In this paper,distributed model predictive control(DMPC) for island DC micro-grids(MG) with wind/photovoltaic(PV)/battery power is proposed,which coordinates all distributed generations(DG) to stabilize the bus voltag...In this paper,distributed model predictive control(DMPC) for island DC micro-grids(MG) with wind/photovoltaic(PV)/battery power is proposed,which coordinates all distributed generations(DG) to stabilize the bus voltage together with the insurance of having computational efficiency under a real-time requirement.Based on the feedback of the bus voltage,the deviation of the current is dispatched to each DG according to cost over the prediction horizon.Moreover,to avoid the excessive fluctuation of the battery power,both the discharge-charge switching times and costs are considered in the model predictive control(MPC) optimization problems.A Lyapunov constraint with a time-varying steady-state is designed in each local MPC to guarantee the stabilization of the entire system.The voltage stabilization of the MG is achieved by this strategy with the cooperation of DGs.The numeric results of applying the proposed method to a MG of the Shanghai Power Supply Company shows the effectiveness of the distributed economic MPC.展开更多

In this paper, a model predictive control based ...Abstract--Vapor compression refrigeration cycle (VCC) system is a high dimensional coupling thermodynamic system for which the controller design is a great challenge. In this paper, a model predictive control based energy efficient control strategy which aims at maximizing the system efficiency is proposed. Firstly, according to the mass and energy conservation law, an analysis on the nonlinear relationship between superheat and cooling load is carried out, which can produce the maximal effect on the system performance. Then a model predictive control (MPC) based controller is developed for tracking the calculated setting curve of superheat degree and pressure difference based on model identified from data which can be obtained from an experimental rig. The proposed control strategy maximizes the coefficient of performance (COP) which depends on operating conditions, in the meantime, it meets the changing demands of cooling capacity. The effectiveness of the control performance is validated on the experimental rig. This paper presents a finite-time sideslip differentiator-based line-of-sight(LOS)guidance method for robust path following of snake robots.Firstly,finite-time stable sideslip differentiator and adaptive LOS guidance ...This paper presents a finite-time sideslip differentiator-based line-of-sight(LOS)guidance method for robust path following of snake robots.Firstly,finite-time stable sideslip differentiator and adaptive LOS guidance method are proposed to counteract sideslip drift caused by cross-track velocity.The proposed differentiator can accurately observe the cross-track error and sideslip angle for snake robots to avoid errors caused by calculating sideslip angle approximately.In our method,the designed piecewise auxiliary function guarantees the finite-time stability of position errors.Secondly,for the case of external disturbances and state constraints,a Barrier Lyapunov functionbased backstepping adaptive path following controller is presented to improve the robot’s robustness.The uniform ultimate boundedness of the closed-loop system is proved by analyzing stability.Additionally,a gait frequency adjustment-based virtual velocity control input is derived to achieve the exponential convergence of the tangential velocity.At last,the availability and superiority of this work are shown through simulation and experiment results.展开更多
Senile plaque blue autofluorescence was discovered around 40 years ago,however,its impact on Alzheimer’s disease(AD)pathology has not been fully examined.We analyzed senile plaques with immunohistochemistry and fluor...Senile plaque blue autofluorescence was discovered around 40 years ago,however,its impact on Alzheimer’s disease(AD)pathology has not been fully examined.We analyzed senile plaques with immunohistochemistry and fluorescence imaging on AD brain sections and also Aβ aggregation in vitro.In DAPI or Hoechst staining,the nuclear blue fluorescence could only be correctly assigned after subtracting the blue plaque autofluorescence.The flower-like structures wrapping dense-core blue fluorescence formed by cathepsin D staining could not be considered central-nucleated neurons with defective lysosomes since there was no nuclear staining in the plaque core when the blue autofluorescence was subtracted.Both Aβ self-oligomers and Aβ/hemoglobin heterocomplexes generated blue autofluorescence.The Aβ amyloid blue autofluorescence not only labels senile plaques but also illustrates red cell aggregation,hemolysis,cerebral amyloid angiopathy,vascular plaques,vascular adhesions,and microaneurysms.In summary,we conclude that Aβ-aggregation-generated blue autofluorescence is an excellent multi-amyloidosis marker in Alzheimer’s disease.展开更多
This paper addresses the problem of the semantic segmentation of large-scale 3D road scenes by incorporating the complementary advantages of point clouds and images.To make full use of geometrical and visual informati...This paper addresses the problem of the semantic segmentation of large-scale 3D road scenes by incorporating the complementary advantages of point clouds and images.To make full use of geometrical and visual information,this paper extracts 3D geometric features from a point cloud using a deep neural network for 3D semantic segmentation and extracts 2D visual features from images using a Convolutional Neural Network(CNN)for 2D semantic segmentation.In order to bridge the features of the two modalities,this paper uses superpoints as an intermediate representation to connect the 2D features with the 3D features.A superpoint-based pooling method is proposed to fuse the features from the two different modalities for joint learning.To evaluate the approach,the paper generates 3D scenes from the Virtual KITTI dataset.The results of the experiments demonstrate that the proposed approach is capable of segmenting large-scale 3D road scenes based on the compact and semantically homogeneous superpoints,and that it achieves considerable improvements over the 2D image and 3D point cloud semantic segmentation methods.展开更多
In generalized Nash equilibrium(GNE)seeking problems over physical networks such as power grids,the enforcement of network constraints and time-varying environment may bring high computational costs.Developing online ...In generalized Nash equilibrium(GNE)seeking problems over physical networks such as power grids,the enforcement of network constraints and time-varying environment may bring high computational costs.Developing online algorithms is recognized as a promising method to cope with this challenge,where the task of computing system states is replaced by directly using measured values from the physical network.In this paper,we propose an online distributed algorithm via measurement feedback to track the GNE in a time-varying networked resource sharing market.Regarding that some system states are not measurable and measurement noise always exists,a dynamic state estimator is incorporated based on a Kalman filter,rendering a closed-loop dynamics of measurement-feedback driven online algorithm.We prove that,with a fixed step size,this online algorithm converges to a neighborhood of the GNE in expectation.Numerical simulations validate the theoretical results.展开更多

The authors introduce an average...This paper considers the pose synchronization problem of a group of moving rigid bodies under switching topologies where the dwell time of each topology may has no nonzero lower bound. The authors introduce an average dwell time condition to characterize the length of time intervals in which the graphs are connected. By designing distributed control laws of angular velocity and linear velocity,the closed-loop dynamics of multiple rigid bodies with switching topologies can be converted into a hybrid dynamical system. The authors employ the Lyapunov stability theorem, and show that the pose synchronization can be reached under the average dwell time condition. Moreover, the authors investigate the pose synchronization problem of the leader-following model under a similar average dwell time condition. Simulation examples are given to illustrate the results.展开更多
