The double loop wireless power transmitter consists of two coupling and parallel loop antennas which transmit field energy through resonant electromagnetic waves. In the application, this paper will mainly look at transmission loss, reverberation, disruption of the performers, and differences between different frequencies. The aim of this study was to confirm if there was a correlation between trait mindfulness,negative mood states,and stress.Our study is based on the assumption that practicing mindfulness did have the efficacy and abil...The aim of this study was to confirm if there was a correlation between trait mindfulness,negative mood states,and stress.Our study is based on the assumption that practicing mindfulness did have the efficacy and ability to regulate negative emotions and thoughts produced by negativity-inducing external stimuli.A hundred and fifteen individuals(M age=32.17 years,SD=8.21,59 males and 56 females)mostly from Beijing and Shanghai completed a series of measures,which included the Five-Facet Mindfulness Questionnaire(FFMQ),the Profile of Mood States-Brief Questionnaire(POMS-B),and the Stress Self-Perception Scale.After analyzing the collected data with SPSS 22.0,results showed that trait mindfulness has a significant relation with both negative mood states and stress,the relation being negative mood states and stress having a negative correlation to mindfulness and vice versa.This study verified the ability of mindfulness to stabilize and regulate negative emotions like depression and indicated the importance of practicing mindfulness as a way to cope with negativity-inducing stimuli and associated thoughts and emotions.Limitations and future research directions are discussed.展开更多

The gain of chevron MCPs is related to geometrical parameters, but no study has been done through SIMION simulation. The purpose of this study is to model a chevron MCP and its secondary emission process using SIMION and determine the relationship between microchannel plate gain, voltage, channel bias angle, and diameter. Two geometry files simulated MCP electric field and shape, and a Lua program simulated secondary emission. Simulation results showed that MCP gain is proportional to voltage, angles between 5 and 15 degrees maximize gain, and gain is inversely proportional to the diameter. This study accurately simulates a chevron MCP and yields the relationship between gain, voltage, channel bias angle, and diameter. Further studies are needed to simulate electron trajectories for improved precision.展开更多

In order for beginners of physics to better understand the physical meaning of this formula, we explored the source, the physical model and mechanism of this formula. Based on the principle that the interaction between two different fields can generate energy density, which is equal to the pressure, we analyzed the distribution of the electric field energy density as well as the corresponding pressure on the charged surface. Through the rigorous mathematical derivation, we give the theoretical derivation of this formula.展开更多
Product Development at Smartfood is considering adding a new low-carbohydrate food product labeled K-Pack to their product line.Hence,the company needs to estimate the product’s profit potential and choose the best m...Product Development at Smartfood is considering adding a new low-carbohydrate food product labeled K-Pack to their product line.Hence,the company needs to estimate the product’s profit potential and choose the best marketing strategy.In order to investigate the different factors’impact on sales,we establish a multiple regression model.In our model,we consider selling price,advertisement payment,and selling location as independent variables and the sale is a dependent variable.Based on the empirical test,we found that the sales of the product increase as the selling price and the ads investment increase,and locations near bakery sections lead to higher sales.We also found that the final profits increase as the selling price and the ads investment increase.As a result of the analysis made with the model,we provide the company with a full-scale estimation of sales and suggestions on their marketing strategy:higher price,higher advertisement payment,and selling locations near the stores’bakery sections.Compared with the original prediction made by the company’s staff,the methods followed are more accurate and provide suggestions more specifically.展开更多

The study of α4β2 nicotinic receptors has provided new indications in the treatment of pain. Efforts have been made to explore new α4β2 nicotinic receptor agonists, including TC-2559, as antinociceptive drugs. In ...The study of α4β2 nicotinic receptors has provided new indications in the treatment of pain. Efforts have been made to explore new α4β2 nicotinic receptor agonists, including TC-2559, as antinociceptive drugs. In this study, we discovered a set of novel epibatidine analogs with strong binding affinities to the α4β2 nicotinic receptors. Among these compounds, C-159, C-163, and C-9515 attenuated formalin-induced nociceptive responses in mice; C-9515 caused the most potent analgesic effect, which was blocked by mecamylamine, a non-selective nicotinic receptor antagonist. Furthermore, C-9515 potently inhibited chronic constriction injury(CCI)-induced neuropathic pain in rats, which was sensitive to DHβE, a selective α4β2 subtype antagonist,indicating that its analgesic effect was mediated by the activation of the α4β2 nicotinic receptors. In conclusion, the epibatidine analog C-9515 was found to be a potent α4β2 nicotinic receptor agonist with potent analgesic function, which demonstrated potential for the further exploration of its druggability.展开更多
