We apply this method in Albania during the period from January 2005 to December 2014. Some results of the study include: (1) The Central Limit Theorem (CLT) is not applicable for the quarterly inflation rate as well as for quarterly unemployment rate in Albania during the period from January 2005 to December 2014 at the confidence level of 99.99%. The official data for inflation and unemployment contradict the CLT at a very high confidence level of 99.99%; (2) The inflation process in Albania during the period from January 2005 to December 2014 is an unfair game at the confidence level of 99.2%; (3) The unemployment process in Albania during the period from January 2005 to December 2014 is an unfair game at the confidence level of 99.99%; (4) The inflation and unemployment in Albania during the period from January 2005 to December 2014 are statistically dependent at the 96% confidence level; (5) Spearman's correlation coefficient = 0.387 indicates a weak positive correlation between inflation and unemployment in Albania during the specified period; and (6) The official data for inflation and unemployment in Albania during the period from January 2005 to December 2014 are consistent with Friedman's hypothesis.展开更多

That study, on milk, revealed four distinct mind-sets, groups of respondents who thought alike. These are: S1 Traditional + Health, S2 Traditional + Healthful Ingredients, $3 Traditional + Indulgent, S4 Listens to Authority, respectively. At that time the focus on foods as the source of health and wellness was just beginning. We show how to discover hitherto new, unexpected mind-sets of respondents, using experimental design of messaging, coupled with deconstruction of these messages by regression, and followed by clustering. We suggest that this approach to messaging consumers using experimental design provides a powerful method to uncover emerging mind-sets in the consumer population.展开更多

The scientific method used in this study (received from the Modern Criminology) has great investigative power and it is widely applicable. Hopefully the practical application of this study will increase greatly the probability of detection and punishment of the clients who are implicated in the process of money laundering. In particular, this study will be useful for banks, Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) of Albania, Department of Economic Crime at the Ministry of Domestic Affairs and Albanian State Intelligence Service (SIS). Also, the investigation of money laundering will be a useful tool to detect other crimes, such as drug trafficking, human trafficking, illegal arms trade, etc. The prevention of money laundering is simultaneously a powerful strike against terrorism both on national and international levels.展开更多

For the consumer, “what to believe” becomes a topic filled with uncertainty. This paper presents a systematic approach to understanding what consumers believe about the health messaging of “raw beverages”. The paper presents both substantive results from US consumers, as well as demonstrates a general approach by which researchers can more deeply understand the consumer mind with respect to the specifics of health and wellness issues.展开更多

The main result of the study: there is a negative correlation between money laundering process and economic growth rate in Albania during the specified period;there is a negative correlation between money laundering and import, but there is a positive correlation between money laundering and the government expenditure, as well a positive correlation between money laundering and export.展开更多
