A match...The aim of this study was to estimate the association between occupational, environmental, behavioral risk factors, and active pulmonary tuberculosis(PTB) among coal workers' pneumoconiosis(CWP) patients. A matched case-control study was conducted in 86 CWP patients with active PTB and 86 CWP controls without TB. A standardized questionnaire was used for risk factors assessment. Conditioned logistic regression analysis was used to identify associations between the risk factors and active PTB among CWP patients. The results showed that the stage of CWP, poor workplace ventilation, family history of TB, and exposure to TB were independent risk factors for active PTB in patients with CWP with which recommendations for improving work environments, and for case finding activities in patients with CWP could be made.展开更多

Through a series of field surveys in Xinjiang, we made the small-scale area analysis of coal field fire using the ground remote sensing technique, and presented the reasonable evaluation of thermal anomaly conditions of Xinjiang's coal field arising from coal self-ignition fires. The results show that the method of small-scale area analysis is available for examining the extinguished actuality of coal fires and detecting fire spots. Therefore, for the selected fire-extinguished coal field in Xinjiang, the fire extinguishing effect was effectively analyzed by the means, and the new hidden thermal dangers were sought and diagnosed. For the coal field where the fire has not been extinguished, the utilization of this means approximately identified the severity and range of the fire area, and provided the quantitative and ground references for extinguish engineering.展开更多

A soil spring model was used to analyze the nonlinear characteristics concerning ...This paper presents a method for analysis of stress and strain of gas pipelines under the effect of horizontal catastrophic landslides. A soil spring model was used to analyze the nonlinear characteristics concerning the mutual effects between the pipeline and the soil. The Ramberg–Osgood model was used to describe the constitutive relations of pipeline materials. This paper also constructed a finite element analysis model using ABAQUS finite element software and studied the distribution of the maximum stress and strain of the pipeline and the axial stress and strain along the pipeline by referencing some typical accident cases. The calculation results indicated that the maximum stress and strain increased gradually with the displacement of landslide.The limit values of pipeline axial stress strain appeared at the junction of the landslide area and non-landslide area. The stress failure criterion was relatively more conservative than the strain failure criterion. The research results of this paper may be used as a technical reference concerning the design and safety management of large-diameter gas pipelines under the effects of catastrophic landslides.展开更多
To prevent possible accidents,the study of data-driven analytics to predict hidden dangers in cloud service-based intelligent industrial production management has been the subject of increasing interest recently.A mac...To prevent possible accidents,the study of data-driven analytics to predict hidden dangers in cloud service-based intelligent industrial production management has been the subject of increasing interest recently.A machine learning algorithm that uses timeliness managing extreme learning machine is utilized in this article to achieve the above prediction.Compared with traditional learning algorithms,extreme learning machine(ELM) exhibits high performance because of its unique feature of a high generalization capability at a fast learning speed.Timeliness managing ELM is proposed by incorporating timeliness management scheme into ELM.When using the timeliness managing ELM scheme to predict hidden dangers,newly incremental data could be added prior to the historical data to maximize the contribution of the newly incremental training data,because the incremental data may be able to contribute reasonable weights to represent the current production situation according to practical analysis of accidents in some industrial productions.Experimental results from a coal mine show that the use of timeliness managing ELM can improve the prediction accuracy of hidden dangers with better stability compared with other similar machine learning methods.展开更多

The self-assembly of cyanine dye not only depend on the environment, but also on their structures. Here, we report assembly and disassembly of two cyanine dyes,a dimeric cyaine dye(TC-P4) and its corresponding monomer(TC). In PBS, these dyes could form aggregates. The parallel c-myc G-quadruplex as a template causes the transformation of TC-P4 from Haggregates to dimer and monomer; while duplex and single-stranded DNAs could not. The interaction between these DNAs motifs and TC could all induce the appearance of monomer band. Parallel c-myc Gquadruplex could enhance the fluorescence intensity of TC-P4 and TC. The self-assembly and disassembly of TC and TC-P4 could be regulated and used as probes for G-quadruplex recognition from duplex and single-stranded DNAs in solution.展开更多
