This method isapplied to the classical Boussinesq hierarchy to obtain the Miura type transformation and themodified classical Boussinesq hierarchy. It is also used to construct a large hierarchy of evolutionequations which possess the Paiuleve property and include the classical Boussinesq the JaulentMiodek, the dispersive long wave hierarchy as special cases.
