Application of unified protocol as a transdiagnostic treatment for emotional disorders during COVID-19: An internet-delivered randomized controlled trial

BACKGROUND The coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic has been an emotionally challenging time,especially for young adults.It is associated with a substantial increase in the prevalence of mental health problems,negative symptoms,and stressful experiences that compromise well-being.In low-income countries,internet-delivered psychological services could have a remarkable impact on the population’s mental health,given the lack of mental health professionals.AIM To investigate the efficacy of internet-delivered cognitive-behavior therapy(CBT)-transdiagnostic intervention for adults with emotional disorders.METHODS In this internet-delivered randomized controlled trial,102 students with an emotional disorder(mean age=28.20 years,standard deviation=5.07)were randomly allocated to receive unified protocol(UP)(n=51)or treatment as the usual intervention.Following a semi-structured clinical interview,participants completed an online survey including the Overall Anxiety Severity and Impairment Scale,Overall Depression Severity and Impairment Scale,Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale,Positive and Negative Affect Schedule,and Emotional Style Questionnaire.RESULTS The participants showed a high degree of adherence.In total,78%(n=40)of the experimental group participants completed the UP treatment.Considering the intention to treat procedure,the results of the analysis of covariance indicated that participants who received UP showed statistically significant changes in depression symptoms[Cohen’s d=-1.50 with 95%confidence interval(CI):-1.90 to-1.10],anxiety(Cohen’s d=-1.06 with 95%CI:-1.48 to-0.65),difficulties with emotion regulation(Cohen’s d=-0.33 with 95%CI:-0.7 to-0.06),positive affect(Cohen's d=1.27 with 95%CI:0.85 to 1.68),negative affect(Cohen’s d=-1.04 with 95%CI:-1.46 to-0.63),and healthy emotionality(Cohen’s d=0.53 with 95%CI:0.09 to 0.13)compared with the control group.CONCLUSION This study’s findings highlight the potential value of transdiagnostic internet-delivered programs for young adults with an emotional disorder during the COVID-19 pandemic,and expand the research examining emotional well-being improvements resulting from CBT-transdiagnostic interventions.The findings suggest that UP,which generally concentrates on reducing negative effects,can increase positive effects.

A Study on the Correlations Between Chinese EFL Learners' Autonomous Learning and Their Cooperative Learning

Cooperative learning and learner autonomy have become heated topics in English teaching.Many researchers both at home and abroad have carried out the study on this field,and they proved that learner autonomy and cooperative learning are rel evant,cooperative learning can promote English majors’learning autonomy in terms of listening,reading,speaking,however,no obvious findings in vocabulary and writing.This study is conducted to prove the feasibilities and effectiveness of cooperative learning applied to foster first-year non-English majors’learning autonomy from the aspect of vocabulary and structure.The re sults of this study showed that cooperative learning was much more effective than traditional teaching approaches in fostering some positive affective factors.According to this research,cooperative learning can also improve learners’vocabulary and struc ture significantly.

Evaluation Index System of Green Public Open Space Based on Internet of Things and Mental Health

With the emergence of the loT era,wireless sensor networks will be more and more widely used.In addition to collecting,transmitting and processing simple data such as humidity,temperature and density of the dome,they can also provide multimedia information services such as video and images.It enables more comprehensive and accurate environmental monitoring.Therefore,MSDs have a huge demand in military,daily,forestry,biomedicine and other fields.The intensive city model has obvious advantages in meeting people's diverse needs and comfortable life.Most obviously,it speeds up the rhythm of life for residents,thereby increasing efficiency and saving time.Starting from this aspect,this paper conducts a research on the evaluation index system of public built on the following areas of open space loT and mental health.In this paper,the GRNN neural network model is constructed,the mean condition is calculated,the density function can be estimated,the network output,and the schematic diagram of the generalized regression neural network is improved.Using the established system,the index in 2018 is selected as the base year,and after transformation,the standardized values of the past years are formed,which are substituted into the cells to form different matrices.The value of each cell is counted to obtain the subsystem coordination degree,and the global coordination degree is obtained through calculation.The evaluation results of ecological civilization construction and development in 2018 and 2019,2020 and 2021 were compared.The experimental data shows that compared with 2018,economic development will change from 1 to 2.000,social harmony will change from 1 to 2.480,ecological health will decrease to 0.850,environmental friendliness will decrease to 0.750,and comprehensive evaluation will decrease to 0.513.This shows that while the economy is developing this year,the construction of ecological civilization has been gradually carried out,and good results have been achieved.This reflects the effectiveness of the system.The subject of the evaluation index system of green public open space based on the Internet of Things and mental health has been well completed.
