National Maritime Museum collects and displays maritime culture and civilization of China, it is a signifi cant cultural facility in New Binhai District of Tianjin. The museum shows us the splendid picture of yel ow terrestrial civilization and blue maritime civilization over the past 2,000 years in China. Landscape design outside the exhibition hall of the museum has the integration of culture and museum as the starting point, and makes brand-new explorations in landscape humanistic care and landscape designs of green buildings. 展开更多

Vertical Upheaval Buckling of Submarine Buried Heated Pipelines with Initial Imperfection 被引量:2

In this paper,a theoretical solution of vertical buckling is proposed with regard to the typical initial imperfection cases of submarine pipelines.Analytical tools are applied to predicting the occurrence and consequence of inservice buckling of a buried heated pipeline in Bohai Gulf.An evaluation is performed to ensure the pipeline structural integrity during operation under loading conditions.Different protection measures are proposed and their validities are analyzed.Analyses show that for the same magnitude of initial imperfection,the upheaval buckling of pipeline with isolated prop model is the most likely to occur.The empathetic model represents a special sub-case of continuous prop model,and the calculated buckle temperature is between the first stage and the second stage of post-upheaval buckling of continuous prop model.And the larger the initial imperfection,the less the axial force required for the upheaval buckling.Meanwhile,it can be seen that a peak point appears on the curves of temperature difference against buckling amplitude for small initial imperfection.Besides,trenching-burial is one kind of protection measures preventing the pipeline from thermal upheaval.The covered depth-to-diameter ratio depends on the design conditions and subsoil properties.For the given pipeline in this paper,the covered depth-to-diameter ratio is recommended to be 5. 展开更多

Determination of Wind Pressure Coefficients for Arc-Shaped Canopy Roof with Numerical Wind Tunnel Method

In this paper,the wind load on an arc-shaped canopy roof was studied with numerical wind tunnel method(NWTM) .Three-dimensional models were set up for the canopy roof with opened or closed skylights.The air flow around the roof under wind action from three directions was analysed respectively.Wind pressure coefficients on the canopy roof were determined by NWTM.The results of NWTM agreed well with those of wind tunnel test for the roof with opened skylights,which verified the applicability and rationality of NWTM.The effect of the closure of skylights was then investigated with NWTM.It was concluded that the closure of the skylights may increase the wind suction on the top surface of the roof greatly and should be considered in the structure design of the canopy roof. 展开更多

Machine learning techniques have attracted more attention as advanced data analytics in building energy analysis.However,most of previous studies are only focused on the prediction capability of machine learning algorithms to provide reliable energy estimation in buildings.Machine learning also has great potentials to identify energy patterns for urban buildings except for model prediction.Therefore,this paper explores energy characteristic of London domestic properties using ten machine learning algorithms from three aspects:tuning process of learning model;variable importance;spatial analysis of model discrepancy.The results indicate that the combination of these three aspects can provide insights on energy patterns for urban buildings.The tuning process of these models indicates that gas use models should have more terms in comparison with electricity in London and the interaction terms should be considered in both gas and electricity models.The rankings of important variables are very different for gas and electricity prediction in London residential buildings,which suggests that gas and electricity use are affected by different physical and social factors.Moreover,the importance levels for these key variables are markedly different for gas and electricity consumption.There are much more important variables for electricity use in comparison with gas use for the importance levels over 40.The areas with larger model discrepancies can be determined using the local spatial analysis based on these machine learning models.These identified areas have significantly different energy patterns for gas and electricity use.More research is required to understand these unusual patterns of energy use in these areas. 展开更多

Radiant ceiling cooling panels require an accurate and sensitive control system to avoid condensation;this is achieved by adjusting the temperature of radiant ceiling panels in adequate time.This study investigated a prediction model for the dew-point temperature of the attached air layer of the radiant ceiling cooling panels.When the number and position of people indoors change,the model can predict the change in dew-point temperature of the attached air layer for the purpose of adjusting the panel temperature in time to prevent condensation.The influence of different factors on the air dew-point temperature was investigated in this study.The relationship between the main influencing factor and the predicted dew-point temperature of the attached air layer was obtained,and experimental data were used to verify the simulation model.The results show that the distance from the person to the attached air layer,as well as the number of people,have a great influence on the dew-point temperature of the attached air layer.The prediction model of the air dew-point temperature takes the form of a negative exponential function.The distance from the person to the attached air layer is most affected by the prediction model's increase rate of the air dew-point temperature and value of the stable time. 展开更多
