Quantum Key Distribution Scheme Based on Dense Encoding in Entangled States

A quantum key distribution protocol, based on the quantum dense encoding in entangled states, is presented. In this protocol, we introduce an encoding process to encode two classical bits information into one of the four one-qubit unitary operations implemented by Alice and the Bell states measurement implemented by Bob in stead of direct measuring the previously shared Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen pairs by both of the distant parties, Alice and Bob.Considering the practical application we can get the conclusion that our protocol has some advantages. It not only simplifies the measurement which may induce potential errors, but also improves the effectively transmitted rate of the generated qubits by the raw key. Here we also discuss eavesdropping attacks against the scheme and the channel loss.

Aggregation of Sodium Dodecyl Sulfonate in Poly-ethylene Glycol Aqueous Solutions Studied by Two-dimensional Nuclear Overhauser Enhancement Spectroscopy

Two-dimensional nuclear overhauser enhancement (2D NOESY)measurements show that sodium dodecyl sulfonate SDSN molecules co-aggregate with poly-ethylene glycol PEG in their aqueous solution at a concentration range of SDSN between the so-called co-aggregation concentration (cac) and the. Normal critical micellar concentration (cmc). SDSN micelles are formed when the cmc of SDSN is reached with PEG uniformly distributed in the interior.

Quantum Statistical Properties of k-Quantum Nonlinear Coherent States

In our preceding work, a class of k-quantum nonlinear coherent states, i.e., the k eigenstates of the powersBk (k ≥ 3) of the annihilation operator B=-a1/f(N) of f-oscillators, are introduced. In this paper, we introduce a newkind of higher-order squeezing and an antibunching effect. The quantum statistical properties of the k states are studied.The result shows that the M-th order [M = (n + 1/2)k; n = 0, 1,...] squeezing effects exist in all of the k states when kis even. There is the antibunching effect in all of the k states.

State-Independent Proofs of Bell＇s Theorem Without Inequalities and Bell Inequality for Four-Qubit System

A state-dependent proof of Bell's theorem without inequalities using the product state of any two maximally entangled states (Bell states) of two qubits for two observers in an ideal condition, each of which possesses two qubits,is proposed. It is different from the other proofs in which there exists a fundamental requirement that certain specific suitable Bell states have been chosen. Moreover, in any non-ideal situation, a common Bell inequality independent of the choices of the 16-product states is derived, which is used to test the contradiction between quantum mechanics and local reality theory in the reach of current experimental technology.

Tunneling Dynamics of Two-Species Molecular Bose-Einstein Condensates

We study tunneling dynamics of atomic group in two-species molecular Bose-Einstein condensates. It is shown that the tunneling of the atom group depends on not only the tunneling coupling constant between the atomic pair molecular condensate and the three-atomic group molecular condensate, but also the inter-molecular nonlinear interactions and the initial number of atoms in these condensates. It is discovered that besides oscillating tunneling current between the atomic pair molecular condensate and the three-atomic group molecular condensate, the nonlinear atomic group tunneling dynamics sustains a self-maintained population imbalance: a macroscopic quantum self-trapping effect.

A New Kind of k-Quantum Nonlinear Coherent States： Their Generation and PhysicalMeaning

A new kind of k-quantum nonlinear coherent states, i.e., the κ eigenstates of the κ-th power B^κ (κ>_ 3) of the generalized annihilation operator B=a 1/f(N) of f-oscillators, are obtained and their properties are discussed. The completeness of the κ states is investigated. An alternative method to construct them is proposed. It is shown that these states may form a complete Hilbert space, and all of them can be generated by a linear superposition of κ Roy-type nonlinear coherent states. Physically, they can be generated by a linear superposition of the time-dependent Roy-type nonlinear coherent states at different instants.

Bell＇s Theorem Without Inequalities for Arbitrarily High-Dimensional Fermionic System

A generalized proof of Bell's theorem without inequalities via the singlet state of two spin-(2n + 1)/2 fermionic particles for two observers is proposed. It is a direct and meaningful extension of that presented by A. Cabello [Phys. Rev. A67 (2003) 032107] and the proof from A. Cabello is included in our proof as a special example.

Coupled-channel cavity QED model and Semi-classical solution

A semi-classical scheme is presented to solve the coupled-channel cavity QED (CQED) model. Such model exhibits remarkable characteristics as shown by numerical calculations. A relation between the swing or angular velocity of the detuning and the motion of the atoms is discussed. With the augmentation of the optical field intensity or frequency, the atoms are trapped firstly and then they move stochastically and finally chaos sets in.
