This article dissects the challenges faced and the integration strategies for embracing the educational metaverse from existing research,preparing for the new educational trend-the educational metaverse-by controlling the target direction,technical direction,teacher training direction,and ethical direction.Starting from the origin,it analyzes the reasons for the entry of the metaverse into the educational field and summarizes the three characteristics of the educational metaverse supported by current technical means.Combining the current situation of classroom teaching and the advantages of the educational metaverse,it analyzes the inevitability of the metaverse entering the classroom.Subsequently,it analyzes the four major challenges of the current stage:the pressure of college entrance examinations,the challenge of technical implementation,the limited ability of teachers,and the digital ethical risks brought by the metaverse.It prescribes the right remedy,giving strategies for integrating the educational metaverse into the classroom from the four directions of reducing the burden of college entrance examinations,technology research,teacher ability development,and rule formulation.It is hoped that in the future,while the metaverse lands in the educational field,it can overcome challenges at various levels and achieve breakthroughs at the target level,technical level,teacher training level,and ethical level to truly realize the entry of the educational metaverse into the classroom. 展开更多

Relationship between Moral Elevation and Prosocial Behavior among College Students: The Mediating Role of Perceived Social Support and Moderating Role of Moral Identity

Objectives:The present study examined the relationship between college students’moral elevation and prosocial behavior.As well as the mediating role of perceived social support and the moderating role of moral identity.Methods:A sample of 489 college students were recruited for the study.They were asked to complete a series of questionnaires,including Moral Elevation Scale(MES),Perceived Social Support Scale(PSSS),Moral Identity Scale(MIS)and Prosocial Tendency Measure(PTM).As part of the data analysis,we used correlation analysis and the method of constructing latent variable structural equation model to explore the mechanism of action among variables.Results:After controlling for gender,discipline,the research found that:(1)Moral elevation positively predicted the prosocial behavior among the college students;(2)Perceived social support mediated the relationship between moral elevation and prosocial behavior;(3)Moral identity moderated the second half of the model(i.e.,the link between perceived social support and prosocial behavior).Specifically,the mediating effect of perceived social support was stronger for college students with high-level moral identity compared to those with low-level moral identity.Conclusions:Moral identity significantly moderates the mediating effect of perceived social support,and the mediating model with moderated is established. 展开更多

Effects of Internet-Based Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (IACT) on Adolescents: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

Objectives:This study reviewed published randomized controlled trials(RCTs)and evaluated the efficacy of internet-based acceptance and commitment therapy(IACT)on adolescent mental health.Methods:Searches were conducted in PubMed,ProQuest,APA(PsycNET/PsycINFO),and Web of Science from inception to Jan-uary 2022 to identify RCTs evaluating the effects of IACT on adolescents.The included studies were assessed for quality and risk of bias.This study was performed using the standard mean difference and associated 95%confidence interval of effective measures.Review Manager 5.4 software was adopted to calculate the effect size.Results:Compared to adolescents in control groups,those in the IACT groups showed some improvement in the efficacy of depression symptoms(SMD=−0.24,95%CI=[−0.44,−0.05],p=0.01)and had a small but sig-nificant effect on reducing experiential avoidance(SMD=−0.24,95%CI=[−0.46,−0.01],p=0.04).However,the effect size on anxiety did not reach the threshold(SMD=−0.18,95%CI=[−0.27,−0.09],p<0.0001).In addition,there were no significant differences in stress and well-being compared to those of the control group.Compared with universal adolescents,IACT was found to have a more significant therapeutic effect on targeted adolescents.Conclusions:IACT is effective in adolescent mental health interventions,but its clinical reliability and significant efficacy are limited,and more rigorous RCTs are needed in future studies. 展开更多

This paper aims to verify the family support situation for primary school children with intellectual disabilities learning in regular class and to explore various educational strategies to promote their development.A self-made questionnaire was used in this survey,and the parents of 380 intellectual disabled students were the subjects of this survey.It turns out that the overall family support for intellectual disabled children learning in regular class in China is good,but it is affected by the degree of obstacles.Factors such as grade,gender,and parental education had no significant effect on family support.It is the shared responsibility of the government,schools,and parents to promote the level of family support.Governments at all levels must implement family support projects,schools must carry out family education guidance to impart scientific parenting knowledge,and parents must take note of their own responsibilities,so as to promote the physical and mental development of children with intellectual disabilities. 展开更多

Objective: To understand the correlation between different degrees of obesity and bone mineral density (BMD). Methods: 772 cases (300 men and 472 females) of Zhuang over 40 years old were randomly selected. The BMD and T score were calculated by measuring the right heel bone using a quantitative-ultrasound densitometer. Body composition index of body weight, waist circumference (WC), waist height ratio (WtHR), body fat percentage (BFP) and visceral fat (VF) were measured using a bioelectrical impedance method. Results: The BMI, WC, and WtHR of the male osteoporosis group were lower than those of the normal bone mass (NBM) group (P Conclusion: BMI is positively correlated with BMD in Zhuang. BFP has a greater correlation with female BMD, and a small reduction in BFP can result in a significant decrease in BMD. BMD of male was positively correlated with abdominal obesity indicators (WC, WtHR, VF). However, abdominal obesity has no obvious effect on the promotion of BMD in women, and increased WtHR can lead to a decrease in BMD. Zhuang can appropriately increase the amount of fat within the normal weight range. At the same time, reasonable exercise and balanced nutrition to avoid excessive obesity or low body weight can reduce the incidence of osteoporosis and osteoporosis fractures. 展开更多

The formation of self-care ability is the first step for children with autism to enter the society,and it is also a prerequisite and guarantee for their independent survival.This study aimed to explore the impact of visual cue strategies on the self-care ability of children with autism.Based on the ABA design of a single case study,this research conducted a four-month intervention on a seven-year-old child with autism via visual cue strategy as independent variables and sock-wearing skills as dependent variables,in order to explore the effect of visual cue strategy on self-care ability of children with autism.It turned out that visual cue strategy exerts a positive immediate sustained effect and social validity on the self-care ability of children with autism.Lastly,suggestions were provided for future related research based on the research process,results,and limitations. 展开更多

In recent years,skeleton-based action recognition has made great achievements in Computer Vision.A graph convolutional network(GCN)is effective for action recognition,modelling the human skeleton as a spatio-temporal graph.Most GCNs define the graph topology by physical relations of the human joints.However,this predefined graph ignores the spatial relationship between non-adjacent joint pairs in special actions and the behavior dependence between joint pairs,resulting in a low recognition rate for specific actions with implicit correlation between joint pairs.In addition,existing methods ignore the trend correlation between adjacent frames within an action and context clues,leading to erroneous action recognition with similar poses.Therefore,this study proposes a learnable GCN based on behavior dependence,which considers implicit joint correlation by constructing a dynamic learnable graph with extraction of specific behavior dependence of joint pairs.By using the weight relationship between the joint pairs,an adaptive model is constructed.It also designs a self-attention module to obtain their inter-frame topological relationship for exploring the context of actions.Combining the shared topology and the multi-head self-attention map,the module obtains the context-based clue topology to update the dynamic graph convolution,achieving accurate recognition of different actions with similar poses.Detailed experiments on public datasets demonstrate that the proposed method achieves better results and realizes higher quality representation of actions under various evaluation protocols compared to state-of-the-art methods. 展开更多

Methods: A random cluster sampling method was used to select 41 age-matched indi-viduals (aged 11 - 30) as a non-depressive control group. The Department of Psychology at the Affiliated Hospital of Youjiang Medical University for Na-tionalities recruited 27 depressive patients within the same age range. Bioelec-trical impedance analysis measured body composition, while SCL-90, SAS, and SDS were employed for depression diagnosis. Logistic regression analysis was conducted to assess the relationship between body composition and de-pression scores. Results: The Depression Group exhibited higher levels of fat mass (p Conclusion: Depression is associated with age, gender, and muscle mass in adolescents and young people. While a plethora of studies has been conducted to examine stress and its impact on mental health in western countries,research is scarce investigating the relationship between student challenge stress and health illness in the context of Chinese colleges.No studies examined the moderating effect of self-efficacy on the relationship between challenge stress and health illness.This study attempted to investigate the relationships between these three variables among Chinese college students.Especially,this study focused on examining whether self-efficacy moderated the effect of perceived challenge stress on students’mental health.Also,the differences were tested between male and female students in terms of these three variables.A sample of 578 Chinese college students was recruited over an approximately 12-week period from 7 Chinese universities.An online survey link was dis-tributed through WeChat.The SPSS version 26 software was used to analyze the data.Results showed that there is no significant difference between genders in terms of perceived challenge stress,self-efficacy,and students’mental health.In addition,challenge stress was positively related to the students’mental health(β=0.35,p<0.01)while there was a negative association between self-efficacy and mental health(β=-0.41,p<0.01).Furthermore,self-efficacy plays a moderating role in the relationship between challenge stress and mental health(β=-0.11,p=0.02).Students with low self-efficacy tend to experience more mental health issues.It is suggested that Chinese colleges and universities pay more attention to students with low self-efficacy,either through faculty/staff interven-tions or peer counseling.Professors consider reducing students’academic stress to improve their mental health. 展开更多

Biofeedback is used to treat the mental diseases of college students, such as test anxiety, depression, personality, and mood. Anxiety of the colleague students was first tested by test anxiety scale (TAS) and then treated by biofeedback. After getting the biofeedback treatment, the students' TAS scores, blood volume pulse, and skin conductance were decreased, especially, their TAS scores dropped markedly. Meanwhile, the level of EEG (β1 rhythm/α rhythm) and peripheral temperature increased observably. Then, neurofeedback (β1 rhythm/α rhythm) was applied to treat students' depression, personality, and mood. As a result, these three kinds of symptoms got alleviated. And their therapeutic effects based on neurofeedback were more stable, durative and less recrudescent. 展开更多

Adolescence is the golden stage for developing reading ability.Reading ability is an important factor in promoting teenagers'know-how and cognitive structure.For teenagers who are at the stage of forming views on the world,life,and values,reading is a key part of understanding the external world.This study is an empirical analysis conducted on 210 teenagers through questionnaires to explore the influence of perceived value of social reading on teenagers'reading ability by using the structural equation model.The results show that first,the perceived value of social reading affects teenagers'reading ability;second,social reading motivation is the mediator of the above relationship;third,the perceived value of social reading affects teenagers'reading ability through reading motivation.In regard to that,it is proposed that the characteristics of perceived value should be made use to stimulate students'learning motivation and improve teenagers'reading ability in the process of policy formulation of governmental departments and the teaching in schools. 展开更多

Visible-infrared Cross-modality Person Re-identification(VI-ReID)is a critical technology in smart public facilities such as cities,campuses and libraries.It aims to match pedestrians in visible light and infrared images for video surveillance,which poses a challenge in exploring cross-modal shared information accurately and efficiently.Therefore,multi-granularity feature learning methods have been applied in VI-ReID to extract potential multi-granularity semantic information related to pedestrian body structure attributes.However,existing research mainly uses traditional dual-stream fusion networks and overlooks the core of cross-modal learning networks,the fusion module.This paper introduces a novel network called the Augmented Deep Multi-Granularity Pose-Aware Feature Fusion Network(ADMPFF-Net),incorporating the Multi-Granularity Pose-Aware Feature Fusion(MPFF)module to generate discriminative representations.MPFF efficiently explores and learns global and local features with multi-level semantic information by inserting disentangling and duplicating blocks into the fusion module of the backbone network.ADMPFF-Net also provides a new perspective for designing multi-granularity learning networks.By incorporating the multi-granularity feature disentanglement(mGFD)and posture information segmentation(pIS)strategies,it extracts more representative features concerning body structure information.The Local Information Enhancement(LIE)module augments high-performance features in VI-ReID,and the multi-granularity joint loss supervises model training for objective feature learning.Experimental results on two public datasets show that ADMPFF-Net efficiently constructs pedestrian feature representations and enhances the accuracy of VI-ReID. 展开更多
