Study on Resource Status and Protection Countermeasures of Wild Plant Species with Extremely Small Populations(PSESP)in Xinjiang

In recent years,the protection of PSESP has gradually become a hot issue in biodiversity research.Through the investigation and analysis of PSESP in Xinjiang,it is shown that:①there are 75 species of PSESP in Xinjian... In recent years,the protection of PSESP has gradually become a hot issue in biodiversity research.Through the investigation and analysis of PSESP in Xinjiang,it is shown that:①there are 75 species of PSESP in Xinjiang,including 22 species of trees,18 species of shrubs and 35 species of herbs.The habitats are mainly in extremely cold,extremely dry or extremely narrow conditions such as snow line,desert,mountain,wetland and so on.②53 species(70.67%)are listed as national or autonomous region protected plants,and 22 species of PSESP are not listed in the protection;there are 70 species of PSESP listed in the red list,accounting for 93.33%.③The PSESP in Xinjiang are mainly distributed in the Altai Mountains,western Tianshan Mountains,Pamir Plateau and Karakoram Mountains;they are distributed in all kinds of nature reserves,forest parks,wetland parks and other natural ecological protection areas in Xinjiang.Ammopiptanthus nanus(M.Pop.)Cheng F.,Cistanche tubulosa(Schenk)Wight,Calligonum roborovskii A.Los.and Prunus cerasifera Ehrhart have not been found in the literature,indicating that they are distributed in protected areas.In order to provide a theoretical basis for the conservation of biodiversity in Xinjiang,this paper puts forward some suggestions on the protection of PSESP. 展开更多

In order to understand the change characteristics of ecological landscape pattern of desert sewage discharge area in the desert-oasis ecotone on the southern edge of Junggar Basin,Xinjiang,based on the remote sensing images of 13 scenes GF1 and GF2 from 2013 to 2019,through image preprocessing,classification interpretation,GIS spatial analysis and landscape pattern index,the conclusions were as follows.From 2013 to 2019,the landscape area of sparse shrub forest land,grassland and saline alkali land increased,while the area of sandy bare land and pond surface increased.The mutual transformation among various types of landscapes was more active,among which the mutual transfer between sandy bare land and sparse shrub forest land was the most frequent.Various landscape dynamics changed significantly with time.All kinds of landscapes and the overall landscape showed the trend of fragmentation,discretization and complexity,and the overall landscape showed the trend of balanced distribution.The above results hoped to provide basic data and technical basis for eco-environmental protection,restoration and treatmen on the southern edge of Junggar Basin,and fill the current research gap. 展开更多

[ Objective] The study aimed to discuss the effects of the adjustment of energy structure on daily average concentration of NO2 in different regions of Urumqi city in winter. [ Method] The changes of daily average concentration of NO2 in different areas of Urumqi City from January to February ( NO2 pollution was most serious) before and after the implementation of the project "changing coal to gas" were analyzed. [ Result] After the implementation of the project, daily average concentration of NO2 in different areas of Urumqi City was increased due to the rapid increase of ve- hicle quantity, but there were certain differences in the increase among various regions. From south to north, daily average concentration of NO2 in winter was decreased gradually, that is, daily average concentration of NO2 was the highest in the south area, while in the north area, it didn't change significantly before and after the implementation of the project, but it was still high. Therefore, the local government should pay more attention to pollution NO2 during environmental management process. [ Conclusion] The research could provide scientific references for the control of atmospheric pollution in future. 展开更多

[Objectives]To explore the effects of spatial density of farmland shelterbelts on NDVI on the northern slope of Tianshan Mountains.[Methods]Taking the economic belt of the northern slope of the Tianshan Mountains as the research area and using the grid method,the spatial density distribution of farmland shelterbelts can be known.Combining the grid method with NDVI data,the average value of normalized difference vegetation index(NDVI)during the growing period of crops can be obtained.In addition,the protection benefits of the shelterbelts on crops were analyzed through comparing the growth of crops within the protection zone with and without protection.[Results]The grids with shelterbelt distribution were better than the grids without shelterbelt distribution,and the shelterbelt played a great role in promoting crop growth.In the middle stage of crop growth,the protection benefit of shelterbelt was significant.The spatial density of shelterbelts was unevenly distributed in the range of 0.6 to 0.8,and the protection benefits were poor.[Conclusions]It is expected to explore the effects of shelterbelts on crop growth at a larger regional scale,so as to provide a basis for the management and design of shelterbelts in the future,and to provide a theoretical basis for studying the protective effect of farmland shelterbelts on crops. 展开更多

A new bird record in China: Moustached Warbler (Acrocephalus melanopogon) and its song characteristics

Moustached Warbler (Acrocephalus melanopogon), belonging to the genus of Acrocephalus and the family of Acrocephalidae, breeds widely but locally in the warm temperate regions from Northwest Africa and eastern Iberi... Moustached Warbler (Acrocephalus melanopogon), belonging to the genus of Acrocephalus and the family of Acrocephalidae, breeds widely but locally in the warm temperate regions from Northwest Africa and eastern Iberian Peninsula to eastern Kazakhstan. However, this species has never been scientifically recorded in China. On 22 April 2016, a Moustached Warbler was observed in Ulanbuy wetland (43°36′N, 87°43′E; 1114 m a.s.l.), Urumqi, Xinjiang of China. This was the first photography-confirmed record of Moustached Warbler in China. As Moustached Warbler is a songbird, the songs were then recorded on 18 May 2016 using a Sony PCM D-100 recorder and the song characteristics were analyzed using Avisoft-SASLab software. The result showed that the mean maximum frequency of song strophes was 6.64 (±0.47) kHz and the mean minimum frequency of song strophes was 1.72 (±0.14) kHz. This study could considered as a supplement of the checklist of birds in China. 展开更多

Detecting changes in vegetation,distinguishing the persistence of changes,and seeking their causes during multiple periods are important to gaining a deeper understanding of vegetation dynamics.Using the Global Inventory Modeling and Mapping Studies Normalized Difference Vegetation Index(NDVI)version NDVI_(3g) dataset in the Tibetan Plateau,the trends in the seasonal components of NDVI and their linkage with climatic factors were analyzed over 14 asymptotic periods of 18–31 years since 1982.Dynamic trends in vegetation experienced an obvious increase at regional scale,but the increases of vegetation activity mostly tended to stall or slow down as the studied time period was extended.At pixel scale,areas with significant browning significantly expanded over 14 periods for all seasons,but for significant greening significantly increased only in autumn.The changes of vegetation activity in spring were the most drastic among three seasons.Increased increments of NDVI in summer,spring,and autumn took turns being the main reason for the enhanced vegetation activity in the growing season in the nested 14 periods.Vegetation activity was mainly regulated by a thermal factor,and the dominant climatic drivers of vegetation growth varied across different seasons and regions.We speculate that the increase of NDVI will continue but the increments will decline in all seasons except autumn. 展开更多
