The investigation of wild species of cultivated plants and their original habitats is one of the phases of the study on the origin and evolution of plants. On Qinghai-Xizang (Tibet) plateau, known as the world’s roof, there can be found a lot of plant resources. Thus explorations were made by us, together with Guo Benzhao (郭本兆), in Qinghai in 1978 and shortly afterwards in Xizang in 1979. Many specimens of wild species which are connected with the origin of some crops were collected and described as below.
