At the same time, the online shopping could not be successfully completed without logistics service. Logistics service quality (LSQ) has significant impact on revenue and profitability. This paper presents the issue from the perspective of the customer, and explores the initial factors of LSQ based on the online shopping through in-depth interview and the Delphi method. The survey uses a standard 7-point Likert-type scale to measure the LSQ. Empirical research results are shown in detail to confirm seven LSQ dimensions with Chinese characteristics, including timeliness quality, personal contact quality, order quality, order discrepancy handling, order condition and convenience. Statistical analyses of the investigation were conducted to test the reliability and validity of the LSQ evaluation model.展开更多

The method includes two phases: First, a partial differential equations (PDE) based the total variation model and Otsu thresholding method are used to preprocess the calligraphy document image. Second, a new method based on run-length statistics and structure charac- teristics of Chinese characters is proposed to remove some random and ant-like noises. This includes the optimal threshold se- lection from histogram of run-length probability density, and improved Hough transform algorithm for line shape noise detection and removal. Based on (Ijiri et al., 2005)’s method, we separate individual flower modeling and inflorescence modeling procedures into structure and geometry modeling. We incorporate interactive editing gestures to allow the user to edit structure parameters freely onto structure diagram. Furthermore, we use free-hand sketching techniques to allow users to create and edit 3D geometrical elements freely and easily. The final step is to automatically merge all independent 3D geometrical elements into a single waterproof mesh. Our experiments show that this solid modeling approach is promising. Using our approach, novice users can create vivid flower models easily and freely. The generated flower model is waterproof. It can have applications in visualization, animation, gaming, and toys and decorations if printed out on 3D rapid prototyping devices.展开更多

The adhesives used to glue together single plies in laminates usually exhibit a certain viscoelastic characteristic in a high temperature environment. In this paper, a laminated orthotropic rectangular plate with viscoelastic interfaces, described by the Kelvin-Voigt model, is considered. A power series expansion technique is adopted to approximate the time-variation of various field quantities. Results indicate that the response of the laminated plate with viscoelastic interfaces changes remarkably with time, and is much different from that of a plate with spring-like or viscous interfaces.展开更多

This paper presents a mesh compression scheme PRMC (Parallel Rendering based Mesh Compression) supplying encoded meshes that can be partitioned and sorted in parallel rendering system even in encoded-domain. First, we segment the mesh into submeshes and clip the submeshes’ boundary into Runs, and then piecewise compress the submeshes and Runs respectively. With the help of several auxiliary index tables, compressed submeshes and Runs can serve as rendering primitives in parallel rendering system. Based on PRMC, we design and implement a parallel rendering architecture. Compared with uncompressed representation, experimental results showed that PRMC meshes applied in cluster parallel rendering system can dramatically reduce the communication requirement.展开更多

In this paper, a novel segmentation approach of point-sampled surfaces is proposed, which is based on the level set evolution scheme. To segment the model so as to align the patch boundaries with high curvature zones, the driven speed function for the zero level set inside narrow band is defined by the extended curvature field, which approaches zero speed as the propagating front approaches high curvature zone. The effectiveness of the proposed approach is demonstrated by our ex- perimental results. Furthermore, two applications of model segmentation are illustrated, such as piecewise parameterization and local editing for point-sampled geometry.展开更多

We first propose a Two-Fluid model based on the physical theory of tornado, then we simulate the flow of tornado and its interaction with surrounding objects such as debris, etc. Taking the scattering and absorption of light by the participating media into account, the illumination effects of the tornado scene can be generated realistically. Additionally some commonly used style lines are automatically generated to enhance design efficiency. Secondly, after style lines are preprocessed, a searching method is presented for quickly obtaining the boundaries and patches of a pattern on the 3D trian- gular surface. Finally a new pattern design reuse method is introduced by encoding/decoding the style line information. After style lines are encoded, the pattern design information can be saved in a pattern template and when decoding this template on a new garment surface, it automates the pattern generation for made-to-measure apparel products.展开更多

To make the tolerancing system robust and efficient, many techniques such as hierar- chical tolerance representation, rule-based evaluation and non-intersection determination of tolerance zone have been devised. Our system first divides the given photographic image into several regions on which we synthesize a grounding layer with texture patches extracted from the example paintings. Then, we paint those regions using brushes stochastically chosen from the brush library, with further brush color and shape perturbations. The brush direction is determined by a direction field either constructed by a convenient user interactive manner or synthesized from the examples. In this system, we propose a new method for calculating node rotation while applying a similar technique with stiffness warping to tackle the nonlinear large deformation. In our method, all node rotations are evaluated from sampling points in attached skeleton by con- structing and solving the diffusion partial differential equation. The experiments indicated that the method can enhance the sta- bility of the dynamics and avoid fussy sub-step calculation in static deformation edition. Moreover, rational deformation results for the area around the skeleton joints can be simulated without user interaction by adopting the simplified technique.展开更多

In order to exploit the rendering ability of PC clusters, we should design appropriate parallel rendering algorithms and parallel graphics library interfaces. Due to the rapid development of Direct3D, we bring forward DPGL, the Direct3D9-based parallel graphics library in D3DPR parallel rendering system, which implements Direct3D9 interfaces to support existing Direct3D9 application parallelization with no modification. Based on the parallelism analysis of Direct3D9 rendering pipeline, we briefly introduce D3DPR parallel rendering system. DPGL is the fundamental component of D3DPR. After presenting DPGL three layers architecture, we discuss the rendering resource interception and management. Finally, we describe the design and implementation of DPGL in detail, including rendering command interception layer, rendering command interpretation layer and rendering resource parallelization layer.展开更多

An adaptive video segmentation algorithm based on hidden conditional random fields (HCRFs) is proposed, which models spatio-temporal constraints of video sequence. In order to improve the segmentation quality, the weights of spatio-temporal con- straints are adaptively updated by on-line learning for HCRFs. Shadows are the factors affecting segmentation quality. To separate foreground objects from the shadows they cast, linear transform for Gaussian distribution of the background is adopted to model the shadow. The experimental results demonstrated that the error ratio of our algorithm is reduced by 23% and 19% respectively, compared with the Gaussian mixture model (GMM) and spatio-temporal Markov random fields (MRFs).展开更多

It makes the analysis and processing of such an image more difficult and sometime impossible. In this paper, a unified multi-toning image adjustment method is proposed to solve this problem. First, a novel unsupervised clustering method was proposed to partition the source and the target image into a certain number of subsets with similar color statistics. By matching the texture characteristics and luminance distribution between the blocks, it can create optimized correspondence. Then, the color information was transferred from the matched pixels in the source blocks to the target ones. Graph cut method was used to optimize the seams between different subsets in the final step. This method can automatically perform color adjustment of a multi-toning image. It is simple and efficient. Various results show the validity of this method.展开更多

First, a new motion with repeated frames is generated by exploiting the symmetric properties of the frames and reversing the motion sequence playback in a given motion sequence. Then, the order of the above motion sequence is rearranged by putting the start and the end frames together. The graphcut algorithm is used to seamlessly synthesize the transition between the start and the end frames, which is noted as graphcut-based motion-texton. Finally, we utilize the motion-textons to synthesize long motion texture, which can be patched together like the image texture synthesis method using graphcut algorithm, and automatically form a long motion texture endlessly. Our approach is demonstrated by synthesizing the long kungfu motion texture without visual artifacts, together with post-processing including our new developed graphcut-based motion blending and Poisson-based motion smoothing techniques.展开更多

By using simplified model from original mesh, the editing task can be accomplished with a few operations. We take the deformation of the proxy and the position coordinates of the mesh models as geometry signal. Wavelet analysis is em- ployed to separate local detail information gracefully. The crucial innovation of this paper is a new adaptive regular sampling approach for our signal analysis based editing framework. In our approach, an original mesh is resampled and then refined itera- tively which reflects optimization of our proposed spectrum preserving energy. As an extension of our spectrum editing scheme, the editing principle is applied to geometry details transferring, which brings satisfying results.展开更多

文摘A mesh editing framework is presented in this paper, which integrates Free-Form Deformation (FFD) and geometry signal processing. By using simplified model from original mesh, the editing task can be accomplished with a few operations. We take the deformation of the proxy and the position coordinates of the mesh models as geometry signal. Wavelet analysis is em- ployed to separate local detail information gracefully. The crucial innovation of this paper is a new adaptive regular sampling approach for our signal analysis based editing framework. In our approach, an original mesh is resampled and then refined itera- tively which reflects optimization of our proposed spectrum preserving energy. As an extension of our spectrum editing scheme, the editing principle is applied to geometry details transferring, which brings satisfying results.
