Finite water depth Green function and higher-order boundary ele- ment method are used to solve integral equation. Numeri- cal results about added mass and damping are presented for odd and even mode motions of FPSO. The results show ro- bust convergence in high frequency range and can be used in wave load analysis for FPSO designing and operation.展开更多

The airway model which consists of the airway from nasal cavity, pharynx, larynx and trachea to triple bifurcation is built based on the CT images of a healthy volunteer and the Weibel model. The flow character- istics of the whole upper airway are quantitatively described at any time level of respiratory cycle. Simulation results of respiratory flow show good agreement with the clinical mea- sures, experimental and computational results in the litera- ture. The air mainly passes through the floor of the nasal cavity in the common, middle and inferior nasal meatus. The higher airway resistance and wall shear stresses are distrib- uted on the posterior nasal valve. Although the airways of pharynx, larynx and bronchi experience low shear stresses, it is notable that relatively high shear stresses are distrib- uted on the wall of epiglottis and bronchial bifurcations. Besides, two-dimensional fluid-structure interaction models of normal and abnormal airways are built to discuss the flow-induced deformation in various anatomy models. The result shows that the wall deformation in normal airway is relatively small.展开更多

The arterial wall was assumed to be vis- coelastic and the blood was assumed to be incompressible and non-Newtonian fluid, which is more close to human arte- rial system. Numerical results indicated that the mass trans- fer from the arterial surface to flowing blood in regions of disturbed flow is positively related with the wall shear rates and it is significantly enhanced in regions of disturbed flow with a local minimum around the reattachment point which is higher than the average value of the downstream. There- fore, it may be implied that the accumulation of cholesterol or lipids within atheromatous plaques is not caused by the reduced efflux of cholesterol or lipids, but by the infiltration of the LDL (low-density lipoprotein) from the flowing blood to the arterial wall.展开更多

Four kinds of milling time were used to analyze the function and influence on mechanical alloying. The samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction and optical microscope, and the density and hardness of the four samples were detected. The results show that the CuCr grain size is decreased with the milling time increasing, and nano-crystalline is observed in both Cu and Cr phase after 20 h milling. The density and hardness of samples are also increased with the increase of the milling time, so that the sample relative density reaches 96.6% and hardness reaches HV 217. The results indicate that high quality of CuCr bulk alloy can be manufactured using explosive compaction method when mechanical alloying and explosive compaction process parameters are reasonably selected.展开更多
