OBJECTIVE To examine the influence of tumor osseous metastasis on the patients undergoing autoiogous peripheral blood stem ceil collection. METHODS A total of 36 patients with malignant diseases who received an autoiogous peripheral blood stem ceil transplantation, during a period from April 2004 to June 2006, were chosen. The patients were divided into two groups, i.e. group A were patients with a complication of tumor osseous metastasis, and group B were without metastasis. Both groups were treated with Taxotere 120 mg/m^2 plus granuiocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) 5 μg/kg/d, for a mobilization regimen. A blood ceil separator was used to collect the mononuciear ceils. The proportion of harvested CD34+ ceils in the peripheral blood and the collected mononuciear ceils were detected by flow cytometry. The number of CD34+ ceils was used to determine the difference in the nature of the collections between the two groups. RESULTS After mobilization in groups A and B, the number of the peripheral blood mononuciear ceils (PBMC) was 39.3±14.7% and 41.1±12.4 % and the proportion of CD34+ ceils was 0.16±0.07% and 0.17±0.10%, respectively. Following administration of the drugs, there was no significant difference between the number of harvested PBMC and CD34+ cells of the two groups, i.e., 3.47±1.16×10^8/Kg and 2.52±1.43×10^6/Kg in group A and 4.02±1.31×10^8/Kg and 2.73±1.87×10^6/Kg in group B, respectively. CONCLUSION Osseous metastasis, as a single factor, may have no impact on mobilization and harvesting of hematopoietic stem ceils and their engraftment after autotransplantation. 展开更多

In this paper, the adaptive lifting scheme (ALS) and local gradient maps (LGM) are proposed to isolate the transient feature components from the gearbox vibration signals. Based on entropy minimization rule, the ALS is employed to change properties of an initial wavelet and design adaptive wavelet. Then LGM is applied to characterize the transient feature components in detail signal of decomposition results using ALS. In the present studies, the orthogonal Daubechies 4 (Db 4) wavelet is used as the initial wavelet. The proposed method is applied to both simulated signals and vibration signals acquired from a gearbox for periodic impulses detection. The two conventional methods (cepstrum analysis and Hilbert envelope analysis) and the orthogonal Db4 wavelet are also used to analyze the same signals for comparison. The results demonstrate that the proposed method is more effective in extracting transient components from noisy signals. 展开更多

Speckle noise has long been known as a limiting factor for the quality of an ultrasound B-mode image. In this study, anisotropic diffusion filtering is proposed as an effective method for ultrasound speckle reduction. This article provides a brief description of anisotropic diffusion filtering proposed by Perona and Malik, and compares its speckle filtering effects with other filtering methods including median, moving average, and frequency domain Gaussian low-pass.In this study, multiple filters are implemented in Matlab. For each filter, three different types of noisy images with speckle noise are tested. The results show that anisotropic filter can reduce the noise more effectively and meanwhile preserve the boundaries of the objects. In addition, this filter has more controllable filtering parameters and is independent on the information of the noise. 展开更多
