Integrase strand transfer inhibitors(INSTIs)have emerged as the first‐line choice for treating human immunodeficiency virus(HIV)infection due to their superior efficacy and safety. However, the impact of INSTIs on the development of neuropsychiatric conditions in people living with HIV(PLWH)is not fully understood due to limited data.In this study,we conducted a cross‐sectional examination of PLWH receiving antiretroviral therapy, with a specific focus on HIV‐positive men who have sex with men(MSM)on INSTI‐based regimens(n=61)and efavirenz(EFV)‐based regimens(n=28).Participants underwent comprehensive neuropsychiatric evaluations and multimodal magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)scans, including T1‐weighted images and resting‐state functional MRI.Compared to the EFV group, the INSTI group exhibited primarily reduced gray matter volume(GMV)in the right superior parietal gyrus, higher regional homogeneity(ReHo)in the left postcentral gyrus, lower ReHo in the right orbital part of the inferior frontal gyrus, and increased voxel‐wise functional connectivity for the seed region in the left inferior temporal gyrus with clusters in the right cuneus.Furthermore, the analysis revealed a main effect of antiretroviral drugs on GMV changes, but no main effect of neuropsychiatric disorders or their interaction. The repeated analysis of participants who did not switch regimens confirmed the GMV changes in the INSTI group, validating the initial findings. Our study demonstrated gray matter atrophy and functional brain changes in PLWH on INSTI‐based regimens compared to those on EFV‐based regimens. These neuroimaging results provide valuable insights into the characteristics of brain network modifications in PLWH receiving INSTI‐based regimens。 展开更多

Ureaplasma Urealyticum(UU) can not only cause a wide range of nongonococcalinfectionsto urogenital tract, but also lead to infertility, sterility, intrauterinefetal infection, abortion or other bad consequences. For males,UU may cause prostatitis, epididymitis and other diseases. With great harm to the human health,UU infection has been taken as one of the most important STDs in China for prevention and cure. However, the drug resistance of UU is increasingly stronger with the widespread use of antibiotics. Many nongonococcal patients with mycoplasma infection often fail to be cured after a long time of treatment, and drug sensitive tests find that, multidrug resistance brings physical and mental pains to patients all the time.Luckily, integrated Chinese traditional and western medicine greatly improves the cure rate, though the mechanism is not clear. There have been many studies on the reversion action and mechanism of TCM on the antibiotic resistance of bacteria, but studies on the reversion to UU drug resistance are deficient. Here we chose some voluntary patients with multidrug resistance as the research objects, who received treatment in my hospital in recent 3 years. They were given the oral administration of self-prescribed Cangbai Shiduqing Granule. Then,Cangbai Shiduqing Granule's reversion effect on UU drug resistance, namely, the sensitivity transformation situation of drug-resistant antibiotics, was observed. And the observation results are presented in the paper. 展开更多

OBJECTIVE: To observe the clinical efficacy of Bushenjiangya(reinforcing kidney and lowering blood pressure) decoction in curing hypertension of kidney Qi deficiency type. METHODS: First 60 patients with hypertension of kidney Qi deficiency type were divided into control group and treatment group randomly; the conventional western medicine was given to patients of the control group for antihypertensive therapy, while the traditional Chinese medicine Bushenjiangya decoction was added for patients in the treatment group based on the therapy for those in control group; after 2 months, the blood pressure, clinical efficacy and urine microalbumin changes of patients in the two groups before and after the treatment were observed. RESULTS: a. The systolic pressure of patients in the two groups was all reduced obviously(P<0.05); b. The total effective rate of experiment group in antihypertensive effect was 76.7%, while that of control group was 83.3%(P>0.05); c. The total effective rate of experiment group in TCM syndrome effect was 86.7%, while that of control group was 63.3%, showing that the effect of experiment group was better than that of control group(P<0.05); d. The 24 h urine microalbumin reduction of experiment group was better than that of control group(P<0.05). CONCLUSIONS: The curative effect of Bushenjiangya decoction in combination with the western medicine is better than that of simple western medicine for hypertension of kidney Qi deficiency type, and also the urine microalbumin can be obviously reduced to protect the kidney function. 展开更多

Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a common and frequently encountered disease, which frequently appears in children. According to statistics, the percentage of AD patients between ages of 6 to 20 in dermatology clinics is 30%^1, and the incidence in school-age children is 2%-3%^2. AD has no corresponding nomenclature in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). According to the initial time of attack in early childhood, it cma be classified as NaiXuan and TaiXuan; according to the location of the disease (elbow fossa and popliteal fossa), it can be classified as SiWanFeng; according to the specific cases of different characteristics of lesions, it can be classified as ShiChuang, JinYinchuang, XueFengChuang. In TCM, the etiology of AD is complicated. It is generally considered that the pathogenesis of AD is spleen deficiency and damp-heat^3. When children suffer from pathogenic wind, pathogenic dampness, pathogenic heat, or insufficient natural endowment, damp-heat is produced and it injures patients' skin. Also latent damp-heat can deplete the blood and succus in the body, dry the skin and lead to AD. In short, AD can be divided into 3 syndrome types in TCM: syndrome of spleen deficiency, syndrome of damp-heat, syndrome of blood deficiency. At present, the clinical study of AD treated by TCM is increasing, but the study of children's treatment is still rare. This article aims to make a summary of clinical studies of children's AD treated with TCM in recent years. 展开更多

Mitophagy is one of the important targets for the prevention and treatment of myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury(MIRI).Moderate mitophagy can remove damaged mitochondria, inhibit excessive reactive oxygen species accumulation, and protect mitochondria from damage. However, excessive enhancement of mitophagy greatly reduces adenosine triphosphate production and energy supply for cell survival, and aggravates cell death. How dysfunctional mitochondria are selectively recognized and engulfed is related to the interaction of adaptors on the mitochondrial membrane, which mainly include phosphatase and tensin homolog deleted on chromosome ten(PTEN)-induced kinase 1/Parkin,hypoxia-inducible factor-1α/Bcl-2 and adenovirus e1b19k Da interacting protein 3,FUN-14 domain containing protein 1 receptor-mediated mitophagy pathway and so on.In this review, the authors briefly summarize the main pathways currently studied on mitophagy and the relationship between mitophagy and MIRI,and incorporate and analyze research data on prevention and treatment of MIRI with Chinese medicine, thereby provide relevant theoretical basis and treatment ideas for clinical prevention of MIRI. 展开更多
