To Actively Perform the Judicial Administration Function and Promote the Development of Cause of Human Rights

Respect for human rights and protection of human rights are significant rules in the Constitution of the People’s Republic of China.In 2015,judicial administration departments at all levels legally exercised their duties,implemented the principles and rules in constitution,and kept strengthening propagation of human rights through creation of contents and methods which had acquired great effects.What they have done contributes significantly toward the development of human rights in China.

Informatization and the Protection of Human Rights in Prisons

With the constant de- velopment of modern science and technol- ogy, the information technologies--with computing tech- nology and the Internet as their core-- are widely used in prisons. This not only helps prisons, which are the units responsible for carrying out criminal punishment, to better accomplish the task of punishing and rehabilitating criminals, but also further strengthens efforts to protect the human rights of prisoners.

The Need for State Ideology in the State to Ensure Human Rights

Human society is not a history of ideas,as such,of the activities or the vicissitudes of destinies,the so-called historical personalities acting according to the arbitrariness of their mind and heart.The history of society has its“earthly basis”.This is,first of all,the history of the development of people,their existence,traditions of the people,spirituality,moral values,economic development,rules of conduct,laws of the country in which you live,in short,the ideology of the state and how it is presented by the authorities through the media.But in Russia,as stated in article 13 of the Constitution of the Russian Federation,"No ideology can be established as a state or mandatory."The same Constitution recognizes“ideological diversity”.Subsequent postulates of the same Constitution of the Russian Federation refute the foregoing.

Study of Volume,Weight and Size of Normal Pancreas,Spleen and Kidney in Adults Autopsies

Aims: 1) To establish the volume, weight and size of a normal pancreas, spleen and kidney in 114 adult male autopsies;2) To investigate the relationship between the volume, weight, and size of the pancreas, spleen, and kidney with body mass index (BMI), body surface area (BSA), age, height, and weight. Methods: The normal pancreas, spleen, and kidney volume, weight, and size retrospectively gathered from 114 forensic autopsy cases between the ages of 25 and 88 years. The pancreas, spleen, and kidney volume, weight, and size were available. The parameters used for statistical correlation were the age, height, body weight, BMI, and BSA of the deceased. Results: The volume, weight, and size of all the organs were shown in correlation with the deceased’s height, body weight, BMI, and BSA but not age. The organ volume, weight, and size showed a better statistical correlation with the BSA, BMI, and body weight than the height. Conclusions: The normal reference ranges for organ volume, weight, and size given in this study can serve as a standard to judge atrophy or hypertrophy of organs in post-mortem diagnosis.

World Judicial Experts Discuss Strategies for Eradicating Violence Against Children——Summary of Intergovernmental Experts Meeting in Bangkok

From February 18-21, 2014, a panel of experts, which was established by a resolution of the United Nations Economic and Social Council to draft exemplary strategies and implementation measures for eradicating violence against children in crime prevention and criminal judicature, convened in Bangkok, Thailand, for an intergovernmental experts meeting mainly to discuss the draft. After general discussion, delib- eration by the presidium and detailed negotiations, the meeting produced the report, ＂Exemplary Strategies and Implementation Measures for Eradicating Violence Against Children in Crime Prevention and Criminal Judicature.＂

The classification of handwriting features of the Kazakh language written in Latin script

In 2017,the Republic of Kazakhstan began the phased transition of its alphabet from Cyrillic to Latin script.This transition has presented significant challenges to Kazakhstani document examiners,who have yet to develop appropriate methodologies for the analysis of handwriting samples written in the Kazakh language using Latin letters.This study aims to identify distinguishing macro and micro features of letters within Kazakh writing samples produced using the Latin alphabet and determine their frequencies of occurrence and discriminating power indices.Micro features were examined using the four most frequently appearing letters:“a”,“y”,“e”and“n”.A comparative analysis of tested Latin letters with those of a similar configuration in Cyrillic demonstrated differences in the number of distinguishing features,as well as in the frequency of occurrence and discriminating power indices of similar features.These results show that separate statistical bases should be used for Latin and Cyrillic letters when analysing handwriting samples based on the frequencies of occurrence of micro and macro writing features.

Wildlife forensic examination in Russia:the practice and perspectives

Two case studies are described which show application of forensic expertise to establish important circumstances related to the investigation of the crimes against wildlife flora and fauna.Forensic study of the animal hair is a method for investigation of the crimes against wildlife objects which is used more frequently during the recent years.The perspectives of development of the new branch of forensic research in Russia are formulated,and the proposals and recommendations for developing the Eurasian wildlife flora and fauna network are formulated in this article.
