More importantly, pyrethroids are currently the onlypractical insecticides for impregnating bednets, and a widely promoted vector control intervention, because they are safe tohuman, highly toxicity for mosquitoes, coupled with a long-lasting residual activity in textile, and less are expensive than spraying walls for residual insecticide. They are effective in reducing child deaths, and can be better administered through a horizontal,community-based program.展开更多
