The purpose of this study is to generate essential scientific information regarding the floristic composition and the structures of the ecotone vegetation in the natural forest Codrul Secular Slătioara, becau...The purpose of this study is to generate essential scientific information regarding the floristic composition and the structures of the ecotone vegetation in the natural forest Codrul Secular Slătioara, because so far no such studies have been carried out in this reserve. Also, the results of this study provide important data, which can be the basis for the development of strategies for the conservation and sustainable use of some herbaceous species, valuable due to genetic and socio-economic, respectively of a regular forest monitoring program. The floristic studies were carried out in the 2020 to 2021 vegetation season. Based on the specialized literature, plant species were identified and then processed from the point of view of bioforms, floristic elements and ecological indices. The economic categories in which the identified species fall were also analyzed. Thus, a total of 292 species belonging to 46 botanical families were identified and their distribution by ecosystems is as follows: in the forest, 90 species were identified, in the lands adjacent to the forest, in the meadows, 202 species were found and in the area of border, 120 species of vascular plants were identified. Most of the species identified in the study area are hemicryptophytes, heliophiles, and eurytherms, which grow on dry to moderately moist, eurytrophic soils. More than 50% of the identified species belong to several categories of useful plants (fodder, medicinal, melliferous, edible).展开更多

The experiments/measurements were of a simple nature, conducted in several o...Several simultaneous observations are presented of Syzygy effects during two solar eclipses, performed with torsinds and Foucault pendulums. The experiments/measurements were of a simple nature, conducted in several of places in Romania and Ukraine. It is shown that during Syzygy effects both the torsind and the Foucault pendulum exhibit specific reactions: the torsind’s disk is rotated, whereas the direction of the swing plane, the period, the eccentricity and the chirality of the ellipse of oscillation of the Foucault pendulum are all altered. We term all these perturbations “Syzygy effects” and found that they take place even when the devices are in locations where the eclipse is not visible and even when they are underground. An unusual time shifts?between the responses of the devices and the maximum phase of the eclipse is detected. The importance of simultaneous simple observations of astronomical phenomena using these two devices of fundamentally different types is emphasized.展开更多

The solution proposed and describedin this paper is addressed to all public and private institutions involved inthe fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, using recognized methods andstandards in this field. The Green-Epidemio is a platform adaptable to thespecific features of any public institution for disease management, based onopen-source software, allowing the adaptation, customization, and furtherdevelopment of “open-source” applications, according to the specificities ofthe public institution, the changes in the economic and social environment andits legal framework. The platform has a mathematical model for the spreadof COVID-19 infection depending on the location of the outbreaks so thatthe allocation of resources and the geographical limitation of certain areascan be parameterized according to the number and location of the real-timeidentified outbreaks. The social impact of the proposed solution is due to theplanned applications of information flow management, which is a first stepin improving significantly the response time and efficiency of people-operatedresponse services. Identifying patterns,recognition systems,prediction methods,and detection methods is a major challenge in solving different medical issues.Few categories of devices for personal and professional assessment of body com...Identifying patterns,recognition systems,prediction methods,and detection methods is a major challenge in solving different medical issues.Few categories of devices for personal and professional assessment of body composition are available.Bioelectrical impedance analyzer is a simple,safe,affordable,mobile,non-invasive,and less expensive alternative device for body composition assessment.Identifying the body composition pattern of different groups with varying age and gender is a major challenge in defining an optimal level because of the body shape,body mass,energy requirements,physical fitness,health status,and metabolic profile.Thus,this research aims to identify the statistical medical pattern recognition of body composition data by using a bioelectrical impedance analyzer.In previous studies,a pattern was identified for four indicators that concern body composition(e.g.,body mass index(BMI),body fat,muscle mass,and total body water).The novelty of our study is the fact that we identified a recognition pattern by using medical statistical methods for a body composition that contains seven indicators(e.g.,body fat,visceral fat,BMI,muscle mass,skeletal muscle mass,sarcopenic index,and total body water).The youth that exhibited the body composition pattern identified in our study could be considered healthy.Every deviation of one or more parameters outside the margins of the pattern for body composition could be associated with health issues,and more medical investigations would be needed for a diagnosis.BIA is considered a valid and reliable device to assess body composition along with medical statistical methods to identify a pattern for body composition according to the age,gender,and other relevant parameters.展开更多
This paper presents a study on the performance of flexible manufacturing systems(FMSs),by using discrete event system(DES) models,considering resource losses modelled by a parameter entitled coverage factor.We conclud...This paper presents a study on the performance of flexible manufacturing systems(FMSs),by using discrete event system(DES) models,considering resource losses modelled by a parameter entitled coverage factor.We conclude that the resources cell loss distribution between the tasks of a FSM is a real function that cannot be integrated,in order to calculate its primitive,in the classical sense of Riemann or Lebesgue,but only in the sense of Henstock-Kurzweil integral.Our result allows one to study more general processes where highly oscillatory functions occur.The method used to deduce the function describing the resources cell loss distribution is compared with a classical method related in the literature,respectively rational interpolants.An example has been constructed to emphasize what we believe to be,new approaches.展开更多
