Analysis of the Main Characteristics of the Population in the Mariovo Region as Part of the Crna Reka Basin in the Republic of Macedonia

In the scientific paper,the demographic discharge is treated as the main problem where the Mariovo region is located in the South-eastern part of the Republic of Macedonia,a region that covers an area of 828 km2,in which the Municipality of Vitoliste covers a total area of 495 km2 and the Municipality of Staravina with a total area of 333 km2,a region in which there are 25 village settlements,the Municipality of Vitolishte has 14 villages and the Staravina Municipality has 11 villages,a region that lost more than 95%of its population in the period from 1961 to 2002,through various migrations to the closer cities in the state and part left as economic migrants in other countries.The purpose of this scientific paper is to provide answers to questions as how to stop the devastation of this region and how to revitalize this region and make people return to live in this space again.Methods of study used include:geographical methods,statistical-mathematical methods,cartographic methods,information methods,cabinet-laboratory methods,and field researches that were made in the period from May to June 2003.The paper deals with the following:the numerical and natural movement of the population,migrations,population by age and gender,territorial distribution of the population,national structure,and educational characteristics of the population.At the end of the research,the findings include the reasons,consequences and measures for its revitalization in the next 10 years of the Mariovo region as part of the Crna Reka basin in the Republic of Macedonia.

Economic Cost-Effectiveness of the Implementation of the Quality Standard ISO 9001 in the Health Sector

The quality standard ISO 9001 helps and enables organizations, regardless of the sector where they exist, to implement the quality management properly. Recent years have attracted attention to the possibilities of implementing this standard in the health sector and the economic viability of that long-term investment. Health care organizations are recognizing the value system that combines all the criteria for managing quality, including management of business, compliance and management of procedural steps, and most importantly, the total quality management. In general, the implementation of ISO 9001：2008 standard for quality in health care institutions is seen as an opportunity to improve the quality of health care, and the entire process is to be completed by reducing costs and improving services in the sector. The implementation of a quality standard is directed towards patients, medical staff, and management in order to achieve reduction and complete relief from the pain, correct and professional services, conducted services with an appropriate skilled and professional care to obtain results that are comparable to known standards, and protection services with appropriate insurance policies, and the management expects the implementation of a quality system to justify and return their investments. The methods used in this paper are based on the quality standard ISO 9001：2008--Quality Management System and the Guidelines for Improving Performance, developed based on ISO 9004：2000： Quality Management System-43uidelines for Continuous Improvement. These guidelines contain a big part of the text in ISO 9004：2000, but they are supplemented with specific guidelines for their implementation in the health sector. The implementation of the system and monitoring guidelines evidently contributes to the overall resolution and closure of problems in over 50% of cases. This not only results in saving money for the institution, but it also globally leads to reduced variations in the healing process. Expected benefits from implementing the system in the health care sector in the Republic of Macedonia relate to providing a substantial foundation for obtaining all the necessary facilities and reduction of the costs by reducing the inappropriate staff in exactly determined departments. Implementation of future accreditation processes can be accomplished in a much shorter period of time, especially when there is good communication and cooperation among the departments. Improved working systems, processes, and final results inevitably contribute to happy and healthy patients.

Influence of Social Determinants in Preference of Public Audience at Music Performances in the Republic of Macedonia

This paper displays the results of a survey of public music performances held during 2010 in Skopje, the capital of the Republic of Macedonia. Study of the audience of public musical events was limited only to the number of visitors. Field research included 653 musical events with a total of 545,340 visitors grouped into eight categories according to the preference by genres of music preference, age, status symbol, origin of the performers, space, and organizers. Our experience in monitoring public musical events through personal presence, the recorded materials, and the continuous monitoring of information from electronic and print media, enabled us to record events and to build some initial comments and assumptions about the structure of the audience and music preference. We have chosen to consider the impact of the sociological determinants on the preference of the audience in the public musical performances through the music genres, the age, the status symbol, the origin of the performers, the area of maintenance, and the organizers of musical events. According to the genre distribution, classical music events prevail, and the greatest numbers of visitors are registered at the pop rock concerts. The structure of the audience according to the age varies depending on the musical genre, so the widest age structure covers the events of pop rock music.

Fire-Needle Acupuncture Treatment in Scapular Muscle Fasciitis

The scapula (shoulder blade) is a large triangular-shaped bone located in the upper back and includes two muscles on each side. The scapula is surrounded and supported by a complex system of muscles that work together to help in the arm movement. If some condition or injury causes these muscles to become imbalanced or weak, the position of the scapula can be altered at rest or in motion. A change in the scapular positioning or motion can make difficulties in the arm movement, especially when performing overhead activities and may cause shoulder weakness. Acupuncture treatment as part of the Traditional Chinese Medicine is most commonly used treatment for treating musculoskeletal disorders. In the treatment of scapular muscle fasciitis the fire-needle acupuncture gave the fastest and best results in our practice. The aim of the treatment is to break up the scar tissue and the adhesions which commonly form at the site, to relax the levator scapula muscle and restore local normal blood and energy flow. In the research are included 13 patients, 6 male and 7 female, on age from 24 to 70. All patients had scapular pain and on all was performed fire-needle acupuncture. Most common age groups are 50 - 60, most patients have pain on the right scapula and most of them—9 have done only one treatment. A long-term problem with the scapula muscle can be resolved with only one fire-needle acupuncture treatment.
