Studies in the field based on medical rehability performed by a full team such as doctors, physiotherapists and psychologists and not only have shown that the link between the patient’s psychological state and exercise are factors in full dependence and any imbalance can trigger irreparable effects. Psychology is the science that studies the laws of formation, development, functioning and deficiencies related to psychism;it includes a series of fundamental concepts that include: psychic processes, psychic phenomena, psychic attributes, psychic states or psychic activities. Psychic phenomena are the component elements of psychism. In a sense, the psychic phenomena are manifested by external facts, by our behavior, by the motor actions started, by gestures or verbal actions;in the other sense, psychic phenomena are manifested by inner deeds, as the form of ideas, images, feelings, and desires. The motor acts without psychism would be only simple automatisms, without human specifications of adaptation, while the psychism without motor acts would be deprived of the fundamentals of formation and functioning as well as of its production mechanisms. Objective: The objective of this study is to highlight the causal problems of delayed medical recovery in relation to the psychological and emotional factors. This desktop review aims to identify psychoemotional disorders in the case of subjects with operated lumbar disc herniation and aims to adapt a specialized physiotherapeutic protocol by adapting to CIF. The result of this study will be found in the percentage of socio-professional reintegration of the subjects with operated lumbar disc herniation and implicitly the increase in the quality of life. Conclusions: 1) For an effective functional recovery, a psycho-emotional balance is needed;2) A positive attitude actively influences medical rehabilitation;3) Regaining physical, cognitive and social activities depend on the degree of psycho-emotional impairment. .展开更多

Methods: Twenty-six healthy male students received either R. rosea extract (600 mg/day; RR) or placebo (PL) in a randomized double-blind trial. Prior to supplementation (Term I) and following 4 weeks of supplementation (Term II), the students underwent psychomotor tests for simple and choice reaction time, included in the Vienna Test System. Also, the subjects performed VO2peak test. Blood samples were obtained before and after the test to measure the hormonal profile (cortisol, testosterone, and growth hormone), as well as the biomarkers of oxidative stress (lipid hydroperoxides, total antioxidant capacity, and superoxide dismutase) and muscle damage (creatine kinase). Results: R. rosea ingestion shortened reaction time and total response time. Moreover, a greater relative increase in the number of correct responses was observed in RR group as compared to the PL group. No changes in endurance exercise capacity and hormonal profile were observed after R. rosea ingestion. R. rosea ingestion raised plasma total antioxidant capacity. It did not, however, affect other measured parameters. Conclusion: Chronic R. rosea ingestion does not affect physical performance, but can improve the results of some psychomotor tests (simple and choice reaction time) in young, healthy, and physically active men. The improvements in mental performance, however, at least in our study, seem not to be related to changes in cortisol release or antioxidant activity of R. rosea extract. Thus, the specific mechanisms responsible for these effects still need to be elucidated.2018 Published by Elsevier B.V. on behalf of Shanghai University of Sport. However, knowledge about FTO's potential modifying effect on changes in body weight achieved through a training program is still limited. We decided to study the association between the FTO A/T polymorphism (rs9939609) and obesity-related traits. Additionally, we investigated whether body mass and body composition, as well as metabolic variables observed in physically active participants, are modulated by the FTO polymorphism. Methods: A group of 201 young Polish women were recruited for the study. The genotype distribution was examined in participants measured for selected changes before and after the completion of a 12-week training program. Results: Our results confirm the association between the common FTO A/T polymorphism and increased body mass index (BMI). Subjects with AA and AT genotypes had higher BMI during the entire study period compared with the TT genotype. Although parameters such as BMI, basal metabolism rate, tissue independence, fat mass percentage, fat mass, fat-free mass, total body water, high-density lipoprotein, and glucose changed significantly during the training program, none of the examined parameters changed significantly across the FTO genotypes (genotype × training interaction). Conclusion: We confirm an association between the FTO A/T polymorphism and increased BMI; this polymorphism is therefore a candidate for influencing obesity and other disease-related phenotypes. Although the gene x physical activity interaction was not shown, we want to point out that promoting physical activity is an important approach to controlling the increasing obesity epidemic.2018 Published by Elsevier B.V. on behalf of Shanghai University of Sport. However, few studies have presented in vivo kinematic data of the trunk while performing functional lateral bending tasks. Five healthy male subjects performed lateral lifting and lowering tasks under loading condition ranging from light (2kg) to 100 % of a maximum (ML) at a controlled velocity. Single lowering tasks were also performed at 125% and 150% of ML. Video based movement analysis was used to determine kinematics of the trunk, pelvis, shoulders and neck in the frontal plane. Centre of pressure (COP) data was also obtained from a force platform on which the subjects stood when performing the lifting and lowering tasks. Kinematics of the trunk revealed a smooth and relatively large change in angular displacement (between 69°to 55°) toward the unloaded side during the lifting phase. Trunk angular displacement significantly decreased with increasing lifting load. The trunk was additionally divided into four segments representing the lower and upper lumbar regions and the lower and upper thoracic regions. The greatest displacement in these segments took place at the upper lumbar and lower thoracic regions (ranging from 29°to 22°and 23°to 17°, respectively) with the least displacement occurring in the lower lumbar and upper thoracic regions (approx. 6° and 5°, respectively). Both the upper lumbar and lower thoracic segments showed significant decreases in angular displacement with increasing load. During the single lowering trials the trunk rotated toward the loaded side with slightly less magnitude to that recorded during the lowering phase of the heaviest lifting and lowering conditions. Angular displacements of the upper lumbar and lower thoracic segments also decreased with increasing load in single lowering. Identified changes in the COP displacement were also correlated to increasing lifting and lowering load. The main findings of this study indicate that it is the central sections of the trunk that have the greatest motion展开更多

Associations between these variables provide information about their roles in cardiovascular disease. However, evaluating these associations from a gender perspective and gaining an understanding of the relationship between cardiorespiratory fitness and AIx based on gender can provide additional information. Therefore, we examined the relationships between CVT, measured as the log transformed high-frequency power of R-R intervals from electrocardiogram measurements (lnHFR-R);cardiorespiratory fitness, measured as maximum oxygen consumption (VO2max);and AIx at a heart rate of 75 beats·min-1(AIx@75). We hypothesized that the relationships between CVT, cardiorespiratory fitness, and AIx@75 would differ based on gender. Methods: We examined the associations between lnHFR-R, VO2max, and AIx@75 in 41 women and 39 men. Power spectral density analysis of heart rate variability determined lnHFR-R, radial tonometry determined AIx@75 and the Bruce Treadmill Protocol determined VO2max. Results: In men, lnHFR-R positively correlated with and significantly predicted AIx@75 (P = 0.005) but not in women (P = 0.49). For every unit increase in lnHFR-R, there was a 4.6 unit increase in AIx@75 in men versus a 1.0 unit increase in women. There was a significant inverse relationship between VO2max and AIx@75, with VO2max being a significant predictor of AIx@75 in men (P = 0.01). For every unit increase in VO2max, there was a 0.60 unit decrease in AIx@75 in men versus a 0.2 unit decrease in women. Conclusions: The associations between CVT and AIx@75 and between cardiorespiratory fitness and AIx@75 differ by gender. CVT and cardiorespiratory fitness are significant predictors of AIx@75 in men but not in women.展开更多

Results: R. rosea ingestion shortened reaction time and total response time. 文摘Cells are constantly subjected to cytotoxic and genotoxic insults resulting in the accumulation of unrepaired damaged DNA,which leads to neuronal death. In this way,DNA damage has been implicated in the pathogenesis of neurological disorders, cancer, and aging.Lifestyle factors, such as physical exercise, are neuroprotective and increase brain function by improving cognition, learning, and memory,in addition to regulating the cellular redox milieu.Several mechanisms are associated with the effects of exercise in the brain, such as reduced production of oxidants,up-regulation of antioxidant capacity, and a consequent decrease in nuclear DNA damage.Furthermore, physical exercise is a potential strategy for further DNA damage repair. However, the neuroplasticity molecules that respond to different aspects of physical exercise remain unknown. In this review,we discuss the influence of exercise on DNA damage and adjacent mechanisms in the brain. We discuss the results of several studies that focus on the effects of physical exercise on brain DNA damage.
文摘Lateral bending of the trunk has been specifically identified as a high risk factor for lower back disorders. The main findings of this study indicate that it is the central sections of the trunk that have the greatest motion
文摘Certified agricultural standards (CAS) of the organic food label serve to increase food safety and restore the confidence and consumption level in Taiwan. The organic CAS represents food quality without the use of synthetic chemicals to protect consumers' health. As a consequence, production costs and consumer prices have increased. The aim of this study is to analyze consumers' perception of the organic CAS label and how purchasing behavior for the product is influenced by converting the Fresh Milk Logo to the organic CAS certified label, which is based on contingent behavior analysis. This study adopts factor analysis to extract the perceptions and preferences of the respondents. In addition, the on-site Poisson model to revise the truncated and endogenous stratification and assess consumer welfare precision. The incremental consumer surplus for consumer consumed organic fresh milk is approximately NT$8,979.
文摘For middle age individuals (male), it may be difficult to find motivation for suitable exercise training, which has similarly favorable characteristics for cardiovascular adaptations as other exercises performed by younger individuals. Fifty four (n = 54); (age = 41.57±3.25) untrained, overweight (F% = 19.52 ± 5.6), range of (12.6-30.6), (visceral fat area (VFA) = 111.1 cm^-2) healthy male (they are managers in four different Banks) were taking part in this research program. The participants took part on preliminary cardiac examination (echocardiography, GE Vivid 9 ultrasound machine. Body composition measured with type of "InBody720" (Biospace Co. Inc., Seoul, South Korea) Bioelectrical Impedance Analyzer (BIA). The heart rate of the participants was measured continuously during all training sessions using heart rate belts (POLAR Team System, Finland). Pulmonary gas exchange "Cardiosoft", (Milwaukee, USA were measured during a standardized treadmill test. Results: In many cases of the free indoor soccer play (FISP) recorded extremely high pulse rate, which is compared with the laboratory high pulse rate (LHPR), much higher than the recommended physiological load level HR(FISP) 〉 190 beat/min; HR(LHPR) = 175 beat/min ; P 〈 0.001. Despite the many advantages of the Free Indoor Football Play (FISP) are hiding a lot of dangerous in the terms of circulatory adaptation.
文摘Purpose: Aortic augmentation index (AIx) and cardiovagal tone (CVT) are indicators of cardiovascular health. CVT and cardiorespiratory fitness are significant predictors of AIx@75 in men but not in women.
