Preliminary results of our study related to simultaneous waste water purification by photocatalytic degradation of organic impurity (Methylene Blue dye) and its effects on seed germination are presented here. It is interesting and important to know that complete degradation of the dye occurs within 2 hours and does not adversely affect the seed germination process. It is concluded that waste water purification by photocatalysis and seed germination (agriculture) can be carried out simultaneously, opening a way for advanced agriculture. 展开更多

In a broader sense, the human-centered equivalents of experience and trust apply to D2D interaction. Ubiquitous computing (UbiComp) embeds intelligence and computing capabilities in everyday objects to make them effectively communicate, share resources, and perform useful tasks. The safety of resources is a serious problem. As a result, authorization and access control in UbiComp is a significant challenge. Our work presents experience as an outcome of history (HI), reliability (RL), transitivity (TR), and Ubiquity (UB). This experience model is easily adaptable to a variety of self-regulating context-aware access control systems. This paper proposes a framework for Experience-Based Access Control (EX-BAC) with all major services provided by the model. EX-BAC extends attribute-based access control. It uses logical device type and experience as context parameters for policy design. When compared with the state-of-the-art, EX-BAC is efficient with respect to response time. 展开更多

Structural, morphological, dielectrical and magnetic properties of Mn substituted cobalt ferrite

The C01-xMnxFez04 (0 ≤ x 〈-5 0.5) ferrite system is synthesized by using an auto combustion technique using metal nitrates. The influence of Mn substitution on the structural, electrical, impedance and magnetic properties of cobalt ferrite is reported. X-ray diffraction patterns of the prepared samples confirm that the Bragg's peak belongs to a spinel cubic crystal structure. The lattice constant of cobalt ferrite increases with the increase in Mn content. The microstructural study is carried out by using the SEM technique and the average grain size continues to increase with increasing manganese content. AC conductivity analysis suggests that the conduction is due to small polaron hopping. DC electrical resistivity decreases with increasing temperature for a Col-xMnxFe204 system showing semiconducting behavior. The activation energy is found to be higher in the paramagnetic region than the ferromagnetic region. Curie temperature decreases with Mn substitution in the host ferrite system. Dielectric dispersion having Maxwell-Wagner-type interfacial polarization has been observed for cobalt ferrite samples. Magnetic properties have been studied by measuring M-H plots. The saturation and remanent magnetization increases with Mn substitution. 展开更多
