This paper presents experimental observations on the adsorption of individual solutes by a simple thermodynamic framework, and the equilibrium adsorption of ethyl benzoate and diethyl phthalate on phenolic resin adsor...This paper presents experimental observations on the adsorption of individual solutes by a simple thermodynamic framework, and the equilibrium adsorption of ethyl benzoate and diethyl phthalate on phenolic resin adsorbent in hexane solutions within the temperature range of 293-313 K. The experimental results show that the Freundlich adsorption law is applicable to the adsorption of ethyl benzoate and diethyl phthalate on the adsorbent, since all the correlative factors R' are larger than 0.99. The negative values of all the isosteric adsorption enthalpies for ethyl benzoate and diethyl phthalate indicate that they undergo exothermic processes, while their magnitudes (19-28 kJ/mol) manifest a hydrogen bonding sorption process. Other thermodynamic properties: the free energy changes and the entropy change associated with the adsorption have been calculated from the Gibbs adsorption equation and the Gibbs-Helmholtz equation展开更多

The thermal properties of the polymers such as thermal stability andphase transition behavior were studied by thermogravimetric analysis, differential thermalanalysis, polarizing optical microscope and X-ray diffractometer. Photo-polymeric resins were prepared from CAGE4MA. 2,2-bis4-(2-hydroxy-3-methacrylyloxypropoxy)ph...2′-methacryloxy-3α, 7α, 12α - trimethacryloyl cholic acid ethyl ester (CAGE4MA) has been prepared from cholic acid. Photo-polymeric resins were prepared from CAGE4MA. 2,2-bis4-(2-hydroxy-3-methacrylyloxypropoxy)phenylpropane (bis-GMA) was used for comparison, triethyleneglycol dimethacrylate (TEGDMA) was used as diluent. The polymerization was initiated by camphoroquinone (CQ)N, N-dimethylaminoethyl methacrylate (DMAEMA) system. The conversion of CAGE4MA was 39% when the reaction time is 60s, which is lower than bis-GMA and TEGDMA. The swelling value of CAGE4MA resin was 0.41% in distilled water, which is much lower than those of bis-GMA resin (2.04%) and TEGDMA resin (4.77%) under the same conditions. Copolymers from CAGE4MA and TEGDMA have been prepared. With the increase of TEGDMA in mixture, the degree of conversion of CAGE4MA and swelling value increased. The swelling values of photocured resins in 0.1molL HCl were also measured.展开更多

The microstructure characteristics of t...Some compounds of LiCo 1- x RE x O 2 (RE=rare earth elements and x =0.01~0.03) were prepared by doping rare earth elements to LiCoO 2 via solid state synthesis. The microstructure characteristics of the LiCo 1- x RE x O 2 were investigated by XRD. It was found that the lattice parameters c are increased and the lattice volumes are enlarged compared to that of LiCoO 2. Moreover, the performance of LiCo 1- x RE x O 2 as the cathode material in lithium ion battery is improved, especially LiCo 1- x Y x O 2 and LiCo 1- x La x O 2. The initial charge/discharge capacities of LiCo 0.99 Y 0.01 O 2 and LiCo 0.99 La 0.01 O 2 are 174/154 (mAh·g -1 ) and 159/149 (mAh·g -1 ) respectively, while those for LiCoO 2 working in the same way are only 139/131 (mAh·g -1 ).展开更多

The Ni particles on the catalysts are ...D-72 resin supported nickel-copper catalysts prepared by solvated metal atom impregnation (SMAI) were studied by magnetic measurements and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The Ni particles on the catalysts are very highly dispersed and display superparamagnetic behaviour. Ni-Cu alloy clusters were found to be formed. The surface compositions are different from the bulk concentrations. In contrast with the surface enrichment in copper generally observed on conventional Ni-Cu catalysts, the surfaces of these catalysts are enriched in nickel. The nickel is in both zero and valent states, while copper is mainly in metallic state. Catalytic data show that the formation of Ni-Cu alloy clusters has a profound effect on the catalytic activities of the catalysts in the hydrogenation of furfural. The activity of the Ni:Cu ratio of one bimetallic catalysts is much higher than that of the Ni or Cu monometallic catalyst.展开更多

It has been found that with in...The morphological change of St/DVB crosslinked gels during chloromethylation wasstudied by fluorescence spectroscopy using St/DVB crosslinked and hypercrosslinked gels as controlsamples. It has been found that with increase of chlorine content, the excimer emission band (~325nm)approaches to vanish, while the intensity of multi-ring aggregate emission band (~420nm) quicklyreaches a maximum, and then decreases sharply accompanied by appearance ofa new broad bandcentred at ca 488nm which roughly coincides with the typical emission band of hypercrossllinkedSt/DVB gels. Mearwhile, the result of IR measurement suggests that methylene bridge between phenylrings forms and increases with chloromethylation process. These results are explained in terms ofaside reaction of post-crosslinking, which densifies the loosely crosslinked networks and undoes thedensely entangled microgel nuclei. As a result, the morphology of the crosslinked gels becom es morehomogeneous with chloromethylation.展开更多

Dextran immunological magnetic nanoparticles (DIMNP) were formed by the reaction of the monoclonal anti-human mammary cancer antibody with DMNP oxidized by sodium periodate, and the properties of magnetic susceptibility, shape and retention of antibody activity were investigated. The actual mechanism of their activity has been proposed to link with the complexes with many ...The widely used antibiotics tetracyclines have been effectively used for ailing heart attack, ulcer cure and gene therapy. The actual mechanism of their activity has been proposed to link with the complexes with many metal ions. However, the sites at which complex formation takes place are not well established. In the present work, the depro-tonation sequence of tetracycline (TC) and oxytetracycline (OTC), and their specific group used to bind europium ion were investigated by examining the character of fluorescence of TC and OTC as well as that of their complexes. It was concluded that the site of complexation is coordinated with the deprotonation sequence changing with the acidity/basicity of the solution. And it was inferred that five hydrogens in TC and OTC could be dissociated. The deprotonation sequence is as follows: C(3) hydroxy, C(10) phenol, C(4) dimethylamine, C(12) hydroxy and C(12a) hydroxy. The corresponding complexation site changed with pH increase in solution as follows: C(2) acylamino and C(3) hydroxy moiety, C(10)C(11) ketophenol moiety, C(4) dimethylamine and C(3) hydroxy moiety, C(11)C(12) ?diketone moiety, C(12) hydroxy and C(12a) hydroxy moiety, and C(12) hydroxy and C(1) ketone moiety respectively.展开更多

The polyme...Two molecularly imprinted polymers binding to analgesic acetanilide were prepared using either dual functional monomers of calix[4]arene derivative and acrylamide or single monomer acrylamide, respectively. The polymers were ground, sieved and investigated by equilibrium binding experiment to evaluate their recognition properties for the template and other substrates. Scatchard analysis showed that homogeneous recognition sites were formed in the imprinted polymer matrix. Our results demonstrated that the polymer using two functional monomers exhibited better selectivity for the template. This study may open new frontiers for the development and application of imprinted polymers, such as drug separation and purification.展开更多

文摘A scries of polymeric adsorbents with peptide pendants were designed as the artificial receptors of β-laetarn antibiotics by mimicking the structures of binding site in β-lactamases.Crosslinked poly(N,N-dimethyl acry-lamide) gel as a carrier was prepared by suspension copolyrnerization of N,N-dimethyl acrylamide and N,N-bisacryl-diaminoethane and then functionalized with ethylenediamine after partial hydrolysis.Using solid-phase peptide synthesis with symmetrical anhydride of protected amino acid step by step,various peptide pendants were respectively anchored onto the functionalized carrier.The adsorption properties of these peptide-containing adsorbents for β-lactam antibiotics such as ampicillin and cefotaxime were then studied.The results showed that only those adsorbents in which peptide chains contained more than one lysine residues could obviously adsorb both β-lactams and that static interaction as well as hydrogen bond played an important role during the
文摘A model was proposed for the drug release from a coated matrix system.To validate thismodel,5-Fu/EVAL matrices coated with various polymeric materials with different diffusivities wereprepared and characterized.These coated systems were experimentally investigated and graphically andquantitatively compared with theoretical values.The results show a good correlation between theoryand experiment.

文摘Superparamagnetic dextran nanoparticles were prepared by coprecipitation. Effects of concentration of dextran, amount of ironic salts, stirring speed, concentration of ammonium hydroxide and mole ratio of Fe3+/Fe2+ on the effective diameter of dextran magnetic nanopartides (DMNP) were studied. Dextran immunological magnetic nanoparticles (DIMNP) were formed by the reaction of the monoclonal anti-human mammary cancer antibody with DMNP oxidized by sodium periodate, and the properties of magnetic susceptibility, shape and retention of antibody activity were investigated. The in vitro cancer antigen binding ability of DIMNP was demonstrated by radioimmunoassay, and the in vivo magnetic localization and antibody targeting ability of radiolabeled DIMNP were studied.

文摘The widely used antibiotics tetracyclines have been effectively used for ailing heart attack, ulcer cure and gene therapy. The actual mechanism of their activity has been proposed to link with the complexes with many metal ions. However, the sites at which complex formation takes place are not well established. In the present work, the depro-tonation sequence of tetracycline (TC) and oxytetracycline (OTC), and their specific group used to bind europium ion were investigated by examining the character of fluorescence of TC and OTC as well as that of their complexes. It was concluded that the site of complexation is coordinated with the deprotonation sequence changing with the acidity/basicity of the solution. And it was inferred that five hydrogens in TC and OTC could be dissociated. The deprotonation sequence is as follows: C(3) hydroxy, C(10) phenol, C(4) dimethylamine, C(12) hydroxy and C(12a) hydroxy. The corresponding complexation site changed with pH increase in solution as follows: C(2) acylamino and C(3) hydroxy moiety, C(10)C(11) ketophenol moiety, C(4) dimethylamine and C(3) hydroxy moiety, C(11)C(12) ?diketone moiety, C(12) hydroxy and C(12a) hydroxy moiety, and C(12) hydroxy and C(1) ketone moiety respectively.

文摘Two molecularly imprinted polymers binding to analgesic acetanilide were prepared using either dual functional monomers of calix[4]arene derivative and acrylamide or single monomer acrylamide, respectively. The polymers were ground, sieved and investigated by equilibrium binding experiment to evaluate their recognition properties for the template and other substrates. Scatchard analysis showed that homogeneous recognition sites were formed in the imprinted polymer matrix. Our results demonstrated that the polymer using two functional monomers exhibited better selectivity for the template. This study may open new frontiers for the development and application of imprinted polymers, such as drug separation and purification.
