock mechanics.By dividing large blocks into subblocks and introducing artificial joints,DDA can be applied to rock fracture simulation. However, parameter calibration,a fundamental issue in discontinuum methods, has not received enough attention in DDA.In this study, the parameter calibration of DDA for intact rock is carefully studied. To this end,a subblock DDA with Voronoi tessellation is presented first. Then,a modified contact constitutive law is introduced,in which the tensile and shear meso-strengths are modified to be independent of the bond lengths. This improvement can prevent the unjustified preferential failure of short edges.A method for imposing confining pressure is also introduced.Thereafter, sensitivity analysis is performed to investigate the influence of the calculated parameters and meso-parameters on the mechanical properties of modeled rock.Based on the sensitivity analysis,a unified calibration procedure is suggested for both cases with and without confining pressure. Finally, the calibration procedure is applied to two examples, including a biaxial compression test. The results show that the proposed Voronoi-based DDA can simulate rock fracture with and without confining pressure very well after careful parameter calibration.

文摘In this paper, the Chapman-Richards model is adapted to best fit three types of nonlinear curves that are generally encountered in geotechnical engineering practices,i.e.the degree of consolidation versus time factor curves in one-dimensional consolidation and plane strain consolidation under strip loading, the compressibility and permeability curves of soft clay, and the geometry parameters of geosynthetic tube versus pumping pressure curves. The methods of determining unknown parameters using the Chapman-Richards model are fully demonstrated. It is found that the Chapman-Richards model has its range of applications in geotechnical engineering and may provide unique insights into the complexity of geotechnical problems.

文摘Central business district(CBD)construction is in rapid development phase at present, therefore, the firefighting work in CBD becomes an important issue for safety. In this paper, a fire risk assessment index system is established from the perspective of regional characteristics, possible sources and factors which influence the occurrence of fire. Analytic hierarchy process(AHP)is used to obtain the weights of different indexes so as to reflect their effects on the final fire risk assessment. Then, the fire risk of CBD in Binhai New Area of Tianjin is assessed with the help of the proposed model and Arc GIS technique. Finally, the fire station layout is optimized based on the discrete location model, realizing the reasonable allocation of firefighting resources. According to the analysis, super high-rise buildings and underground spaces are main factors that cause high fire risk; furthermore, five firstlevel fire stations can satisfy the requirement of rescue response time.

文摘Suction foundations are generally installed with negative pressures to overcome the resistance of soils and complete the penetration, but excessive negative pressures are also avoided to cause seepage damages. In this paper, the model test method was used to analyze the movement characteristics of multi-bucket foundations in the process of sinking in sand, and the common calculation methods of sinking resistances are verified. The critical negative pressure corresponding to the seepage failure of foundation was determined under the action of increasing negative pressure step by step and the characteristics of soil failure were studied. The calculation formula of critical suction in sand was verified in application, and according to the test results, the value of seepage coefficient was modified, which provides an example for the study of suction foundation in sand soils.

文摘Dynamic tensile failure is a common phenomenon in deep rock practices, and thus accurately evaluating the dynamic tensile responses of rocks under triaxial pressures is of great significance. The Brazilian disc(BD)test is the suggested method by the International Society for Rock Mechanics and Rock Engineering(ISRM)for measuring both the static and dynamic tensile strengths of rock-like materials. However, due to the overload phenomenon and the complex preloading conditions, the dynamic tensile strengths of rocks measured by the BD tests tend to be overestimated. To address this issue, the dynamic BD tensile strength(BTS)of Fangshan marble(FM)under different preloading conditions were measured through a triaxial split Hopkinson pressure bar(SHPB).The fracture onset in BD specimen was captured through a strain gage around the disc center. The discrepancy between the traditional tensile strength(TTS,determined by the peak load P_(f) of the BD specimen)and the nominal tensile strength(NTS,obtained from the load P_(i) when the diametral fracture commences in the tested BD specimen)was applied to quantitatively evaluating the overload phenomenon. The Griffith criterion was used to rectify the calculation of the tensile stress at the disc center under triaxial stress states. The results demonstrate that the overload ratio(s)increases with the loading rate(σ)and decreases with the hydrostatic pressure(σ_(s)).The TTS corrected by the Griffith criterion is independent of theσ_(s)due to the overload phenomenon, while the NTS corrected by the Griffith criterion is sensitive to both the andσ.Therefore,it is essential to modify the tensile stress in dynamic confined BD tests using both the overload correction and the Griffith criterion rectification to obtain the accurate dynamic BTS of rocks.

文摘Engineering disasters(e.g.rock slabbing and rockburst)of the tunnel groups induced by the transient excavation of an adjacent tunnel threaten the stability of the existing tunnel, especially for those excavated by using the drill and blast tunneling(D&B).However, the dynamic response and failure mechanism of surrounding rocks of the existing tunnel caused by adjacent transient excavation are not clear due to the difficulty in conducting field tests and laboratory experiments. Therefore,a novel transient unloading experimental system for deep tunnel excavation was proposed in this study. The real stress path and the unloading rate can be reproduced by using this proposed system. The experiments were conducted for observing the dynamic response of the existing tunnel induced by adjacent transient excavation under different lateral pressure coefficients l(?0.4,0.6,0.8,1,1.2,1.4,1.6,1.8)with a polymethyl methacrylate(PMMA)specimen. The propagation of the impact wave and unloading surface wave was detected through the digital image correlation(DIC)analysis. The reflection of the unloading surface wave on the incident side of the existing tunnel(tunnel-E)was observed and analyzed. Moreover, the dynamic characteristics of the stress redistribution, the particle displacement and vibration velocity of surrounding rocks of tunnel-E were analyzed and summarized. In addition, the Mohr-Coulomb(MeC)failure criterion with tension cut-off was adopted to evaluate the stability of the existing tunnel under adjacent transient excavation. The results indicate that the incident side of the existing tunnel under the dynamic disturbance of transient excavation of an adjacent tunnel was more prone to fail, followed by the shadow side and the top/bottom side.
文摘As a green environmentally-friendly material, rubberised concrete(Ru C),which has the characteristics of low elastic modulus, large deformation capacity, high damping, good energy dissipation and good crack resistance, has attracted extensive attention and research in the civil engineering discipline. However, most of existing studies are based on experimental tests on Ru C material properties, and there has been no numerical study based on meso-scale modelling of Ru C yet.To more comprehensively investigate the Ru C dynamic material properties without conducting intensive experimental tests, this study developed a high-fidelity meso-scale model considering coarse and fine aggregates and rubber crumbs to numerically investigate the mechanical properties of rubberised concrete under different strain rates. The meso-scale model was verified against both quasi-static compressive testing data and Split Hopkinson Pressure Bar(SHPB)dynamic testing data.Using the verified numerical model, the dynamic properties of rubberised concrete with various rubber content(0%-30%)under different strain rates were studied. The numerical results show that the developed meso-scale model can use to predict the static and dynamic properties of rubberised concrete with high accuracy. The dynamic compressive strength of the rubberised concrete increases with the increment of the strain rate, and the strain rate sensitivity increases with the rubber content ranging from 0 to 30%.Based on intensive numerical simulation data, empirical DIFs is used as a function of strain rate and rubber content to predict the dynamic strength of rubberised concrete.

文摘Crack initiation stress and crack damage stress are two critical indices for assessing the fracture strength of rock mass. However, understanding the stress characteristics of crack initiation and damage under triaxial compression remains still immature. To address this problem,by acoustic monitoring,i.e.ultrasonic wave transmission and acoustic emission(AE),the integrated triaxial compression experiments were carried out on granitic specimens. The crack initiation and damage stresses were determined by wave velocity, wave amplitude and AE methods, respectively. The discrepancy of stresses for crack initiation and damage identified by these methods were examined. Results showed that the confinement affected the peak stress and corresponding strain, and these two parameters increased with increasing confining pressure. The ultrasonic wave velocity and wave amplitude first increased and then remained relatively stable, and finally decreased with increasing axial compressive stress. The number of AE events stayed at a relatively low extent until axial stress approached the peak;after that, the AE accumulative counts skyrocketed to the maximum. It also shows that for a given confinement, the stresses for crack initiation and damage identified by the wave amplitude method were the smallest, followed those by AE method and wave velocity method. Moreover, the stresses for crack initiation and crack damage identified by these methods increased generally with confining pressures. However, the rate of increment of these two crack stresses decreased with increasing confining pressure. In addition, the slight decrease in these two crack stresses ratios was noticed with increasing confining pressure. The findings are helpful to understand the crack stresses of deep rocks,in terms of support of deep underground engineering.

文摘Gas breakthrough pressure is a key parameter to evaluate the sealing capacity of caprock, and it also plays important roles in safety and capacity of CO_(2)geological storage.Based on the published experimental results,we present numerical simulations on CO_(2)breakthrough pressure in unsaturated low-permeability rock under 9 multiple P-T conditions(which can keep CO_(2)in gaseous, liquid and supercritical states)and thus,a numerical method which can be used to accurately predict CO_(2)breakthrough pressure on rock-core scale is proposed. The simulation results show that CO_(2)breakthrough pressure and breakthrough time are exponential correlated with P-T conditions.Meanwhile, pressure has stronger effects on experimental results than that of temperature. Moreover,we performed sensitivity studies on the pore distribution indexλ(0.6,0.7,0.8,and 0.9)in van Genuchten-Muale model. Results show that with the increase ofλ,CO_(2)breakthrough pressure and breakthrough time both show decreasing trends. In other words, the larger the value ofλis,the better the permeability of the caprock is,and the worse the CO_(2)sealing capacity is.The numerical method established in this study can provide an important reference for the prediction of gas breakthrough pressure on rock-core scale and for related numerical studies.
