Adsorption damage and control measures of slick-water fracturing fluid in shale reservoirs 被引量:1

The slick-water polymer adsorption damage and control measures in shale were examined using a shale pack model of the Ordovician Wufeng Formation–Silurian Longmaxi Formation in the Changning block of the Sichuan Basin. The adsorption law of slick water under different displacement time, concentrations, p H values and temperatures of polymer were tested by traditional displacement experiment and UV-Vis spectrophotometer. The adsorption equilibrium time was 150 min, the amount of adsorption was proportional to the concentration of the polymer, and the maximum adsorption concentration was 1 800 mg/L. With the increase of p H value, the adsorption capacity decreased gradually, the adsorption capacity increased first and then decreased with the increase of temperature, and the adsorption capacity was the largest at 45 ?C. The adsorption patterns of polymers on shale were described by scanning electron microscopy and magnetic resonance imaging. It is proved that the adsorption of polymer on shale led to the destruction of the network structure of anionic polyacrylamide molecules, and the shale adsorption conformation was characterized qualitatively. Finally, according to the adsorption law and adsorption mechanism, it is proposed to reduce the adsorption quantity of polymer on shale surface by using hydrogen bond destruction agent. The effects of hydrogen bond destruction on four kinds of strong electronegative small molecules were compared, the hydrogen bond destroyer c was the best, which lowered the adsorption capacity by 5.49 mg/g and recovered permeability to 73.2%. The research results provide a reference for the optimization of construction parameters and the improvement of slickwater liquid system. 展开更多

Optimization of refracturing timing for horizontal wells in tight oil reservoirs: A case study of Cretaceous Qingshankou Formation, Songliao Basin, NE China

Tight oil reservoirs in Songliao Basin were taken as subjects and a novel idealized refracturing well concept was proposed by considering the special parameters of volume fracturing horizontal wells, the refracturing potential of candidate wells were graded and prioritized, and a production prediction model of refracturing considering the stress sensitivity was established using numerical simulation method to sort out the optimal refracturing method and timing. The simulations show that: with the same perforation clusters, the order of fracturing technologies with contribution to productivity from big to small is refracturing between existent fractured sections, orientation diversion inside fractures, extended refracturing, refracturing of existent fractures; and the later the refracturing timing, the shorter the effective time. Based on this, the prediction model of breakdown pressure considering the variation of formation pressure was used to find out the variation pattern of breakdown pressure of different positions at different production time. Through the classification of the breakdown pressure, the times of temporary plugging and diverting and the amount of temporary plugging agent were determined under the optimal refracturing timing. Daily oil production per well increased from 2.3 t/d to 16.5 t/d in the field test. The research results provide important reference for refracturing optimization design of similar tight oil reservoirs. 展开更多

The Sinian cores collected from the Anyue gas field contain abundant pores, vugs and fractures, which are filled with a mass of solid bitumen of two epochs and dolomite in between. It is well-known that barriers have a significant impact on the production performance of horizontal wells developed in a bottom water drive reservoir. In most cases, reservoir barriers are semi-permeable. Based on previous research on impermeable reservoir barrier, a mathematical flow model was derived for a horizontal well of a bottom water drive reservoir with a semi-permeable barrier. Besides, analytical equations were also presented to calculate critical parameters, such as production rate,pressure and potential difference. The effects of barrier, well and reservoir parameters on our model results were further investigated.The results show that the larger the barrier size is or the higher the barrier location is, the higher the critical production rate and potential difference of a horizontal well are. When the barrier permeability equals the formation permeability or the barrier width equals zero, the critical production rates converge to the values same to that of the case with no barrier. When the barrier permeability equals zero, the problem is regarded as a case of impermeable barrier. This model can be applied to predicting horizontal wells' critical production parameters in reservoirs with semi-permeable barriers. 展开更多

The effects of plastic deformation and H2 S on fracture toughness of high strength casing steel(C110 steel) were investigated. The studied casing specimens are as follows: original casing, plastic deformation(PD) casing and PD casing after being immersed in NACE A solution saturated with H2S(PD+H2S). Instrumented impact method was employed to evaluate the impact behaviors of the specimens, meanwhile, dynamic fracture toughness(JId) was calculated by using Rice model and Schindler model. The experimental results show that dynamic fracture toughness of the casing decreases after plastic deformation. Compared with that of the original casing and PD casing, the dynamic fracture toughness decreases further when the PD casing immersed in H2 S, moreover, there are ridge-shaped feature and many secondary cracks present on the fracture surface of the specimens. Impact fracture mechanism of the casing is proposed as follows: the plastic deformation results in the increase of defect density of materials where the atomic hydrogen can accumulate in reversible or irreversible traps and even recombine to form molecular hydrogen, subsequently, the casing material toughness decreases greatly. 展开更多

In this work, the unified fracture design(UFD) is extended for the first time to the fractured horizontal wells in heterogeneous closed box-shaped tight gas reservoirs. Utilizing the direct boundary element method and influence function, the dimensionless fracture productivity index is obtained and expressed in the function of proppant volume and fracture geometry at the pseudo-steady state. With the iterative method, the effectively propped permeability, kfe, is corrected using the in-situ Reynolds number, N_(Re). The goal of this paper is to present a new UFD extension to design the proppant volume and the optimal fracture geometry. The results show that there exists an optimal proppant volume for a certain reservoir. The small aspect ratio(y_e/x_e) and high permeability reservoirs need short and wide fractures to diminish the non-Darcy effect. On the contrary, long and narrow fractures are required for the large aspect ratio and low permeability reservoirs. A small proppant volume is prone to creating long fractures, while a relatively large proppant volume creates wide fractures. The new extension can be used to evaluate the previous fracture parameters and design the following fracture parameters of the fractured horizontal well in heterogeneous tight gas reservoirs, with the non-Darcy effect taken into account. 展开更多

The discovery of natural gas reservoirs from the Triassic Feixianguan Formation in the Northeastern Sichuan Basin is an important breakthrough in the field of marine carbonate rocks for Chinese oil and gas exploration in recent years.Because of the dolomite-hosted reservoirs in the Feixianguan Formation,these dolomites and their formation mechanisms have been a research focus for sedimentary geologists and petroleum geologists.Based on the homogenization temperatures of fluid inclusions,oxygen isotopic composition and their calculated temperatures,and the burial and thermal history of the typical well,it is considered that the majority of dolomites are formed by low-temperature dolomitizing fluids in the Triassic Feixianguan Formation,Northeastern Sichuan Basin.Only a minority of dolomites are formed by high-temperature dolomitizing fluids.The ending depth interval of low-temperature dolomitizing fluids was about 1000-2500 m,of which the correspondingly ending timing interval was approximately from early-middle Middle Triassic to early-middle Late Triassic.The main depth interval of high-temperature dolomitizing fluids was about 3200-4500 m,of which the correspondingly main timing interval was approximately early-middle Middle Jurassic.The low-temperature and high-temperature dolomitizing fluids have different meanings to the formation and evolution of the pore volumes of dolomite reservoirs in the Feixianguan Formation,Northeastern Sichuan Basin. 展开更多
