A continuously or/and discontinuously tunable LiNbO3 Optical Parametric Oscillator (OPO) with the spectral range of 1.42 - 4.24 um and shifting of 0…12 nm is created and investigated. The OPO resonator ring circuit provides for the radiation energy output value of up to 50 mJ. Radiation bandwidth narrowing of up to 0.7 cm–1 by introducing of the Fabry-Perot etalon into the OPO resonator has been obtained. 展开更多

In today’s world,higher education,especially in technical sciences,is crucial when speaking about a change in values and attitudes towards sustainability.Engaging students in learning and training process as well as developing their research skills and creative capacity is challenging.This study inquiries into the current academic activities and role of used educational technologies and methodologies for encouraging active learning in both undergraduate and postgraduate programs when teaching any engineering course in general,and geospatial sciences in particular.The result of the study suggests the importance of interdisciplinary project and problem-based learning,building partnership with universities,students and industrial companies,monitoring,developing,and implementation of new educational technologies. 展开更多

It has been shown that in ... The innovative radiating structures as a conical millimeter wave FZP lens are proposed for subwavelength focusing. The results of FDTD simulation and experimental verification are discussed. It has been shown that in contrast to the flat diffractive optics the curvilinear 3D diffractive conical optics is capable of overcoming 3D Abbe barrier with a focal distance F greater than 2A. The focal intensity distribution for such type of lenses is not circularly symmetric and thus the focal spot in the high numerical aperture case is no longer an Airy pattern. These results may find useful applications in optical microscopes, including "reverse-microscope', nondestructive testing, microoptics, and nanooptics. 展开更多
