The significances of join-detection of serum CA125, HE4, SMRP and cytokines IL-8, IL-17 in patients with epithelial ovarian cancer

Objective:To analyze the significances of join-detection of serum CA125, HE4, SMRP and cytokines IL-8, IL-17 in patients with epithelial ovarian cancer.Methods: A total of 83 patients with ovarian tumor from May 2013 to May 2016 in our hospital were selected. Among these, there are 41 patients with EOC and 42 patients with benign ovarian tumor. At the same time, 42 cases of healthy people from health examination department were selected as control group. Expression levels of the 3 tumor markers and the 2 cytokines were compared. The levels of the 5 markers in the clinical pathological types and clinical stages of EOC were analyzed.Results:Serum CA125, HE4, SMRP and cytokines IL-8, IL-17 in EOC group were (258.47±54.09) U/L, (237.41±12.48) pmol/L, (7.36±2.17) nmol/L, (76.33±9.73) ng/mL, (23.89±7.12) pg/mL, respectively, which were higher than that in the benign ovary tumor group and healthy control group significantly. And the difference was considered to be statistically significant.The comparison of indexes between benign ovary tumor group and healthy control group was not considered to be statistically significant. Serum CA125, HE4, SMRP and cytokines IL-8, IL-17 in EOC patients with Pathological III-IV stage were (382.45±40.74) U/L, (276.19±46.13) pmol/L, (9.36±3.11) nmol/L, (89.06±4.27) ng/mL, (33.52±2.63) pg/mL respectively, which were higher than that in EOC patients with Pathological I-II stage significantly. And the difference was considered to be statistically significant. Serum CA125, HE4, SMRP and cytokines IL-8, IL-17 in EOC patients with serous type was significantly higher than that in EOC patients with mucinous type. And CA125, HE4, IL-8 in EOC patients with serous type were significantly higher than that in EOC patients with endometrial type. And the difference was considered to be statistically significant. CA125, HE4, SMRP, IL-17 in EOC patients with endometrial type were higher than that in EOC patients with mucinous type. And the difference was considered to be statistically significant.Conclusion: The over expression of serum CA125, HE4, SMRP and cytokines IL-8, IL-17 in patients with epithelial ovarian cancer was related to pathological stage and pathological type, which is helpful to the early diagnosis and condition judgment.

Effect of Electroacupuncture on Anxiety and Craving in Heroin Addicts During Detoxification

Objective:To observe the effect of electroacupuncture at Jiaji (EX-B 2) points for anxiety and craving in heroin addicts during detoxification. Methods:A total of 60 cases were randomized into an electro-acupuncture group and a control group, 30 in each group. Cases in the electroacupuncture group were treated with electroacupuncture at Jiaji (EX-B 2) points, whereas cases in the control group were treated with Methadone and Doxepin. Then scores were graded using Zung self-rating anxiety score (SAS) and self-made visual analogue scale (VAS). The assessment was conducted once a day to record the adverse reactions. Results:After treatment, the SAS and VAS scores in the electro-acupuncture group were significantly lower than that in the control group (P<0.01). Conclusion:Electroacupuncture at Jiaji (EX-B 2) points can effectively alleviate anxiety and craving intensity in heroin addicts during detoxification.

Clinical Study on Surrounding Acupuncture for Herpes Zoster

Objective:To observe the clinical effects of the surrounding acupuncture for herpes zoster.Methods:Sixty patients with herpes zoster were randomly divided into two groups,a treatment group and a control group,30 cases in each.The cases in the treatment group were treated with surrounding acupuncture,intravenous infusion of Acyclovir and Ne-Ne laser radiation on the macular areas.While,those in the control group were treated with intravenous infusion of Acyclovir and topical application of Acyclovir ointment.The therapeutic effects were assessed in both groups after two courses of treatment.Results:The treatment group was obviously better than the control group in the effective rate,relief of blister,drying up of blister,relief of pain and time of complete relief of pain(P<0.05).Conclusion:Surrounding acupuncture,combined with intravenous infusion of Acyclovir and He-Ne laser radiation,is remarkable in the therapeutic effects for herpes zoster and worthy of clinical application.

Therapeutic Efficacy Observation on Combining Herbal Cake-partitioned Moxibustion with Plum- blossom Needle Therapy for Cervical Radiculopathy

Objective:To observe the clinical effect of combining Herbal cakepartitioned moxibustion with plum-blossom needle therapy for cervical radiculopathy.Methods:A total of 150 cases with cervical radiculopathy were randomly allocated into a treatment group(n=90)and a control group(n=60)at ratio of 3:2.Cases in the treatment group were treated with combining herbal cake-partitioned moxibustion with plum-blossom needle therapy,whereas cases in the control group were treated with combining Dan Shen(Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae)injection with traction.The therapeutic efficacies were evaluated by the third party after three courses of treatments.Results:The recovery and total effective rates in the treatment group were 51.1%and 97.8%respectively,versus 18.3%and 78.3%in the control group,showing statistically significant differences(both P<0.05).And there was a between-group statistical difference in the number of recovery cases in different courses of treatments(P<0.05).Conclusion:Combining herbal cake-partitioned moxibustion with plum-blossom needle therapy was more effective than combining Dan Shen(Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae)injection with traction for cervical radiculopathy,and it took effect more quickly.It is worth further popularization in clinic.

Observation on Therapeutic Effect of Mild Moxibustion plus Acupoint Injection for Optic Atrophy

Objective:To observe the clinical effect of mild moxibustion plus acupoint injection for optic atrophy.Methods:Ninety-four patients with optic atrophy were divided into a treatment group(51 cases)and a control group(43 cases).The treatment group was treated with mild moxibustion plus acupoint injection,and the control group was treated with medications.After three courses,the change of vision was observed.Results:The total effective rate was 82.4%in the treatment group and41.9%in the control group,with a statistical difference between the two groups(P<0.05).Conclusion:Moxibustion plus acupoint injection is an effective method to treat optic atrophy.

Observation on Clinical Effect of Superficial Needling for Intractable Humeral Epicondylitis

Objective:To observe the clinical effect of superficial needling for intractable humeral epicondylitis.Methods:Sixty cases in conformity with the inclusion criteria of intractable humeral epicondylitis were randomly divided into two groups,30 cases in each.The cases in the superficial needling group were treated by superficial needling plus moxibustion,while those in the electroacupuncture(EA)group were treated by EA plus moxibustion.After treatment,the improvement of the clinical symptoms and signs were compared between the two groups.Results:The curative rate was 80.0%and the total effective rate was 96.7% in the superficial needling group.The curative rate was 60.0%and the total effective rate was 83.3%in the EA group.The differences in the clinical effects between the two groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:The therapeutic effect of superficial needling plus moxibustion for intractable humeral epicondylitis is better than that of EA plus moxibustion.

Observation on Clinical Effect of Acupuncture for Allergic Rhinitis

Objective:To observe the clinical effect of acupuncture plus acupoint injection and laser radiation on the nasal cavity for allergic rhinitis.Methods:Ninety patients with allergic rhinitis were randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group,45 cases in each group.The treatment group was treated by acupuncture,acupoint injection method and He-Ne laser radiation on the nasal cavity.The control group was treated by Triamcinolone Acetonide nasal spray.The clinical effects were assessed after two courses of treatment.Results:The clinical curative rate was 88.9%and the total effective rate was 100.0%in the treatment group,versus 57.8%and 80.0%in the control group.The clinical curative rate and total effective rate were remarkably higher in the treatment group than those in the control group(P<0.05).In comparison of the therapeutic effects in the different courses between the two groups,the curative rates in the one course and two courses were higher in the treatment group than those in the control group(P<0.05).In the follow-up visit of the cured patients of the two groups for half a year,the recurrence rate was 2.5%in the treatment group versus 34.6%in the control group,with a statistical difference between the two groups(P<0.01).Conclusion:Acupuncture plus acupoint injection and laser radiation on the nasal cavity for allergic rhinitis has better clinical effect and long-term effect,and can obviously shorten the course,enhance the clinical effect and reduce the recurrence rate.

Effect of Acupuncture on NSE and Hcy Levels and Magnetic Resonance Spectrum in Cerebral Infarction Patients

Objective:To observe the effect of stage-based acupuncture on neuron specific enolase (NSE), homocysteine (Hcy) levels and magnetic resonance spectrum in patients with cerebral infarction. Methods:Ninety eligible subjects were randomized into two groups, 45 in each. The control group was intervened by conventional neurological medication, while the treatment group was by acupuncture according to different stages in addition to the conventional neurological medication. The therapeutic efficacy was evaluated after a treatment course. Results:The total effective rate was 97.8% in the treatment group versus 77.8% in the control group, and the treatment group was significantly superior to the control (P<0.01). In comparing the National Institutes of Health stroke scale (NIHSS) score, NSE and Hcy levels, the treatment group was lower than the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.01). The analysis of magnetic resonance spectrum revealed that the treatment group had a markedly higher N-acetyle-aspartate (NAA) concentration and lower lactic acid (Lac) concentration than the control group (P<0.01). Conclusion:Stage-based acupuncture significantly increases clinical efficacy and heals neurological function deficit, and its mechanism is possibly related to the decrease of NSE and Hcy levels, increase of NAA, and elimination of Lac.
