Background:As the most common iron metabolism and storage organ,the specific regulatory mechanism and prognostic relevance of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCc)need further study.Objective:We aimed to perform a multi-omics...Background:As the most common iron metabolism and storage organ,the specific regulatory mechanism and prognostic relevance of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCc)need further study.Objective:We aimed to perform a multi-omics integration and a ferroptosis-associated signature of HCC.Methods:Gene Expression Omnibus was searched for available data with ferroptosis inducers,and three independent datasets(GSE104462,GSE112384,and GSE142591)were collected.Multi-omic data with available clinical information of TCGA-LIHC and CHCC were retrieved from the Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA,http://cancergenome.nih.gov/)and iProX database(www.iprox.org,IPx0000937000).Integrated multi-omics analyses revealed the difference among biological functions,the activation status of key signaling pathways,tumor microenvironment,and sorafenib resistance in HCC.Single-sample gene set enrichment analysis(ssGSEA)identified a novel panel associated with clinical and molecular attributes,including survival,immune microenvironment,sorafenib resistance,genetic profile,liver-specific proteome,and phosphoproteome.Results:We performed a multi-omics integrationfor ferroptosis-associated characterization of HCC using paired tumor and adjacent liver tissues from 370 samples of TCGA.We proposed a novel panel including twelve genes that could reflect the prognosis and capacity of ferroptosis(ATAD2,DTL,DUT,E2F2,GINS2,FOXK1,MCM4,MCM5,MTHFD1,PHF19,POLA1,THOC6).Samples with high ferroptosis prognostic scores suggested significantly inferior survival(P=0.0028),a lower degree of ferroptosis(P<0.001),and greater ferroptosis induction capacity(P<0.001).Conclusion:The score in our study revealed the inherent state and further potential of ferroptosis in tumor cells,which also distinct features in tumor metabolism,microenvironment,clinical phenotype,and potential therapeutics.展开更多
Non-muscle invasive bladder cancer(NMIBC)is a major type of bladder cancer with a high incidence worldwide,resulting in a great disease burden.Treatment and surveillance are the most important part of NIMBC management...Non-muscle invasive bladder cancer(NMIBC)is a major type of bladder cancer with a high incidence worldwide,resulting in a great disease burden.Treatment and surveillance are the most important part of NIMBC management.In 2018,we issued“Treatment and surveillance for non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer in China:an evidencebased clinical practice guideline”.Since then,various studies on the treatment and surveillance of NMIBC have been published.There is a need to incorporate these materials and also to take into account the relatively limited medical resources in primary medical institutions in China.Developing a version of guideline which takes these two issues into account to promote the management of NMIBC is therefore indicated.We formed a working group of clinical experts and methodologists.Through questionnaire investigation of clinicians including primary medical institutions,24 clinically concerned issues,involving transurethral resection of bladder tumor(TURBT),intravesical chemotherapy and intravesical immunotherapy of NMIBC,and follow-up and surveillance of the NMIBC patients,were determined for this guideline.Researches and recommendations on the management of NMIBC in databases,guideline development professional societies and monographs were referred to,and the European Association of Urology was used to assess the certainty of generated recommendations.Finally,we issued 29 statements,among which 22 were strong recommendations,and 7 were weak recommendations.These recommendations cover the topics of TURBT,postoperative chemotherapy after TURBT,Bacillus Calmette–Guérin(BCG)immunotherapy after TURBT,combination treatment of BCG and chemotherapy after TURBT,treatment of carcinoma in situ,radical cystectomy,treatment of NMIBC recurrence,and follow-up and surveillance.We hope these recommendations can help promote the treatment and surveillance of NMIBC in China,especially for the primary medical institutions.展开更多
Objective: The aim of our study was to evaluate the efficacy of 89 Sr combined with Technetium [99Tc] Methylenediphosphonate Injection(99Tc-MDP) in the treatment of cancer pain in the advanced breast cancers with bone...Objective: The aim of our study was to evaluate the efficacy of 89 Sr combined with Technetium [99Tc] Methylenediphosphonate Injection(99Tc-MDP) in the treatment of cancer pain in the advanced breast cancers with bone metastases. Methods: A total of 80 patients with various degrees of bone pain due to multiple metastases of breast cancer were treated with 89 Sr combined with 99Tc-MDP. 89 Sr was given intravenously at 4m Ci on day 1 during the 3-month schedule. After 7 days, 99Tc-MDP was given at 22 mg/day on days 1–10 during the 1-month schedule, for 3 to 6 months. Results: The effective rate of relieving pain was 83.75%. The effective rate of curing bone metastases was 81.25%. So there was a significant improvement in the quality of life of the patients. Conclusion: 89 Sr combined with 99Tc-MDP are effective in the treatment of cancer pain in the breast cancers with bone metastasis, and can obviously repair the bone destruction caused by metastases, thereby improving the quality of life in advanced breast cancer patients with bone metastases.展开更多
Hypoglycemia occurred on hospitalized patients would result in severe complications.So we monitored the blood glucose of hospitalized patients with diabetes in 14 clinical departments from January to December 2013.Tot...Hypoglycemia occurred on hospitalized patients would result in severe complications.So we monitored the blood glucose of hospitalized patients with diabetes in 14 clinical departments from January to December 2013.Totally 105728 cases of blood glucose were monitored and 1374 cases of hypoglycemia were detected.The incidence of hypoglycemia was 1.29%.Among which,317 cases of severe hypoglycemia were detected and the incidence of severe hypoglycemia was 0.29%.The peak periods of hypoglycemia were 0:00~2:00,22:00~24:00,2:00~4:00,8:00~10:00 and 10:00~12:00.The symptomatic hypoglycemia accounted for 47.01%,The asymptomatic hypoglycemia accounted for 52.98%.The incidence of hypoglycemia was 1.49%in medical departments and 0.87%in surgical departments.It is suggested to be vigilant of high risk periods of hypoglycemia,detect and treat asymptomatic hypoglycemia timely and rationally administer antidiabetics to prevent hypoglycemia.展开更多
