Bamboo is known for its edible shoots and beautiful texture and has considerable economic and ornamental value.Unique among traditional flowering plants,many bamboo plants undergo extensive synchronized flowering followed by large-scale death,seriously affecting the productivity and application of bamboo forests.To date,the molecular mechanism of bamboo flowering characteristics has remained unknown.In this study,a SUPPRESSOR OF OVEREXPRESSION OF CONSTANS1(SOC1)-like gene,BoMADS50,was identified from Bambusa oldhamii.BoMADS50 was highly expressed in mature leaves and the floral primordium formation period during B.oldhamii flowering and overexpression of BoMADS50 caused early fl owering in transgenic rice.Moreover,BoMADS50 could interact with APETALA1/FRUITFULL(AP1/FUL)-like proteins(BoMADS 14-1/2,BoMADS15-1/2)in vivo,and the expression of BoMADS50 was signi ficantly promoted by BoMADS14-1,further indicating a synergistic effect between BoMADS50 and BoAP1/FUL-like proteins in regulating B.oldhamii flowering.We also identi fi ed four additional transcripts of BoMADS50(BoMADS50-1/2/3/4)with different nucleotide variations.Although the protein-CDS were polymorphic,they had flowering activation functions similar to those of BoMADS50.Yeast one-hybrid and transient expression assays subsequently showed that both BoMADS50 and BoMADS50-1 bind to the promoter fragment of itself and the SHORT VEGETATIVE PHASE(SVP)-like gene BoSVP,but only BoMADS50-1 can positively induce their transcription.Therefore,nucleotide variations likely endow BoMADS50-1 with strong regulatory activity.Thus,BoMADS50 and BoMADS50-1/2/3/4 are probably important positive flowering regulators in B.oldhamii.Moreover,the functional conservatism and speci ficity of BoMADS50 and BoMADS50-1 might be related to the synchronized and sporadic flowering characteristics of B.oldhamii. 展开更多

Green fl uorescent protein(GFP)has been widely used for monitoring gene expression and protein localization in diverse organisms.However,highly sensitive imaging equipment,like fl uorescence microscope,is usually required for the visualization of GFP,limitings its application to fi xed locations in samples.A reporter that can be visualized in realtime regardless the shape,size and location of the target samples will increase the fl exibility and ef fi ciency of research work.Here,we report the application of a GFP-like protein,called eYGFPuv,in both transient expression and stable transformation,in two herbaceous plant species(Arabidopsis and tobacco)and two woody plant species(poplar and citrus).We observed bright fl uorescence under UV light in all of the four plant species without any effects on plant growth or development.eYGFPuv was shown to be effective for imaging transient expression in leaf and root tissues.With a focus on in vitro transformation,we demonstrated that the transgenic events expressing 1x eYGFPuv could be easily identi fi ed visually during the callus stage and the shoot stage,enabling early and ef fi cient selection of transformants.Furthermore,whole-plant level visualization of eYGFPuv revealed its ubiquitous stability in transgenic plants.In addition,our transformation experiments showed that eYGFPuv can also be used to select transgenic plants without antibiotics.This work demonstrates the feasibility of utilizing 1x eYGFPuv in studies of gene expression and plant transformation in diverse plants. 展开更多

Solar-blind ultraviolet(UV)photodetectors(PDs)have attracted tremendous attention in the environmental,industrial,military,and biological fields.As a representative Ill-nitride material,AlGaN alloys have broad development prospects in the field of solar-blind detection due to their superior properties,such as tunable wide bandgaps for intrinsic UV detection.In recent decades,a variety of AlGaN-based PDs have been developed to achieve high-precision solar-blind UV detection.As integrated optoelectronic technology advances,AlGaN-based focal plane arrays(FPAs)are manufactured and exhibit outsta nding solar-blind imaging capability.Con sidering the rapid development of AlGaN detection techniques,this paper comprehensively reviews the progress on AlGaN-based solar-blind UV PDs and FPAs.First,the basic physical properties of AlGaN are presented.The epitaxy and p-type doping problems of AlGaN alloys are then discussed.Diverse PDs,including photoconductors and Schottky,metal-semiconductor-metal(MSM),p-i-n,and avalanche photodiodes(APDs),are dem on strated,and the physical mechanisms are analyzed to improve device performance.Additionally,this paper summarizes imaging technologies used with AlGaN FPAs in recent years.Benefit!ng from the development of AlGaN materials and optoelectronic devices,solar-blind UV detection technology is greeted with significant revolutions. 展开更多

Deaths or other legal disputes caused by novel coronavirus pneumonia(COVID-19)may require forensic pathological autopsy or forensic clinical identification.During daily forensic identification of cases in which individuals died of infectious diseases,forensic identification agencies and experts should be fully aware of the risk of infection when dissecting and examining such cadavers.Furthermore,forensic identification personnel should always adopt eflfective protective measures.As a novel infectious disease,research and information on COVID-19 are updated rapidly.Therefore,guidelines should be carefully selected for forensic identification.In addition to the above aspects,this paper has also discussed other common issues during the forensic autopsy of patients who died of infectious diseases,such as professional ethics,informed consent,insurance claims,and environmental protection. 展开更多

Layered type-ⅡWeyl semimetals,such as WTe_(2)/MoTe_(2),and TalrTe_(4)have been dem on strated as a supreme photodetection material with topologically enhanced responsivity and specific sensitivity to the orbital angular momentum of light.Toward future device applications with high performance and ultrafast response,it is necessary to understand the dynamical processes of hot carriers and transient electronic properties of these materials under photoexcitation.In this work,mid-infrared ultrafast spectroscopy is performed to study the dynamical evolution of the anisotropic response of TalrTe_(4).The dynamical relaxation of photoexcited carriers exhibits three exponential decay components relating to optical/acoustic phonon cooling and subsequent heat transfer to the substrate.The ultrafast transient dynamics imply that TalrTe_(4)is an ideal material candidate for ultrafast optoelectronic applications,especially in the Iong-wavelength region.The angle-resolved measurement of transient reflection reveals that the reflectivity becomes less anisotropic in the quasi-equilibrium state,indicating a reduction in the anisotropy of dynamical conductivity in presence of photoexcited hot carriers.The results are indispensable in material engineering for polarization-sensitive optoelectronics and high field electronics. 展开更多
