The results indicate that the EHN in studied alloy is 2.311-2.348 which is higher than that of critical EHN of μ phase precipitate (2.30), so μ phase could precipitate if there is enough thermo-exposition. In contrast, the calculated EHN is less than that of critical EHN of σ phase precipitate (2.52). However the σ phase is also observed by TEM. Enrich of Cr and Mo around γ phase after γ′phase precipitated leads to σ phase precipitated.展开更多

The microstructure of the as-tested samples was studied by scanning electron microscopy. The results show that the Nyquist plots of LY12 at different immersion time displayed different features, indicating that the Cl- ions elevate the corrosion rate and inhibit the repassivation of a metastable pit. It also shows that the corrosion product of LY12 formed in SO42- solution isn't easy to dissolve, and it will cover the surface of working electrode in the electrolyte. SEM images indicate that the corrosion apparent area and pit number of LY12 in NaCl solution are greater than that in Na2SO4 solution.展开更多

Its surface relief effect was observed and a math model for the quantitative analysis of habit plane rotation of lath martensite transformation was established by means of atomic force microscopy (AFM). The experiment showed that the largest rotation of habit plane of lath martensite transformation predicted by means of Displacement Vector Theory is 13.50°, and it's incompatible with the concept of invariant plane strain (IPS); surface relief of lath martensite revealed no character of IPS, i.e. it exhibited irregular 'N'-shaped 'surface relief packet', and 'surface relief packet' was composed of layers of several small surface reliefs, the AFM quantitative analysis of habit plane rotation of lath martensite transformation was 11.11°, which was in agreement with the prediction of Displacement Vector Theory (13.50°) and it firmly confirmed the habit plane rotation of lath martensite transformation and the correctness of Displacement Vector Theory.展开更多
